Honestly, the hardest part of the entire experience was choosing our colors from the full RGB spectrum -- the options are endless! I was planning my wedding from afar (like.... multiple states and time zones afar). If you're going to do that, you NEED to have vendors you can trust to handle things properly when you can't watch them all the time. Downtown Uplighting was excellent - they were great to work with online, they kept us posted on everything, and never got annoyed with our newbie questions about lighting, what we needed, and how much. I think they did really well with understanding the overall vibe we wanted (i.e. no 80's laser shows for us!) and helping to customize their product for our budget. When the actual big day came, they were professional, fast, and on time. They worked seamlessly with our venue coordinator and were flexible to everyone's schedules. Downtown Uplighting was hands down the best choice for uplighting for our wedding! They were responsive, accommodating, and so easy to work with! Alison and Rob were quick to respond to our last-minute request for uplighting for our wedding. They dropped off the lights the day before and picked up the lighting kit the day after our wedding no problem; they even threw in a couple of extra lights! The lights themselves were so easy to use and could be personalized to whatever color we wanted! While most other uplighting costs an exorbitant amount, Downtown Uplighting was extremely reasonable. Rob and Alison Loiselle did the uplighting for our wedding on 9/9/17 up in Ogunquit, ME. We told them the color theme of the bridal parties in advance and let the professionals do the rest. They took it upon themselves to contact and meet with the venue coordinator, facilitating the whole process on our end. The venue was a little outdated and rustic, but with the uplighting they arranged it looked amazing!! Do yourself a favor and book them for any event you may be having. Can't praise them enough! Downtown Uplights was a relatively new company compared to some of the other uplighting services I looked into...but man do they know their stuff! They were also so easy to work with. While I was shopping around it was so hard to get a rough quote from some of these larger companies. These guys were happy to give me a quote, explain their really easy pricing setup, and lighting design ideas we didn't even know or think about! Really good things to say about Downtown Uplighting. We used them recently for an event and they were so much cheaper than renting lights through our DJ. They also made it really easy by dropping them off and coordinating the pickup with us. The lights gave the room the extra touch that it needed without blowing away our budget.
