So…read morewhen my daughter's first birthday party became a topic of conversation in my household, I came up with a detailed and comprehensive party plan, complete with intricate themes and design work. I reached out to Wow Balloons and heard back the same day: Yes, they could complete this design work and yes, they could stay within my target budget. Perfect!! Cue Mikhail, owner of Wow Balloons. He was in frequent contact with me throughout the planning process, did a site tour with me to confirm measurements and rigging points and offered ideas for how to elevate my design concept even further - a planner's dream come true. The end result was a stunningly beautiful balloon arch in soft pastel colors that reflected our Classic Winnie the Pooh theme. The arch was dotted with real greenery to enhance the organic nature of the theme. Mikhail and his teammate had the installation completed precisely within the timeframe agreed upon and he even brought additional elements to have on-hand should we want to tweak anything before he finished. Thank you so, so much to the team at Wow Balloons! You gave me peace of mind that this milestone event would be designed perfectly and it absolutely was. I look forward to hiring Wow again for future parties!

Couples use the Contagious wedding portal to track guest count, obtain vendor suggestions, and update financial spreadsheets. Additionally, the portal has a monthly tracker for couples to check off completed tasks. It makes the whole planning process so much easier to handle when you have all the information in one place, and broken down into easily digestible bullets. Joe also sets up monthly meetings to keep us up to date and on track with the planning process. Before I conclude, I also have to mention how absolutely helpful Joe was during Covid. Like so many couples, we had to reschedule our planned wedding in 2020 due to the pandemic. It was incredibly stressful and disheartening experience, but Joe really took a huge burden off of us when he reached out to all our vendors and ensured we were able to reschedule without hassle. That alone was worth every penny we paid. Joe is amiable, professional, organized and gave us great wedding advice! His assistance truly lifted such a burden off of my (now) husband and my plate during the hectic and stressful wedding planning process. Hiring the Contagious team was the best investment in our wedding we made! 5/5 stars!

Two weeks before the date, we discovered Joe at another wedding that he had planned. He seamlessly pulled all the loose ends together, coordinated the caterer, the photographer, and the piano player, made floral arrangements on the fly, and created a décor that was specific and special to us. It allowed us to kick back and enjoy the day with friends and family. Joe and his staff made sure the guests had what they needed to have a good time. We are so grateful to Joe and his team for this!

To enter the tea room, you have to go through the gift shop and exit the door on the left to walk down the ramp to Abigail's Tea room. Once you arrive you can go to the counter to order a meal (salads, sandwiches), or snacks like cookies, brownies or scones. There is an option to taste 5 different types of teas that were aboard the ships (and were eventually dumped into the water). You can opt for a cup ($5), Souvenir mug for $10.95, or a tea platter ($20) which includes a pot of tea and two scones and it says it serves up to 4 people. I opted for the $5 cup since it's unlimited refills. The tea shop has a big dining area with a view of the ships and the wharf. The 5 tea offerings included: *Young Hyson - "Early spring green tea typically picked before the end of April" *Singlo - " Chinese green tea varieties picked later in the season than early spring Hyson" *Bohea - "Black tea from one of the oldest and most famous tea growing areas of china, the Wuyi Mountains." *Congou - "a black tea, refers to a tea made with the highest mastery or artful skill to produce thin, light strips without breaking the leaves" *Souchong - "a classic black tea from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian province in China with a very distinctive smoky aroma" I thought most of the teas were good, my favorite being the Congou, but the Souchong was not my favorite due to the smoky flavor. The gift shop was fun and full of neat souvenirs like teas, teapots, general Boston kitschy items, and things for the 250th anniversary of America. Well worth the visit if you are in the area!

I wanted something to keep the kids busy with a variety of activities, and I knew right as I was talking to Curt on the phone that he would be perfect! This is the first time I've hired a children's entertainment company and it definitely won't be the last. All the adults were saying how great he was! Balloon twisting kept the kids happy and busy while the adults got to socialize and prepare food.. face painting was awesome. All the kids were so excited to show everyone their balloon surprises and what they got as face paint. The magic show was so adorable and entertaining we all got a kick out of it. And I was lucky enough to be involved in the parachute game... that was fun and tired the kids out! Barney was the icing on the cake for my daughter... the kids got to dance and play with Barney While we got the cake set up... Then he participated in singing happy birthday and pictures. Perfect way to end the party! Thank you Curt for making my daughters party (and our first party at our new home) an unforgettable day!!!
