I just dropped a load of waste and boy do I feel good~! *clapping dust off hands* E-waste that is. Through the years, I have accumulated too much junk. From clothes, to papers, to electronics - they all must go! So as we near the close of winter, I figured I should get a head start on some spring cleaning. A quick Google search for local recycling businesses that take old/used/broken computers, printers, phones, and other electronics lead me to Advanced E-Waste Solutions. The place is a little tricky to find as they've recently moved so the address in Google is incorrect. The cross streets are Commonwealth and Orangethorpe, and the business park is located between two railroad tracks. Look for the Ellie's Pho signs and they are right behind that building. I forgot to ask his name, but he was very personable and nice. He helped me unload all the junk from my trunk and even let me peek inside the warehouse. It isn't very large, but you can tell they can handle large volumes as well. AES accepts all kinds of items for both home (tvs, air purifiers, digital cameras) and business (servers, pos machines, barcode scanners). For smaller amounts they request you do a drop off, but for sizable quantities you can schedule a pick up. They already work with various companies and can even help set up a recycling program for your business. read more

My eleven year old 47 inch rear projection TV died a horrible death by convergence and I don't have a truck to haul it off to an electronics recycler. I tried calling another place listed in the Pennysaver that said they'd pick up for free, but they never showed up. After Googling the words "large TV recycler", the company name that appeared at the top of the list was AES Electronics Recycling, so since they were located in Fullerton, I called. The lady on the phone was great. Yes, I had to pay $35, but they scheduled a date and 3 hour time range for a pickup as well as offered to send me a destruction certificate. And because I paid for a pickup, they also allowed me to add any other items I wanted to have recycled. So the day comes, and they call to say they are on their way and to find out where to park. They were on time and although my son had to help load that huge TV in the back of their van, I'm so happy that it's gone! And they took the old DVD player, too. read more

TERRIBLE! JUST AWFUL! I contacted them offering an old heavy TV for pickup. AES responded and I was given a date and an approximate time frame for a visit. I confirmed by phone the day before. I waited patiently inside my home for approximately half the day. No one ever showed up. No one even had the decency or common courtesy of a phone call or an e-mail. Just can't get any more unprofessional or unreliable than that!!!! read more

Called the store to see if we could drop off some TVs someone answered and hung up right after. We drop off the TVs in the back and a man came out to ask what we were doing and being extremely rude calling us liars about calling the store. Definitely would not come back here if I could give a lower score I would. read more

So, I had 2 TVs that I wanted to drop off. I pulled up to the front and the sign said to go in the back of the business to drop off electronics. I drive to the back and see a stack of electronics. I wanted to call first to make sure it was ok, not just assume it was ok. I called and a man answered "AES Electronic Recycling", I told him I had two TVs to drop off and just wanted to make sure it was ok. No response on the other side, I said hello 2-3 times, no response. So we waited outside for 2-3 minutes in case he was going to come out. Nothing. So we dropped off the two TVs and as we were about to get in the car, a man came out and said "What are you doing?" I told him we dropped of "those two TVs" he said "Did you call?" I said yeah about 3-4 minutes ago but nobody responded when I was done talking. He said "You're Lying! I'm the only one here". I said uh, someone answered AES electronic recycling and didn't answer me after I was done talking. He said, "I'm the only one here, u didn't call, ur lying". I was shocked. Why would I make it up? Just as I was saying u can check my phone to show I called, he said, "whatever, we're not supposed to be taking TVs right now". So I said, oh ok want me to put it back in my car? He said, No too late, you already dropped it off. Totally rude, zero customer service. I was shocked that he would talk/treat me and my son like that. Will never go back and recommend people to NOT go there. Didn't get a name, but being that he was in a hurry to go to the lunch truck, told me enough. read more

Short story: Helpful, patient, and the best we've used so far! For now, all I can say is I would not recommend any other eWaste recycler over this company. Long story: My employer had about 3 truck-bed loads of eWaste that needed to be addressed. I had gone over with three additional coworkers the day before and made a list of what was being kept and what was being thrown out, and the next day found AES recycling. I sort of chose to use this business on a whim and because they said that they could pick up the stuff (for free) at a location not-all-together too close to their business. The only down side was that they had originally told us they'd be there between 1:00-2:00, and they were not able to make it until 2:43 pm. But everything else was GOLDEN! Communication was good; the driver (a gentleman named Brent) as well as the young woman who took all of our calls did their absolute best to communicate with us regarding when the car would arrive, how long the driver would be, what was taking so long, and so on. The driver arrived at 2:43, took inventory of the stuff, and then proceeded to single handedly load all of this heavy nonsense into the car. He was done by 3:20 pm (after we discovered another truck bed's worth of junk that we hadn't seen before) and he took off. And throughout the whole duration of the collection, he was nothing short of polite, pleasant, and professional. It was really remarkable! At 3:20 pm, we call our coworker and ask if everything is good and send photos to confirm that the right stuff has been given to the gentleman. Our coworker says we are good and we thank the gentleman for his time and he heads off. THEN! At 3:23, we received a call from our coworkers stating that one of the items we had given the gentleman was the WRONG ITEM! We frantically call the business, they frantically call the gentleman, and they gave us two options: they could continue to try to get ahold of the driver and have him come back, or they could hold our junk until the next morning and one of us could go pick it up! (Either way was very considerate of them.) Brent get's the message, heads back, and spends another 40 minutes with us as we dig through piles of garbage and finally pluck out the items we were supposed to save. Throughout this whole shindig, Brent was nothing but polite, patient, kind, considerate, and professional (I would have been swearing like a sailor). The young lady who took all of our frantic calls was nothing but pleasant and professional and did everything she could to help us. Next time we use their services, we will be MUCH more prepared on our end and will do our best to make their jobs easier. For now, all I can say is I would not recommend any other eWaste recycler over this company. read more

This took place today at a Recycling Event held by this company at Sierra Vista Elementary in Placentia, CA. BRAINLESS MORONS they only took 2 bags of old cables and nothing else! They left all this behind although their website states they accept old printers and cameras which was left in our car after they closed the trunk. Consider hiring more competent employees and volunteers. It's a HUGE slap in the face trying to do good for the environment and now you're stuck with this junk you don't need anymore and are forced to improperly dispose of it. read more

They seem to take anything electronic, even an old kenmore canister vacuum cleaner. This place is good to know about if you have a bunch of junk to drop off and you don't want to wait for the next e-waste pickup to roll around in your neighborhood. This is the 2nd year in a row we have used AES for a recycling fundraiser and it was a HUGE success both times. They assist you by providing banners, door hangers and people to run the event. You only need to provide a place and some volunteers. The people working with AES are extremely helpful. I will for sure have them help me coordinate this next year. read more

I just came here with a huge drop off and it was one of the smoothest ones I've had in awhile. It was a pretty big order (20 computers, some servers and laptops, and a bunch of LCD's) and they basically unloaded everything and they did it super quick. I've been working in IT for years and I think I just found my go-to spot. read more

A little hard to find, especially with the road construction on State College. Don't use the map on Yelp. They are basically at Kimberly and State College. Quick service. I caught a guy walking in with his lunch who took my stuff and put it in a van. Called twice and was helped promptly and pleasantly. read more

Gotta love this company not only they are very nice, they wont charge u anything. They even come to ur place and pick it up for free. Other companies that I called are rude and they charge at least $30-50. Next time if you moving out. I highly recommend this place. read more

Had a recycling event on 10/17/15 for a fundraising event for an ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and as of today we have not received payment. Multiple phone calls have been made and only one time was the phone answered. They indicated payment was sent out in November, no receipt. when I did speak to them they told me there was a problem and the check would be ready in a week. They would call me when I could pick it up. At the event the staff was friendly however their office staff is far from it. I would seriously question using this company. read more
