American Window undercut the estimates of the other two vendors by a substantial margin. We also really liked they only asked for a modest down payment. Jay was our sales contact at American Windows and he was absolutely great. He has an engaging personality, and kept all his commitments to us. We appreciated that when installation day came, he swung by to ensure all was going well. Oh, how did the installation go? It was fantastic. Not only did the windows and door come earlier than promised, the American Windows crew came on time and worked quickly and professionally. We were amazed that the whole job only took 4 1/2 hours to complete. The windows and door materials are high quality and we are very satisfied with the results.

We decided to drive an hour out to their showroom without calling first. Even though they weren't open yet and are by-appointment-only, Phil greeted us without hesitation. It turned out they couldn't take on our small window sill repair since they didn't install the original window, but Phil helped us anyway! He gave us repair ideas, explained potential causes, pointed us toward the right tools, and gave us contacts who could help. To top it off, his cuddly dog Wilson kept us company, and Phil even recommended a local spot for lunch since he knew we had a long drive. We are completely speechless at his kindness and support, despite not even being paying customers. Based on this first impression, we would work with Phil any day. The world needs more people like him!

Our initial experience, a full home window replacement, was excellence from product quality, installation, value and customer service. Once again, this has been our experience. A call to their Chantilly office, Sheryl had Joe scheduled for a consult the next day. Our vision: a sliding glass door to replace a pair of windows, allowing backyard access. Elimination of the adjacent window paned entry door and egress, enlarging our family room living space. From our vision, Joe proposed an alternative, balancing remaining windows and transom with a custom size ProVia sliding glass door. His revisions made significant enhancement to the room's footprint and allowed us to move forward with replacement our front entry door. Here again, with my general vision, Joe brought his professional guidance and we had selections made in minutes. Our new ProVia entry door... I've never made a change to our home that has had as many compliments or requests for referral. From here, we need to thank Sheryl for her patience and professionalism accommodating scheduling adjustments, of which there were several. Ricky and his assistant managed a one day installation of both doors accommodating preparations for an exterior siding replacement and finishing with flawless interior appointments. As observant DIYers... witnessing Ricky's install was a master class in carpentry. Attention to detail was above and beyond. Lastly... my delay in posting this review has tested our ProVia doors with Virginia's '26 formidable deep freeze. They performed beautifully. We're very very satisfied customers. We wish Tom the best as he enjoys retirement and thank him for the service he extended to us to unquestionably be repeat customers. Entrusting the business with Joe and NOVA's team continues your exceptional business and solid reputation.

We ultimately chose them, over one of the large companies, because one of our big windows needed a sill replacement with some "custom carpentry" to get it level with an adjoining countertop. Virtually no other contractor said they could it. Window Man ended up nailing it. Install wise, they operated much better than the most recent contractor we used for a different window replacement, and the level of work was clearly much higher. Not just with the windows looking good but with little things like showing up on time and cleaning up.

We'd had trouble getting a contractor for such a small job before, so I appreciated that. The work was done in under a half hour, looks great, and they left no mess or trace at all. The total cost was $295, which felt reasonable to me. I'd happily hire them for similar work in the future!

I asked for a premium product initially and realized it wasn't in my price range at all. He reworked promptly the quote for a different slider at a lower price point. I was having an inner slider removed as well as the outer slider replaced and wasn't expecting any door company to do any of the trim/painting after removal. He also stated his people could do that no problem. I had had multiple quotes his came within range of the others (better than most of them) but with a fiberglass door instead of vinyl which from what I could research is a better material. Because of COVID-19 the wait was 10 weeks out and the install was done within the time he quoted. The install men came on the day promised and were polite. They replaced the outside door, removed the inside door, and installed and painted trim. It looked so good I handed the guy the second check before he handed me the keys for the outside (now only) slider. The only thing I am a little iffy on is if the new Marvin door will last. It was immediately after installation allowing water into the inner sill for a stationary piece of the slider through a hole between the moving door piece's base/sill (it seemed to be a manufacturing defect?). The company did respond promptly and fixed that issue, but I'm not sure it will be a permanent solution.
