Different from other recruiters that I spoke to, this office doesn't provide you with information that you just want to hear or information blown out of proportion; they were honest and realistic with the information that they displayed to you. When I decided to join the USAF, I choose to talk to the recruiters here in Fairfield. I must say, they went above and beyond to help me reach my goals! MSgt Yardley was honest and straight to the point. He gave me all the information I wanted to know and more! The recruiters host DEP calls where they physically prepare you for the training at BMT. Showing up prepared helped me achieve excellent results on my PT test! Furthermore, the recruiters were able to get a couple of airman from various fields to talk to us and get an idea of the career fields available. Started as a walk-in and now I'm here, in the World's Greatest Air Force. I talked to TSgt Santos first to get my process going and then TSgt Mata helped me with the PT. Never did cross-fit until I went to DEP workouts with TSgt Mata, so PT at BMT was easy! Got Warhawk status the first week of basic training. Also, he works very hard and at a fast pace. He was able to get my Recruiter's Assistance Program paperwork back to me so that I can come home to see my family and friends. All in my first year, I have been to Texas, Mississippi and now in Oklahoma, where I met and shook hands with the Chief of Staff, General Welsh III.
