What? Does the Ventura office have all the clients it wants or needs? After calling to find out what it needs from me, and despite fact that my PPO allows me to go to any specialist, I was told I needed a referral. My doctors office says they sent a referral to the PT but it's representative says in phone conversation the referral is not there. Why doesn't he take the initiative to work with the doctors office? Great staff!!! The people here are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Both my wife and I used their services at a previous location. I have also needed their services after they moved to their new location. It's a new location, but the same great service that they are known for. At their previous location, they helped me recover from my back surgery. More recently they have helped me regain my strength and mobility after a shoulder injury. This place is FANTASTIC! After receiving a knee and ankle injury diagnosis and a script for physical therapy, I was referred here by a friend who'd had a great experience here after having her hip replaced. I have had significant improvements each week as I've done PT with Jacquie and I couldn't be happier to finally be rid of all the pain and suffering I'd been experiencing! Jacquie recommended I get a massage with their in-house masseuse, to bring some relief to my body, which is a little out of whack from compensating for my unbalanced weakness due to my injuries. The massage was such a great experience! Dawn has been doing massage for 18+ years and I left there feeling like a new being! Such wonderful stress relief and relaxation!! I chose Advantage because they were able to fit me in at very short notice to treat a sprained calf muscle. Jacquie Maroun was my therapist, and when I told her that I was going on a hard ten-day hike in less than two weeks, she rallied to the cause and in three highly expert treatments had me good as new. Jacquie is a very experienced and thorough therapist; she knows what to look for and how to treat what she finds. Her practice is well equipped and her team efficient and capable. Jacquie is a miracle worker! I trained for the 50K Bryce Canyon Ultra for six months and she helped me resolve knee problems during training. Less than a week before the race my back/pelvis went out and I could barely walk. I thought the race was definitely off. But after a couple of days of intense therapy I was able to complete the 50K with no pain. Amazing. read more

I love this place. Jacquie and her staff are complete professionals. What I like the most is that someone is with you for the entire time of your physical therapy appointment. You are not left alone with a task so they can serve someone else. Jacquie is so knowledgeable about the body and explains things, so I leave there with knowledge in hand. I have been disabled for 5 year's and have used a few physical therapy centers, and Advantage is by far the best. I have had the bennefit of each of their therapists work on me and they are all top in their field, and have some of the best gizmos that provide faster than normal results. They are very friendly, and are motivating while you go through the some of the necessary exercises by explaining the goals of the particular exercises. The office personnel do their best to get the times that fit your schedule, and have been great with working with my doctors to get the additional therapy that I need. The owner is a therapist herself and just fantastic. I don't give many reviews, but this place is excepional and when you are in pain you need a place that is this good. Both my wife and I had been a patient at this facility for over a year. We were seeing Jan and she was one of the best physical therapists you can hope for.She was always eager to to help, and professional. She encouraged us to go forward without pushing too hard and she's very honest and patient . the staff were all friendly and courteous as well as the owner who was always available if needed. Each member of the team was polite, professional and personally interested in our recovery and general health and would try to make our visit as convenient as possible no matter what. During the time that we both went there we never came across any issue unlike some other places they don't over charge you or your insurance.highly recommended !!!! read more

I struggled to find a competent PT in orange county. I had a bad experience with one and after calling almost everyone, I could not find a location that provided the services I felt necessary for successful PT sessions. And then I was told about Advantage PT by a family friend. Advantage is amazing. They are one of the few that will work with you one-on-one for your entire session. They dont simply give you an exercise and walk away to help someone else. They watch your every movement, spot you, consistently ask if everything feels ok and then adjust the exercises as necessary. To top if off they are some of the most knowledgeable PT's I have ever met. I have a chronic illness that occasionally lands me in PT for extended periods of time and in fact I will probably be in PT indefinitely now in order to attempt to stay ahead of my condition. The therapists at Advantage are among the best I have ever worked with. They are knowledgable in all aspects of PT, from alternative modalities to dietary support to strength and conditioning and range of motion. I really can not say enough about everyone there. They even have someone who specializes in neuro-muscular massage. AMAZING! My husband recently underwent hip surgery and they have him speeding toward complete recovery as well. Sometimes you have some bad luck...like when I hurt my lower back. My physician said I had 2 compressed disks. Sometimes you have some really GOOD luck...like when my HMO referred me to Advantage Physical Therapy. I should add that I waited over a month (from the time of injury) to schedule the appointment. I figured (wrong) that the pain would go away if I just rested my back. After just the FIRST visit to Advantage PT, I was feeling MUCH better. I was given a thorough examination and then provided detailed information about a path to rehab. This included targeted exercises, specific diet supliments and a roadmap to recovery. Each member of the team is polite, professional and they are personally interested in your recovery and your general health. You may not always be with the same PT. Don't fret...they are all very good! read more

If you are in need of physical therapy then you should really give Advantage PT a try. The staff is very professional and kind. The thing that I liked the most was that they spent time explaining my injury and explaining the mechanics of the exercises that I was doing. I was able to visual how what I was doing was helping my healing process. Another thing that I really liked is that many of the things that I did there, they showed how I could easily duplicate at home. I'm sure that sped up my healing process, learning how to work on my own as well as at my appointment. They have everything that you need to work on whatever ails you. They also have massage therapists on site. I'm sorry if you need physical therapy, that must mean that you have some kind of pain. I was in excruciating pain before coming here. This place is a saving grace!!! The entire staff is extremely knowledgable and whoever you see, you're in good hands. When you have an injury and are going through physical therapy, you need a strong supportive coach to help you recover. My favorite is LISA!!! She is always eager to to help, upbeat and professional.
