Realizing I wanted to replace all the windows and patio doors, I delayed a year and contacted Frank when I was ready. First of all, Frank is a joy to work with. He was always communicative, prompt and friendly. He offered for us to come out to the showroom and see the windows and doors in person. I went with the Milgard Trinsic Windows and Doors. Second, the install team was excellent. Every day, they arrived on time and hit the ground running. Having a number of contractors for projects over the past 5 years, this team has been the best. I moved out of the house during the project, but I stopped by daily and everything was always cleaned up and in order. Third, I really appreciated the effort and thoroughness on the last day of cleaning the exterior and especially the interior of the house. The team takes great pride in their work and you can tell that is 100% employee owned. If I had to say there was a down side, its you may be in for a wait when placing your order because their work is in high demand (the first year quote, I would have had to wait 4-5 months). Finally, the windows and doors are beautiful. What a difference this made in regards to temperature, sound, and clarity. Not to mention, the ease at using the doors and the contemporary narrow frame modernized our home. We could not be happier.

One of them was damaged(I wouldn't have noticed). They installed it, ordered another window, and replaced the damaged one when the new one arrived at no charge to me. I love the windows. They are energy efficient and let in so much light!

The seal on one of them had failed. A few other windows had been updated with frames that didn't match other windows, so there were 21 in all. We contacted Clark County Public Utilities for recommendations of programs that would qualify for an energy efficiency rebate. Josh is the owner of Absolute Windows & Doors. He did the estimate, thoroughly explaining our choices. When we first met him, he seemed very detail oriented, and he assured us that he would personally do the work along with his employees. We were delighted when his bid turned out to be the lowest of the three. When they started the job, it was immediately apparent that these are professional craftsman. They set up scaffolds on our one-story house to give them quick access to a whole row of windows at once where the garden below is uneven. The windows were mostly installed from the outside after they fastened tarps on the inside the prevent debris and rain from getting into our house. They were also very careful to avoid tracking outdoor dirt into the house. At the end of each day, they did a thorough cleanup. They also planned the job to do one section of the house at a time so that we would be minimally inconvenienced. Unlike some companies, they were willing to include in the price the removal and reinstallation of our window treatments, and that was flawlessly accomplished. The end result is beautiful. One detail that Josh recommended was to provide framing that would offer a more uniform surface between windows that were close to each other. This looks much better, and isn't something we would have considered. His workers are polite and are easy to communicate with. They work hard and fast, and it took a day less than Josh had estimated.

Well...the quote for the windows was $5k. The quote to install them was $8k on top of that! Are you kidding me? After I stopped laughing I arranged to buy the windows but wanted to have Lifetime measure them to make sure that was done correctly. That price was $750 to come out and measure 3 windows! Begrudgingly I paid that just to be safe. The guy that came out to measure told me to just let them know if we had any install questions. The largest window came in two pieces. I reached out to find out if Milgard provides any kits or best-practice instructions for "mulling" the windows together to ensure a tight seal. Reached out again. And again. Finally got a call back to say "we're waiting on the Milgard rep and will get back to you"....well that never happened. Windows were installed and they are fine but the severe lack of follow up up by a company that will quote you $8,000 to install 3 windows left a very bad taste and we will look elsewhere for future window needs. RESPONSE TO OWNER: Sir, no amount of training, experience or insurance justifies $8,000 for installing 3 windows and your company's quote was nowhere near competive. I got two other quotes from outfits just as reputable as yours that were several thousand dollars less so you can step down from the pedestal....you're not the only reputable game in town. I would not be posting this review if the issue was soley cost. I can always go elsewhere for windows. Nor was I holding you accountable for installtion challenges. I was mainly holding you accountable for not following through when we were promised assistance with questions. There you failed. The main question was simply to ask if all the parts were there for the install. And since you didn't deliver my screens with the window delivery (I had to call back for those too), I'd say it was a valid question. BTW, being someone who mainly just posts negative reviews doesn't suggest anything about me or the honesty of my reviews. It's quite common for people who normally wouldn't bother to post reviews at all, to go to the trouble only when they feel strongly about something one way or the other. But nice try tho!

With the heat we've had the past few summers and then the snow that seems to be a yearly event now, we thought it was time to get a really good widow upgrade. We also wanted out house painted after installation and Clear Choice set that up for us as well. (See my review for Triple A Painting). What we loved most about dealing with Clear Choice Windows & Doors was the personalized service we received. They have a large selection of window frame materials to choose from and our choice of fiberglass was an easy one. It was explained to us that fiberglass windows are stronger than both vinyl and wood, making them incredibly resilient to weather and climate -- perfect for PNW homeowners. From start to finish, our team of window installers provided friendly service, excellent craftsmanship, and it took only two days to install the 10 new windows in our home. Before, during and after, the team cleaned up and kept the work site tidy at all times. There was minimal damage to our landscaping as well. We can feel a definite difference in the inside temperature of our house since the new windows were installed. Our AC doesn't seem to work as hard and it takes less time to cool off in the summer and to heat in the winter. The outside look is classy and fits well with the style of our house and the neighborhood. We highly recommend Clear Choice Windows & Doors if you're looking for new windows.

One screen was left in the garage, two screens were sticking. Trim work promised not done at all. I had to have another contractor do it. A gap in one of the sliders with no trim to cover. One of the windows did not slide correctly. And then took a long time to get the job finished. We ordered 4 sliding glass doors and several windows in December and installation was mid April. Milgard technician could not come until June 28th. And all he did was make some minor adjustments and spray with Silicon. No defects in the screens not sure why we had to wait for Milgard. In addition communication lags were up to a week. Again no one told me they were finished. I figured it out when I got the invoice. It was then that I heard that the screens were defective and needed Milgard to come out. Then there were some explainable phantom texts to me that I never received. Then a form for rebates was sent and when I completed I hear back I don't qualify. I interviewed 5 companies and went with 4 Seasons and Jamie as they were competitive in price and really liked Jamie. i think the company does good work but in this case there must of been some other job more urgent. Overall the job is done but far too many issues and lack of follow through. I would not use them again.
