Worst medspa I've ever witnessed. Staff is unprofessional, manager is unpleasant, No sense of business manners, & I doubt that their injector is even a nurse? She stuffed me with lidocaine (inside & outside of my mouth) after reading my medical records and I verbally conveyed to her that I was allergic to lidocaine. I nearly went into anaphylaxis shock! Completely negligent! I was choking, vomiting, shaking and had heart palpitations for hours. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! read more

Aespala is a hidden gem in Oakbrook. I had gone to a previous med spa just down the street in the mall and always felt that their customer service was not what it should be. Danielle is always incredibly sweet getting me booked for my appointment with Rhonda and everyone else that works there are always so welcoming and kind! As for Rhonda - what can i say...she is the most nurturing, kind, knowledgeable, talented nurse injector in the area. Rhonda did it AGAIN! This was my 3rd time getting my lips done by her and they look better and better every time. Shes genius and so down to earth. You feel like you've known her for a lifetime. Anyway, This time I requested a more rounder look and she nailed it. I will admit this look was more painful (which she warned me) from previous visits but I'm SO happy with the final result. I followed Rhonda from Rejuvenate and I'll follow her where ever she may go next!! The only thing I was not happy about with this spa is that they only allow you to finance with CareCredit if you spend a minimum of $1,000. I purchased a Groupon for 3 fat vanquish sessions and unlike the other review, I spoke with Danielle and she was able to get me in as soon as possible. I was given instructions to do before each treatment. I arrived early to my first appointment to fill out paper work and get measurements such as BMI, weight, and waist and bust sizes. Then onto laying down in a room with dimmed lights and a comfortable bed. I was offered a pillow under my knees and a blanket. The actual machine doesn't hurt or make you feel any different other than feeling like a heating pad on warm. I ended falling asleep. Before I knew it, Danielle came in to wake me up. I made my next appointment for the following week. My last appointment was scheduled for a Thursday although my other two appointments were on a Wednesday. I received a call on Monday that my appointment had to be moved to Friday. I was okay with that, but I was called into work so I let Danielle know that I would be running about 20 minutes late for my 3pm appointment on Friday. She had no problem with that, even though they were closing at 4pm on Friday. She didn't cut my vanquish session short and was very polite and accommodating. My overall experience was very pleasing. I still have to go back for a follow up measurement appointment to see how many inches I lost and take my BMI again. I noticed a difference immediately! It was crazy she had said at my first appointment, "You might not see a difference on the scale, but you will notice a difference in jeans that haven't fit before." She was absolutely right!! I was still wearing my maternity jeans from a year earlier and less than a week after my first appointment, I had to get rid of all of my maternity jeans because they were falling off of me!! I absolutely loved the experience and I would definitely go back again. You just have to follow the advice given to keep the inches/weight off! I found this place through Groupon as well as a suggestion from a few friends. I called and made appointments for facials for my mom and I and the manager, Jamie, was SO nice and understanding when I had to keep calling her back to change times. My mom and I walked in and the spa was beautiful. Very well furnished and pretty to look at. The ladies at the desk were very friendly. My facial was done by Maria and she is THE BEST, so kind and friendly. I have scarring on my cheeks and she told me great and inexpensive ways to lighten them. We had great conversation and she was very knowledgeable on skin care and answered all my questions. My mom got her facial done by Cherry and she said she was also very nice and was very relaxed when it was all done. Overall amazing experience at Aespala!!! read more

On a good note, Rhonda was great, just great, but she is no longer there and reviews for Rhonda should be removed. Cherry is wonderful with the facials and such a nice person. I had filler put in the sides of my mouth in early November with no great outcome. I've been calling the Manager since 11/30 with multiple messages and finally got to talk to her in 2021. They asked for photos to be e-mailed, but when I called again they said I had to come in. I asked for a copy of my medical records and all I got was a piece of paper with the type of filler and how much filler. My name, date of service, etc. was not on the "medical report." It was a waste of my time going there when it was freezing outside. I was told I would be reimbursed only $480.00 and the Manager took down my credit card number. Next thing I know they now what me to sign an Agreement that states "the refund issued is a courtesy to the patient and in not a result of unsatisfactory results and/or adverse outcome to any services rendered at Aespala." This Agreement I cannot sign because they can, legally, turn around and say they decided not to give me the courtesy and I agreed that the result was not unsatisfactory. The Agreement only had the Manager's name typed in at first, until I asked her to sign it. I was told yesterday that a new Agreement would be sent today with that language removed, but I received nothing. On 2/18/21, I went to another provider who did a wonderful job and that cost me an additional $750.00. The new provider did work on the sides of my mouth and under my eyes, but Aespala only worked on the sides of my mouth for $680.00. The new provider did a wonderful job. The new provider did it differently with injections in the proper areas with no pain at all. I experienced severe pain and bruising from Aespala who injected in the wrong areas. After the injections were done by Aespala, I said that my mouth still has frown lines. The injector, Teresa, said that is not what I came in for. They are corrupt. It's a shame, a rotten shame. I have filed a complaint with the Attorney General and the BBB. I will wait for a reply. read more

I have been going to Aespala for a couple of years now to see Cherry for anything from a hydro facial, BBL, chemical peel, dermaplaning to classic facials. She is very knowledgable and always has the right recommendations for my skin. She gives a great massage when having a relaxing facial and I love that she is always very thorough with extractions. The spa is brand new and very nice, however, they assured me that I would see results - even small ones - from an expensive procedure ("This works for EVERYONE!") and I received no results at all. Zero, zip, zilch. I was then told that I would receive some sort of discount on another procedure to make up for the lack of results, but they never followed up and I never heard back from them.
