When entering the lobby, I was greeted by a friendly, lonely checkin girl. I was a little surprised by the minimalistic, cold concrete environment. Usually most spas are warm and calming. This location had cold concrete floors and a hard wooden bench to sit and wait. However, once you went into the massage area, it was soft lighting and a unique spa area without your typical rooms, rather they were canvas dividers. This provided visual privacy but was limited on audible privacy. I could hear those in the adjacent area. They did have a nice ocean sound machine instead of the typical spa music. I kind of liked it. As for the massage, I felt listened during the initial consultation. I wanted a firm deep tissue massage. My therapist did a great job at checking on the pressure and overall pleasure of the experience. I will definitely do the 80 minutes massage next time. I went with the 50 min for my initial experience since I have been having so much bad luck with horrible massages. I liked this massage enough that I would enjoy a longer session next time. Overall my experience was very positive. I didn't sign up for a membership because I'd like a few more experiences with this spot before committing to more regular sessions.
