I was serviced by sales rep Tim. I felt that the quote was reasonable but did have to secure the…read morequote by putting 30% down. The work was started on Sept 8th and completed Sept 12th. So we did not park or walk in the concrete for 10 days. Mind you both entry ways to the house were done. I followed all directions of not disturbing the concrete. I also complied with advertising on my property. On Sept 22nd I noticed what was considered a "settlement" crack per Tim. He also stated that it takes a total of 28 days for the concrete to completely cure. I was told someone would come out to repair it. I continued to reach out and was told they were really busy. Then once winter arrived I knew they wouldn't be able to do the work. Fast forward to March I started tracking out again. They finally came in April to "patch" the crack. It rained about 3 hours after they left and it looked as if nothing had been done. I reached back out and was told that is the way it's supposed to look and they would be back. Well now it's June almost July and no one has returned and now another crack has surfaced. Although they have been nice and courteous the follow-up does not meet expectations. It'll soon be a year and I paid as agreed but the service once they get your money lacks.

She apologized for all the difficulty we've had, and installed a NEW flat roof system, for FREE the next day. I'm incredibly pleased with their response and commitment to their work. The new roof looks beautiful. Original review: This is a hard review to write. When we contacted Prompt Service, they were friendly, and seemed efficient. Their prices were competitive. We had them install a new roof in January 2008. It cost approximately $4500. By the middle of 2009, we had significant leaking over our living room. (And when I say significant, I mean it destroyed the ceiling, the walls, the bay window, etc. We later discovered that the water damage extended into the ceiling of the next room.) Insurance came out and cut us a check for the room damage, but we had to pay to repair the roof. I contacted Prompt. They came out and determined that the problem was a small porch (like a widow's walk) that we had on our upper level. They said they would tear up the porch and rebuild it, because it was initially installed incorrectly. This cost us an additional $3,500, in January 2010. This seemed to fix the problem for about six months. Then we started having leaks again. Our living room was again trashed. Insurance got really serious this time, and sent out a structural engineer. He stated that Prompt should never have installed architectural shingles on a flat roof (which the back part of our house has). I called Prompt, and they disagreed, saying it was okay as long as there was rain-and-ice shield under the shingles. We called an independent roofer, who also came out and told us that the shingles shouldn't have been installed on a flat roof, but he also thought that maybe the porch was still causing the problems. He's willing to re-roof that portion of our house, to the tune of $1,700. I've already paid Prompt Services $8,000, so I don't think I should have to pay another contractor to repair incorrect work that's already been done. But now Prompt won't return my calls. So there you go. The roof is pretty, but if it doesn't keep out the rain, what good does that do me?

After scheduling, the scheduling manager continued to contact me numerous times, prior to our meeting, to confirm my availability, in which I double checked all the pieces above. Never was I told to allow for a 30minute window, so imagine my frustration when I blocked off an hour for work 2:00-3:00pm, and the guy showed up at 2:30pm, upset with me because I needed to end at 3:00pm. The estimate went quickly. I tried to cover everything we wanted, allowing time for him to take measurements, draw schematics, and have time for follow-up questions, but it felt disconnected and rushed. I was told we would schedule a follow-up Zoom appointment to walk through everything- I scheduled a time period with the scheduling manager, again blocking off work- only to have them call 20mins before the appointment and cancel on us because they weren't ready with information. Then I waited days for them to call back to re-schedule the appointment, but never got contacted. Overall, it wasn't a good relationship. We didn't feel cared for or considered as new clients, so we removed them as a possible vendor.

My experience was extremely disappointing and filled with red flags from start to finish. After payment was made, communication from Mr. Coleman became inconsistent and unreliable. Calls and messages were not returned in a timely manner--if at all. He frequently went silent for long periods, leaving me without updates on the status of my own project. It also became clear that Mr. Coleman is primarily a salesman and does not perform the work himself. Instead, he hires third-party contractors to complete the job. At that point, you would be better off hiring the contractors directly and avoiding a middleman who does not follow through on his commitments. I initially chose to trust him based on positive reviews and wanting to support a Black-owned business. However, professionalism, communication, and reliability matter in any business--and unfortunately, this company did not demonstrate those qualities. If you move forward after reading this review, understand that you have been warned. The lack of responsiveness, accountability, and follow-through speaks for itself.
