I first started coming here a few years ago but that stint didn't last very long. I found a different treatment plan for a while. That being said, I always remembered how friendly the staff is, how communicative they are, and how nice the space was. Eventually it was time to come back and I'm so glad that I did. Not only are all the previously mentioned things still true, but after about four to six weeks I've definitely seen an improvement and a decrease in my back pain. I've seen Dr. Troy and Dr. Heather and I can highly recommend them both. I love how they ask me what's been bothering me, and then noticing a few days or even weeks later that the issue resolved itself or improved. I also like that they do not use a cracking method here. As satisfying as those cracks sound, I prefer their activator technique. It's more gentle and for me, clearly makes an impact. Overall, I recommend this office, for sure! I first heard about Advanced Wellness Center when Jayme was doing the adulting with Yelp series. I didn't attend the one at this office when they had it that day but I did meet Dr. Heather in person a few weeks later at another event. Thank god I did! I was having so many issues with my lower back hurting and she could see it and reached out a hand at the Beauty Boost Summer Fitness Sampler Event. I am very thankful for having the chance to speak with her at this event and getting a great deal on a consultation/x-ray for treating all the aches and pains I was experiencing not only in my lower back region but in my neck as well. Dr. Heather also knew Dr. Skaates who I'm currently seeing for chiropractic care, so we worked out a plan between the two offices what would be the best plan of care to treat these back issues. So you might be saying why do I need a chiropractor? Well my friend's I've had back issues since my early 20's so I've lived with this pain for over 10 years and I'm ready to treat this and get back to feeling the good old Tammy I knew and loved back in the day. I ran for miles without pain and was in the best athletic shape of my life back then, I simply want that old life back again. Dr. Heather and her staff really left me feeling comfortable after today's meeting. They really knew and understood how to treat and tolerate the pain an individual may get from daily stressor's or life in general! I have one more meeting scheduled for this Thursday and hopefully I'll be back to see what the adjustments are like here. Twice now my reviews of Advanced Wellness Center have been reported by the "Yelp Community" and removed with the recommendation to speak of my personal experience. While from my perspective my reviews did, in fact, speak of my personal experience, I can also recognize this as an opportunity to heal. I have yet another opportunity to practice talking about the abuse I endured while I was a patient under the care of Bradley Troy Walker, and Heather Peery Walker. I can't help but see the irony of this process. While I was a patient at AWC, I was mistreated in many ways during extended periods of time. I tried on multiple occasions to very compassionately voice this as a very real problem that was affecting me greatly. There was no room for my voice to be heard. Each time, what I had to say would get glossed over, shut down, attention would be re-directed, or the story would be re-written so that it came across that I had done something wrong. The story changed enough that any complaints I had were not valid and the only reason I had a problem was because there was actually something wrong with me. This is not okay in normal everyday social dynamics that you encounter in the world. When they enter a space being run by people who are licensed doctors, however, you get into an escalated level of what is considered okay versus not okay. There are reasons the profession comes bounded to specific laws of ethics. People can get into very vulnerable situations where they have no choice but to trust and rely on their healthcare providers. After everything I have been through, and after enduring the abuse of the Walkers, I understand this very well. The space allotted within a Yelp review is not nearly enough to really speak of the extent of my personal experience. Things got BAD. ONE example is that Troy turned me away when I was having severe muscle spasms. He said he couldn't help me because it was "me" and I was an emotional person. This was at a time when I had x-rays from Urgent Care and I was recovering from PTSD. He told me that I needed to go see my general MD before I could get in to see him, which meant that for weeks I went without chiropractic care while I was dealing with a crisis situation. When I did finally get back into the office he gave me a "test" while I was on the table. Apparently I passed because I identified the psoas muscle while lifting my leg. He said "That's how I know that someone isn't faking". My first thought was - "My x-rays weren't enough?" But really, I shouldn't have even needed that. My voice wasn't enough? This brings me back to why it is so ironic that my two previous Yelp reviews have been removed. Yes, they were negative reviews; so was my experience. My reviews are a reflection of my voice. My voice has been ignored by the Walkers for years now. I have tried compassion, poetry, bluntness, tenacity, descriptive analogies; any type of phrasing or paraphrasing you can think of, I have tried it. I have tried so hard to find a way that my voice will be heard by the Walkers. It's one thing if they want to isolate themselves and privately live out their lives in a chosen state of deafness; but when you open a business called Advanced Wellness Center, you are responsible for handling your own issues and making whatever changes are necessary so that you don't have the need to isolate certain people and treat them poorly. I don't want anyone else, ever, to endure the same side of the Walkers that has caused me so much damage and created such a negative experience that ultimately turned into an inescapable living nightmare. My personal experience of Advanced Wellness Center was negative. My personal experience of Bradley Troy Walker, DC#3427 was negative. My personal experience of Heather Elizabeth Peery Walker, DC#3428 was negative. And I haven't even started talking about my negative experience with Heather. I will say this. Heather is someone on this planet that has made me dig DEEP into finding a reason I can call her my sister. I honestly believe that the problems I had with Troy would not have happened if she wasn't involved in the bigger picture. He got crazy because she is crazy. She cannot be the person that she publicly strives to be without accepting responsibility for herself. And Troy continuously enables her. He is, quite ironically, the spineless chiropractor. As for my personal experience, it is a work in progress. My responsibility in the situation was that before even meeting the Walkers, I set myself up in a vulnerable enough place where their abuse had the opportunity to cause so much damage. I understand that now and that is why I can't let my story fade into forced silence. Part of my personal wellness plan is to continue to use my voice. Someone, somewhere, someday, someway, will hear me. And even if they don't within my lifetime, the strength of my voice will continue to grow. My victim's well is dry. read more

Dr. Troy is the only reason I can continue to work a very physically demanding job without pain. He also provided fantastic care during and after my pregnancy and I know that labor and delivery was quicker and recovery was easier because of his expertise. This practice is truly amazing! read more

Never having been there in person, I can't really say what goes on there. But I can say that any business desperate enough to go to the lengths these people do to get customers, can't be any good and at worst are the type that foster the worst in people and the bottom feeding scum suckers that are ruining this country. What do I mean by this? I was involved in an accident two days ago while visiting your fair city. So what do they do scan the police reports to dig up customers? First of all, my phone number should not be available. But somehow they got it. So this morning 530 it starts with the calls. Not that any of the morons bothered to check the area code. After I'd told THAT ONE OFF, it started all over at 630 with another call. Calling to see if I wanted to come in for a "free" exam. Yeah right, I'll be on the next plane. I suppose the pipeline continues and if they find any irregularity in your back the refer you to some shyster attorney to sue for damages. I tell you people this is ruining us. Next I get the mouthy obnoxious Dana Edwards screaming into the phone AT ME!!!!! THE PERSON THEY WOKE UP AND CALLED. TRUST ME I WOULD NEVER HAVE HEARD OF YOU HAD YOU NOT DISTURBED ME IN MY HOME.. Anyway, I suggested remedial third grade to learn all about what a big country we have here and how there is more than one time. My daughter, son and I had gone to traditional chiropractors with little relief. My daughter had chronic back pain from years of playing sports and we had discussions with doctors about surgery in her future. My son skies and rock climbs and was also experiencing significant lower back pain. Dr. Troy was recommended to us and our family has significant improvement with our full bodies overall functioning.
