Other PTs tried getting me to invest in costly new age or forever ongoing treatment so despite my hesitation, I am grateful to report that prayers are being answered. Madeleine at the front desk has been consistently helpful getting me in after a cancellation and even checking with my insurance so there were no surprises in pricing. She was delightful and it was great to finally meet her in person. I was seen immediately after check in and Dr. Kevin provided an assessment. He allowed me to share the full scope of what was going on, administered stretches and movements, answering all my questions and shared his diagnosis of the problem. Thankfully, surgery would not be required. After addressing the problem, he helped me understand the mechanisms that led to it and turned toward focusing on the solution. After taking me to the therapy room him and his team began working on me, compressing and decompressing the affected area, and taking me through many of the movements I will need to do in between our next visit. One of the things that stood out was the love and teamwork in the room, not only from the staff but all the patients. It was obvious that the Kinetik Team put people, not paycheck first. The patients loved the team and many of them had conversations around what's important to all of us, family, work, vacations and life in general. Sure helped us take our mind off the work we were all doing to rehabilitate. I was very well cared for and felt valued. I scheduled my next appointment, have my treatment overview and left with a sense of hope for healing and restoration along the road ahead. If you need PT work, this is 100% the place to go. I also had balance issues and had suffered numerous falls. After undergoing the excellent training Balance provided I no longer need the wheelchair or walker I was using. This was nothing less than vocalizing the concern of Mobility Physical Therapy for avoiding any potential liability as opposed to my own well-being. Their assumption was that their patient (myself) would attempt to avoid personal responsibility for my own well-being in regard to my own pain. There are numerous other scales and methods available for health care professionals to use in evaluating an individual's pain levels, for example the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI)/Roland-Morris Questionaire.
