If Hippocrates actually said "do no harm", Dr. John Yee has developed his own modified version of…read morethe oath. His pledge is to "do great good for those who need you most". Two years ago I spent much of my time moving through life in a wheelchair because of a serious foot injury. I was facing seemingly impossible odds when I met Dr. John Yee. While other physicians had given up on my case, Dr. Yee engaged his unending creative problem-solving skills suggesting unique treatments that resolved my problem and resulted in a much-improved lifestyle. As I began to improve, Dr. Yee suggested that an exercise program would be essential to my regaining strength and balance. He found a gym whose talented owner agreed to work with several of his patients recovering from serious medical issues. Under his direction, five of us we're pushed and challenged and we improved --- and then Covid-19 hit and the gym had to close. Dr. Yee then stepped in and offered to personally teach us martial arts strategies and techniques to continue our recovery using a virtual platform. Dr. Yee now coaches us in strength training, balance strategies and relaxation techniques and we continue to grow physically and mentally. His gentle concern has strengthened our minds, bodies and souls. Because of his concern, I am today a seventy-one-year-old woman, who had never been athletic, exercising 7 days a week, learning taekwondo and feeling stronger than ever. I am proud of myself for never giving up. I know that I owe this new life and confidence to my brilliant, challenging physician / life coach, Dr. John Yee. I will always be grateful to him for making the latter part of my life the best part!

At 68, I developed triple negative breast cancer, a very aggressive form. After chemo and a…read morelumpectomy, Dr. Silver pronounced me "cured". (Maybe she thought I was a ham?) Two years later, the tumor reappeared at the lumpectomy site. Because I had had radiation, a mastectomy was required. When I had asked her about the benefits of a mastectomy vs lumpectomy, she retorted,"Why would you want to look like a flat-chested boy?". Eventually, it became metastatic and I ended up with 2 mastectomies. I'm glad to learn that she retired so she can't harm anyone else.

Five years later she took care of my special needs sister who developed multiple myeloma. The care she (and Meg) gave my sister, the extra love and patience for a special needs person, was beyond compare. They worked with us, her caregivers, long distance family, an ailing father and me. When breast cancer came my way in 2021, she was there. A familiar loving face with Meg at her side. The wear and tear on oncologists is tremendous and Dr Silver was a stalwart champion for my entire family. I shed tears when she retired three years into my treatment, and although I know I am in good hands with Dr Lunin, my heart wants Dr Silver and Meg...who were my family. I wish you the most peaceful retirement and thank you from the bottom of my heart for over two decades of looking after my family. I miss you!
