I booked two business class seats for a flight on 03/03/25, Colombo to New Delhi costing £1180 but had to cancel on 20/01/25. The refund was registered and I was given a case number. Since then, despite numerous emails, nothing other than an email stating that your details have been passed to the appropriate department for action. It is now the end of April and still not money and not even an acknowledgement of my emails. I cannot believe that it is incompetence but am coming to think that my emails have been blocked or worse, directed to the junk box. Unfortunately, they are not like most reputable airlines that have grievance or complaints section that deals with such matters, you are totally ON YOUR OWN. We did rebook the flight much later and it was excellent with the cabin crew were well up to standard. It is just a pity that the backup administration is such utter rubbish. Sorry Sri Lankan, I cannot recommend you as an airline, in fact I would strongly recommend not flying Sri Lankan. Next time it's Air India despite the very early morning take off time.

I was so happy when my daughter gifted me an upgrade to business class on my way to Europe…read more I was surprised to see that there wasn't much more leg room than economy but the seats were wider and comfy and there was only two seats to a row. During the flight I tried to go into First Class to talk to my daughter and was stopped at the curtain and told I couldn't go past the curtain even to talk to my daughter. However, she was able to come back to the "cheap" seats and brought me some fresh fruit from first class which was a nice gesture. My seat mate slept the whole 10 hrs which made for a prefect flight.

It's a day flight. We'll have a full menu shortly after taking off, and a high tea before landing. The minibar is mostly empty. The VS Lounge on the ground is far better than the Amex Centurion.

First we were turned away from checkin because we were too early. The girls counted on her fingers and said " come back in an hour". So I come back in an hour and she turns me away again, " come back in an hour , I'm sorry I counted wrong". When we finally get to the lounge I found there was nothing but soup and rolls to eat, aside from some wrapped cookies. There was a decent self service bar with wine and spirits. So they got two stars instead of one. Aside from that the place was clean enough and there was plenty of seating. (Which was no surprise because who would want to pay for this.) I paid $32 USD and all I got was a bowl of soup and a drink before having to depart for my flight. This was a total ripoff.

We found it odd that there were no staff members in the area. We saw crew arrive so thought the plane would be on time. Still no staff at the check in desk. The departure time came and went. All the passengers still sat with no information about what might be happening. After an hour and a half, one staff showed up and began helping customers who were lining up. About 10 minutes later, we began boarding. Still no word why we were held up. Planes on the runway were now backed up. At least we were told this. We were delayed 30 more minutes before take off. The Captain did come on to explain why the flight was so delayed. Could SAS not have told us this earlier? As a result of the delay we missed our connecting flight and what would turn into a very long evening and into the next day. I firmly believe that one of the most foremost things a company should strive for is to keep their customers informed. Come on SAS, it's not that difficult. I still give the SAS workers at the counters and desk a 5 star rating. Each person we dealt with was friendly, efficient and thorough.

This would never happened on any other airlines and I have never experienced it earlier. I am a very frequent flier. A very defensive answer instead of stating that they will look into the incident. Does SAS really have safe routines?

The best part was that the seating was comfortable with a 17" width (which is average) and a good 31" pitch and in a 3x3x3 configuration. The meal was a good burger dinner with a decent red wine, and I was ok with that. A cheese wrap was also provided before landing. The flight boarding was orderly, we arrived on time with no issues, and our stewardess was smiling and friendly. 4 lavatories located near the center of our section was adequate, and it seems lavatories aren't located in the rear anymore for what that's worth. Entertainment selections were extensive and good. I've had a lot worse long haul flights, so I was pretty happy.

I didn't receive a confirmation until later in the day when I got a phone call at 5 AM, Texas, US time to ask me where I was. I had given them my credit card number on the web site to secure the reservation. I tried to work with the company and the company they sent the reservation to, London Airport Cars, to work out a compromise where they could keep the payment and just reschedule it for the original date in August. They refused. I disputed the charge with my credit card and on October 1, received an email that they were not going to pursue the dispute. Then on October 15, while I was out of the country, they went ahead and sent something I never saw to the credit card bank. Since I was out of the country, I never saw that letter and wound up being out of time to continue the dispute. I am now out over $216 US having been charged for a car on a date I was home in bed. The company admitted to me that their booking engine defaults if any changes are made. Evidently this happened to mine, but I never saw a confirmation to question it until after the incident. Use another company to book with on line. This company's practice of changing the date and charging when you don't expect to be there is unfair and could very well be illegal.
