We worked with this firm for two years, and it proved to be a major setback for our operations. Despite being assigned a "QuickBooks expert," the firm failed to manage our Housecall Pro integration correctly--continually insisting we simply unlink it. As the business owner, I was eventually able to coordinate with the software providers myself and fix the integration settings within just two weeks. Because our books were not being reconciled monthly as promised, we were advised to file 2024 taxes that were admittedly inaccurate to avoid "correction costs." This resulted in us overpaying on our tax liability based on flawed data. After I hired an independent bookkeeper in late 2025, they uncovered over 700 uncategorized transactions dating back nearly a year. Most damagingly, the firm underpaid our Q3 and Q4 Texas state sales tax. I am now personally responsible for the resulting fines and penalties. Despite these documented failures, the firm still charged $1,000 for "work performed" during the period these errors occurred. When I reached out to the owner to dispute this, they refused to take any responsibility for the penalties their mistakes caused. If you value accurate bookkeeping and a firm that stands by their professional work, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

She made that extremely clear by answering EVERY question with "I'm not a tax person so I'm not qualified to answer that". So in theory yes You were responsive but accomplished absolutely nothing. The phone call that I personally had with you, I had to ask you at least 10 times to quit interrupting as you tried picking apart every sentence I said. Instead of listening to the whole experience you were asking about, which would help you better understand that situation in entirety. But yall are a spam tax shop and nothing more from mmy experience. I got absolutely no tax advise. No tax strategy talk. I paid yall in full what you asked got months ago. The location is serene, green, always cooler than in town, there's always a breeze. It is a small barn but their focus is lesson students and lesson horses. The horses were great too, the 2 I trained on were sensitive to leg and hand aids. I love that this is truly a lesson barn and that they take great care of their horses and pride in them. The horses were so sweet! I had to stop going due to the heat, schedule conflicts and some body image issues. I plan on going back, Erin is the best teacher, she is really good at what she does, she trains the equestrian teams at Texas State and UT I believe too. Very prestigious. But she is down to earth, approachable, flexible and friendly. I valued that too as there is a lot of snobbery, unprofessionalism and mistreatment of clients and horses in this town too. I loved how Erin cared for her horses and as I client I felt valued too. She taught me so much in the 2 short months I rode at SHJ. I can't wait to go back. This truly is the best barn in Austin and I mean, I rode at 2 other barns and it was no bueno. This place is awesome. A great value, you truly get what you pay for and more. I felt more confident as a rider after riding here, less anxious and more serene. When I go back to riding this will be the barn I will call. If I ever buy a horse this is where I will keep it and if I decide to lease a horse I will lease it from Erin and John her husband. They are real professionals, yet laid back and friendly.
