And she showed me some exercises that I think were useful in strengthening my core. The receptionists are relatively kind and the therapists seem really nice (although my therapist was usually late to start our appointments). After the first few visits, though, I didn't find it very useful. And my pain never went away. I should warn, I'm not a big believer in the utility of physical therapy so if you are, you should take my review with a grain of salt. I've had quite a few experiences with physical therapy and I feel like it is limited in how much improvement it can bring to your pain/relief. OSU health centers offers financial assistance for physical therapy, so that's exciting. Parking is easy and free. Finding this particular center from the garage is a pain, though.

Ohio Health--you've made a fan out of me…read more Great customer service (or in this case, patient care) isn't how you handle yourself when things go right; it's how you recover when they go wrong. In my case, things went very wrong, and Ohio Health handled the situation perfectly. I won't recount my original review (you can read the terrible experience below), but let's just say I did not receive the treatment I expected. I sent out one tweet about my experience, and Ohio Health was *on* it. Seriously, these people have their act together. Let me tell you what transpired next... 1. I received a public tweet within one hour to apologize and to find out more about the situation. Their social media person and I DM'd back and forth, and she scheduled a time for me to get a call the next day. 2. Deb Kuntz (the Director of Quality & Outcomes Management) called me to apologize and to find out more about my situation. Deb does her job flawlessly. She was gracious, humble, and caring. I could easily tell she was genuinely concerned for my health--and not just removing my bad Yelp review. She knew i really liked my PT, so she was determined to get me back to this particular office again. She promised she'd follow up with me the next day...and she did. 3. Deb actually called me every day or every other day until I was able to get re-scheduled for therapy. She was clear with every step of the process. She knew it would be uncomfortable for me to go back to the office if the offending employee was also there, so she jumped through hoops to help make me feel okay about returning. 4. Ed, the Office Manager (I think that's his title, and I forgot his last name), called me a few days later to apologize and to help me get re-scheduled. He was very kind and caring. 5. I finally showed back up for therapy, and of course it was awkward, but they really did everything possible to lessen the awkwardness. At the end of my appointment, Ed asked to chat with me for a minute--he wanted to make sure everything was okay. And now, I am back in therapy and well on my way to getting my feet back in action. I am extremely grateful that Ohio Health acted quickly to fix my issue. The way they handled themselves has definitely earned a fan in me!

My two primary goals were to decrease my arthritis neck stiffness/pain and to improve my balance. Both goals were reached, with an unexpected bonus occurring of a much lower blood sugar level due to my new daily exercise routines. Because of my increased neck flexibility I feel much safer backing up my car in parking lots and changing lanes while driving. My balance is so much better, I now feel capable of walking on uneven surfaces, without having to continuously watch the ground. As a result of having a much more confident stride, I am able to walk as fast as other people I go places with, instead of just shuffling along slowly. So I have 3 healthcare insurances. The last 2 insurances are Medicare and Tricare for Life. I'm…read morevery specific when I give my insurances on how they were billed etc. On July 14, 2023 and again on July 24,2023 I stopped into their billing office and told them if they billed correctly I should not receive a bill because Tricare for Life is a wrap around for Medicare and whatever Medicare doesn't cover Tricare for Life covers 100%. When Tricare for Life is billed either correctly or incorrectly I get notified staying they covered xyz amount or they state due to x probably they didn't pay and I'm not responsible for the bill because of their error. ortho one states I owe $283.61 and never billed Tricare for Life and since we're now rolling into 3 years after the fact----Tricare for Life will probably tell them to go kick rocks. I have NEVER received any correspondence about this from Tricare for Life which means they didn't bill. What's sad is these places are notorious for partial billing and sticking the patient with what's left over-----why accept $75 from Tricare when I can bill the patient for a higher amount of $284.61 I've explained it to them repeatedly and yet they still have not billed Tricare for life and yes they accept Tricare for life. I'd been experiencing pain for about six months before finally making an appointment so didn't expect all of the damage I'd done to be erased in one visit. Jenn asked a lot of questions and got to work. At first I saw Jenn every few weeks. She has used a combination of deep tissue massage, cupping, medi-cupping and has also used a variety of CBD lotions dependent on my pain levels. I really appreciate not only Jenn's abilities as a talented massage therapist, I have also gained so much knowledge from her on other holistic approaches to my healing: stretches and herbal remedies being only a few. Every appointment starts with a discussion about any issues I've had....and lots of times I just tell her to find the areas that seem tight...it really is amazing how she can find the spots to make other parts of my body feel better! Jenn is incredibly dedicated to her business and clients and I appreciate that she is willing to go above and beyond when we discuss issues I experience and how I can supplement my massages. Although I haven't taken advantage of some of the other offerings at Modality, I think that her addition of other treatment methods shows her dedication to providing options for anyone. While I only see Jenn about once a month now, making that first appointment really was one of the best choices I made for myself in a very long time not only physically but mentally as well.
