Our son Blake (now 2nd grade started end of 1st grade) been going to Huntington for about six month have seen great improvement in reading and writing and vocabulary. Slight improvement in math but he really doesn't like it so I understand the slow improvement. But his reading and writing greatly improved and it showed on his ISIP test. I recommend Huntington and specially if you have K-3 grade who needs 1-1 tutoring. Staff there is very nice but Julie the coordinator is great! read more

Would give it zero stars if I could. Paid a significant amount of money for an ACT course for my daughter. It has been a horrible experience. They did not cover the whole curriculum, keep changing teachers and cancelling sessions (as they claim they are always sick). They take no responsability and blame the student, who happens to be an A student in high school. Owner clearly has a very significant staffing issue but seems to be in complete denial about her business been in total shambles. If you cannot provide a quality service to your clients then perhaps you should not take them on. In particular when their college future is involved. Shame on you. read more

I came seeking help, knowing that my child was on his way to hating learning and reading. Mrs. Becky did an assessment and immediately created a plan to get us on the right track. I trusted the process and it worked. Mrs. Becky found the right tutor for my kid and trained others to ensure we could have flexibility. Her staff went above and BEYOND. I highly recommend Huntington for anyone who has a child struggling in school. My child continued to get further and further behind and by the end of 4th grade needed help! We have worked with different tutors along the way but the difference with Huntington is that they don't just help my child stay afloat, they fill in the gaps. They tested him to find out exactly where he was at and work to get him where he needs to be. We started at Huntington during the summer before 5th grade and continue going a couple times a week. My child's confidence in school has skyrocketed!! He is bringing home A's, working hard in class and on homework, and feeling so proud of himself! The fact that he is able to go back and work to master fundamentals in math and reading, is huge! It is expensive but my family all agrees, it's the best money we have ever spent!! read more

Our Son has ADHD combined with dyslexia. Despite his high IQ, he struggled with reading skills and was several years behind reading grade level. Although the programs offered to us by Lake Travis ISD helped our Son, he was still insecure, shy and struggling. We interviewed several Learning Centers before hearing favorable feedback about Huntington and the Local Owner, Sherry. Since having our Son at Huntington for over a full semester, he has gained self-confidence and has advanced a full grade level in reading. The 1 on 1 instruction he receives is giving him the skills he needs to move to a higher level of proficiency. Sherry has been an excellent communicator and attends conferences with us to make sure everyone is on the same page in helping our Son succeed. Our last conference with our Son's teachers, principal and Sherry reflected his improving skills as well as his increased confidence and renewed attitude towards school and learning. Our expectations have been greatly exceeded and we highly recommend the Huntington Program. read more

I enrolled my son into a customized program at Huntington center. After going to Huntington for a few months, my son took the STAAR test in his school. His STAAR reading score was worse than the previous year! I was surprised and concerned, so I talked to Sherry, showed her the result of the test, hoping that the Huntington team could find out where the problem was and gave my son tips to improve. Before my son's program ended, I texted Sherry asking if they had a test for my son to take to see if he made any improvement? Sherry texted 'yes' back to me. When I called the center the following day to find out when my son could take that test, I couldn't reach anybody. I emailed, waited for a few days, nobody replied back. Thinking the email might have gone to the Spam folder, I called the center again, then I reached a male assistant, he said Sherry was busy, so he took my message for her. After that, I still didn't get any phone call, email, text, nothing back from Sherry or anybody from Huntington about the test!!! Needless to say that I'm very disappointed with not only the program there, but also the treatment that I got when the program ended. Before enrolling into the program, Huntington had a diagnostic test (not free) that allowed them to know what my son's level was. So, I assumed that when the program completes, they should have a similar test to check his level. They were very responsive before we got into the program, but were surprisingly unresponsive when I asked for that test. Looking back, I should have discussed with them about how to measure the success or at least some improvements before paying in full for the program. Before going there, I did check reviews and they were quite positive, so I didn't think for 1 second that they would ignore me or didn't really care how their students did following their customized program. For the whole time my son went there (several months), they helped him with homework if my son needed to, that's the good part, I give them credit to that. However, my son never had a single handout or note or written tips, especially for the reading part where he had problems with. Honestly, until now I can't tell what he had learnt there. If we go to school without notes/books, how long can we remember anything? I'm still very surprised and upset of their silence treatment, considering the business they're in and how long they're in the business. read more
