He sold me a used engine and we agreed on the price and installation. He guaranteed the engine and the work he would do. (verbally of course). Once the jobs were supposedly finished and I had paid him well over $10.000, the boat did not work properly. I got stuck in the water because the shifting was not working properly and the engine dying out. This is when he started saying he is not responsible for any electrical/electronic problems, shouting aggressive absurdities and not to call him again! Can you believe it ? He did not even change the oil and filter in the 2005 engine ! He even went further to charge me top retail prices for used parts he put onto the engine which should have been included in the engine price. Turns out that after 17 days of agony and another $3000 in labor and parts down the pit with an expert Mercruiser mechanic that did he not only sell me an engine which could not work properly with my Alpha drive (since it came off an Bravo drive), he used all the wrong parts and turned the engine into a mutant. I have owned boats for 25 years and can honestly say that he is one of the biggest crooks in the business. Do yourself a favor and keep well away from him and his business. I know it's very hard to find reliable mechanics in Florida, but this guy tops the list for the most dishonest, incompetent and aggressive.

He came by to assess the condition of my boat and without any pressure or sales tactics, simply explained his offerings and how they could benefit my boat. His prices are very fair, but the quality of his work is exceptional. His attention to detail and thoroughness was incredible. On an unusually warm day, he worked for hours to make my boat look incredible. He was quiet, asked simply for a hose and access to electric, and worked diligently until he was complete. In today's marketplace where it's almost impossible to get a return phone call from service providers, Matt is an example of a business owner who takes pride in his work and his company. Not only do I highly recommend Matt and Too Clean Marine for correction, sealing, detailing, but I have now added his washing/cleaning to my regular routine for keeping my boat in tip top shape. Thanks Matt!

Traveling south from the Chesapeake Bay preparing to cross the Gulf Stream to the Bahamas and south…read morefor many months, I discovered last Sunday, December 5, 2021, when we arrived in Fort Lauderdale that the steering on our tender had almost frozen up. I tried to free it up as best as I could by lubricating the steering rod and ensuring the engine turned freely on its pivot, but nothing worked. Monday morning I began calling all local vendors looking for a steering cable that I might be able to replace. Fortunately, I finally contacted Inflatable Boat Pro and spoke with Ken, one of the owners. He said that he would check for a cable and call me back. As promised, he called back, had a cable, and advised the 50 hp engine might have to come off to replace the cable. If I could get the tender to a local boat ramp he would arrange for a pick up. I explained that I was trying to cross on Wednesday and he said he would do what he could. Ken's driver met me as promised within two hours, put the tender on a trailer, and drove me back to Hall of Fame Marina where our trawler Shangri-La was located. Tuesday morning Ken sent me several photos of the engine removed from the tender and the work underway. Not only were these folks able to replace the steering cable that day, they also did a full annual service on the outboard. Ken himself picked me up at the marina with the tender on the trailer and drove me to the ramp and launched me Tuesday afternoon in a perfectly functioning tender. This simply could not have been a better experience. Prompt response, professional services, accommodating our time constraints with a 24 hour turnaround, and a very reasonable charge for expertly performed high quality work were provided. This level of service is extraordinary. I highly recommend Inflatable Boat Pro to anyone seeking an inflatable boat, dinghy, or for service work. You can't go wrong with these folks! I have been looking for a new dinghy and was recommended to your establishment by a friend. My…read morewife and I went to your place last week to select a new dinghy but we were unable to decide. It is good that fate was on our side and looking out for us. Our friend that recommended your facility was just charged an exorbitant amount for a repair that should have been covered by a warranty. When I questioned him concerning the repair cost he told me that the purchase was "without warranty". I have never heard of such a thing. As a former business owner, my word was my bond. I would never cheat a customer over a couple of dollars concerning a repair. To begin with, your employee was woefully unprepared. I assisted your customer with the delivery of his dinghy to the launch ramp. When we arrived, your man was late (first problem). The second problem was that he was unprepared to make the necessary, minor repair to the dinghy as he had no access to electricity to run the inflation pump (a low cost inverter should be part of the stock equipment) which should be backed up by a manual pump. The repair should have been made at the launch ramp and you should have eaten the cost of the repair as a matter of good relations with customers both current and future. I was having lunch with your customer when he got your bill, a bill that should never have been generated. To say the least, I will not be back for that dinghy. You have stolen from your customer at the cost of your good name. I will be posting this on YELP to assist your potential customers in making the right decision which is obviously to go to another dealer with scruples. The only reason I have given this dealer one star is because there is nothing lower. Negative stars would be appropriate.

After 10 years of using Preferred Marine on multiple boats (and providing many long term client…read morereferrals), I can honestly say that over the last couple years the reliability and overall management of this business has declined substantially. Can't blame this on Covid or the supply chain crisis, just burnt out management by a small business owner. Truly rock bottom status at an impressive level. At this point I have wasted more time trying to simply get a response from Preferred Marine compared to the time it would take to fix the issue with my motor. As of today it has been 93 days since I hired them to service and troubleshoot my engines. 93 days of being dragged along with terrible communication, lack of professionalism and yes of course, still a malfunctioning boat engine with no resolution in sight. This is what I got to deal with: * May 24th I scheduled them to service and fix an oil pressure sensor issue with my 300 Verado before a Bahamas trip. * June 17th they completed a 100 service on the boat and replaced the sensor. * June 21st I had to plead my case to get Preferred marine to submit the Sensor for warranty coverage. ( they were very reluctant to submit a warranty claim which is weird). When they finally did submit it Mercury accepted it without a problem. * July 11th I returned from the Bahamas and emailed PM and informed them the issue was still happening and had become worse (I had to limp half the trip on 2 engines). Kathy deferred to Kirk. * July 18th I had to reach out to Kirk directly since there was no follow up by him. Kirk replied and said "hopefully next week" * July 22nd (the following week) I replied and said thanks and keep me posted. With no response or update that week. * July 29th I reached out again directly and asked for a follow up. again there was zero response from the owner of the company. Fantastic service. * Aug 11th After emailing my frustration with terrible communication I get a reply from Kirk asking for a call, which was then setup for Aug 16th. * Aug 16th No call from Preferred Marine. Email saying they will call tomorrow. * Aug 17th No call of course * Aug 18th I write a follow up email, with no reply or call. * Aug 23rd today. Here we are 93 days after hiring Not Preferred Marine to troubleshoot a warranty issue on triple 300 Verado's under full Platinum warranty and we have got nowhere using this Mercury Certified provider.. - Has the issue been resolved or have they even attempted to come back out? NO - Has anyone at preferred marine communicated throughout the process? NO - Can I use the boat without my center engine going into safe mode and then shutting down? NO What a joke and waste of time. I guess if its not a full repower $$ they don't have time for it!

My experience with Eclipse has been exceptional. During my first visit to the shop I was impressed…read moreby the scale and capabilities for the facility. I was more impressed by Joy Hutchinson's investment in modern tools, process, and talent, which is refreshing in an industry that generally adheres to the status quo. All of the work performed for us to date by EC has been of exceptional quality, delivered on time and with no drama. EC's investment in CAD/CAM provides tangible benefits in way of client and designer understanding during planning stages, by provision of isometric drawings which can be further developed into high quality renders. Production accuracy is better assured, with the ability to repeat exactly according to the original work. If a client elects to change the fabric at a future point in time, the digitized patterns enable reproducing the work without the need to access the vessel and manually generate new templates. This is also significant in way of repairs/replacement of items where the vessel is located away from the facility locale. Planning flexibility is also significant, as it allows for gains by virtue to have the digitizing performed well ahead of the required production/delivery dates. If a project timeline or vessels itinerary changes, the requirement to schedule and execute manual patterning has been eliminated, and it is only a matter of initiating production. Additionally, if a vessel is engaged in the owners use or charter, the production can be performed while the vessel is in use, to result in the items being available immediately upon the vessels return. I feel that the elements described will benefit those who recognize the tangible benefits of an optimized approach, and I would highly recommend Eclipse be considered for any project where a high level of quality and performance is required
