So I've been getting cosmetic injectables for close to a decade now. My goal has always been to keep it as natural looking as possible, with a little Botox and hint of lip filler. Anti-aging preventative care, to enhance and define is what makes me happy. Im new to AMET, this being just my second time there. I had been seeing the same dermatologist for the past 8 years and it wasn't until a colleague of mine told me about this place. The reason for this review now is because it wasn't until my second visit that I had the 'true experience.' In all honesty, I was truly blown away at the level of greatness that radiated from Mercedes! The way she attended me at the same time instructing her students, was undivided and seamless. I want to say I was probably the last client of the day, but I was treated as if I was their only client of the day. Mercedes' energy was contagious, as her students were just as lovely. My appointments with AMET are in NYC, as this is where I currently reside. Mercedes mentioned she's from Texas, and I'm originally from Louisiana; so it had to be our southern hospitality. From the initial greet by Lizzy, until the moment I left Mercedes' chair, not a second went by without the attention and care of these two incredible ladies. I was a model for Amet in Vegas. Not only did I wait hours but I paid hundreds of dollars for toxins and fillers that did not work. I've had these services before so I knew what to expect. Three weeks later, after giving them plenty of time to show results, I contacted AMET.. they told me a refund couldn't happen but I could go back the following month to have it redone at no charge. The next month I again waited over two hours for my appointment. I explained which toxin was used before and reminded them to use a different type. They informed me they didn't have what I needed but could use more of the previously used toxins. I was very frustrated.. did I waste all this time and money and it again wouldn't work. Idk if they're charging us for fake product or what but I'm a month out with zero results again. I contacted them and they told me to go elsewhere. Terrible communication, just a scam to get your deposit. Last second cancellations saying logistical issues. This happened not once but twice in two months. Another course I show up wait for an hour, then the instructor says no you don't need anything you aren't a good candidate. I'm in my late 40s. So I wasted my time driving from across town, to sit and wait, they are always 1-2 hrs behind, to be turned away. Horrible customer service. Just a big run around. Wouldn't recommend. I wish I could give are the most unprofessional supposedly doctors who took an oath to first do no harm and ignored that completely did every kind of harm there is to me emotionally mentally psychologically physically they left me with the worst depression, and they could've cared less most uncaring did not hear nothing about not rectify the situation. They lied to me so many times they were just trying to stretch out the time so that they could just put it behind them while still suffering months later people me why I have two black eyes months later and they won't return my phone calls. I specifically said don't go near my eyes and they did just the opposite of what I said because I was just a lab rat to them. They had a checklist they had to finish and they did whatever they wanted to do to me exactly look at the pictures. They look terrible to this and I never even had so much as a a dark circle a near my eyes and now look at my eyes ruined and they don't care. They didn't listen to a word. I said they just did whatever they wanted like I was a lab rat and then charge me for couple things I the small things they never went near ignored the whole thing and did whatever they wanted. I'm not going to recommend aesthetic training unless the nurse already has a job in an aesthetic office. Nurses take theses expensive courses and then can't get a job in the field. So for that it's a waste of money!!!! Make sure you have an injector job before investing in expensive classes! read more

I have attended 3 times, and they do a great job and everyone is so nice and knowledgeable! My ONLY issue has been difficulties with parking. The first two times I went, they had fully validate parking, so I was expecting the same for the 3rd appointment. Unfortunately I was told that it depends on the hotel, and for this hotel they don't normally give validations, and they were only able to give me one since there were enough left at the end of the day. BUT, the validation only covered $20, and the full parking cost was $42 for up to 1 hour, which is insane! And AMET did not give me any kind of heads up at all about this, it would have been nice to at least have been told in advance. If parking were fully validated every time, I would definitely give 5 stars! read more

This review is for the course conducted by the same company in Los Angeles CA. Susan was my instructor. She filled class with her stories after stories. She was never able to get her point across. I finished the class with no knowledge gain. I still have no idea how or where to inject Botox. I believe the other reviews with 1 star are real and the ones with 5 stars are done by themselves. My girlfriend was a pin cushion, err "model" for them in PA about a month ago. Today is April 27th, and she is still swollen and looks horrible. I don't know what kind of product they injected her with, but she looks bad. All I can say is DON'T DO IT!!! We have tried to get in touch with them. They are students, but at least with a hairdressing school, you can at least wait for hair to grow back. This place ought to lose it's accreditation license (if they have one) read more

Ruined my face. The instructor clearly had no sense of what is symmetrical because she botched my lips (I've had juvederm in my lips several times). Not only did I wait almost a month for swelling to go down, I have gotten several stroke-looking comments about my face. Contacted customer service with and they said go back to the person who's judgement allowed my face to be botched then they stopped replying when I asked for a refund. SCAM. UNPROFESSIONAL. the people taking the class each injected .2cc for reference. This is not a hands on course for those taking it either. Took the botox dermal filler class. Big pitch on discount for advanced class if purchase during this beginners class at discount. Required $500 deposit and instruction to gain experience for 6 months to 1 year before attending advanced class. I since decided not to continue my practice and contacted them to request return of my deposit. I was informed that deposit was non-refundable. This was not disclosed in the class when purchase was made. I contacted customer service and the Director without a response back. I feel totally ripped off. If you attend this class do not expect alot of hands on experience and do not place deposits for future classes. Very disappointed and would not recommend. read more

I have attended two of the advanced training seminars. The instructors are very informed and confident in assessing and evaluating the clients. It is also very hands on with several sets of eyes watching, and asking for your input every step of the way. Susan ruined my face. The trainees are mostly nurses who have never injected Botox or fillers in their lives. My face is lumpy and asymmetrical. Save your face and you will save your money. If you are trainee, look elsewhere. There are 20+ crammed in a room. Most of the time you will be watching and maybe do 1/2ml of fillers if you are lucky. You won't get in depth education.
