I didn't want to take off time from work and they booked me for an evening appointment between 6-7 pm on a Friday. The tech showed up right on time and got to work. The procedure is relatively simple but if you run into a snag getting the rod out then it can be time consuming so I didn't want to mess with it. Less than an hour later he was done the cost was $250 which is inline with the range I was seeing online for what people paid with other places. I saw a wasps nest on my front porch as I was paying the invoice with the tech and he went to his truck and got some wasps killer for me to use.

Then when I went to pay the invoice, they increased the amount by $70! He said he needed to install a new flange which raised the cost. I watched the process and understand that he needed a new flange to bring the level up to the tile level. But he never indicated this would cost an additional $70! I specifically asked for the total cost. And would have appreciated him telling me during the process that he was adding another 12% to the cost. Now I feel like he took advantage of us. These plumbers pulled our toilet to clear the clog, then put a camera in the system and found that we have a collapsed pipe. Heidler put a camera in but said it was too dark to see. The current plumber said it was too dark because the clog had not been removed.
