Even though I had found a great massage therapist at Massage Envy, their other staff and customer service was horrible. Setting up an appointment online was easy. They asked me to be in 15 minutes early. Not sure why because everything was filled out online prior to my visit. I just had to wait longer in the lobby. When entering the lobby, I was greeted by a friendly, lonely checkin girl. I was a little surprised by the minimalistic, cold concrete environment. Usually most spas are warm and calming. This location had cold concrete floors and a hard wooden bench to sit and wait. However, once you went into the massage area, it was soft lighting and a unique spa area without your typical rooms, rather they were canvas dividers. This provided visual privacy but was limited on audible privacy. I could hear those in the adjacent area. They did have a nice ocean sound machine instead of the typical spa music. I kind of liked it. As for the massage, I felt listened during the initial consultation. I wanted a firm deep tissue massage. My therapist did a great job at checking on the pressure and overall pleasure of the experience. I will definitely do the 80 minutes massage next time. I went with the 50 min for my initial experience since I have been having so much bad luck with horrible massages. I liked this massage enough that I would enjoy a longer session next time. Overall my experience was very positive. I didn't sign up for a membership because I'd like a few more experiences with this spot before committing to more regular sessions. Plus, I feel they are a little overpriced compared to other places, especially when they up charge the deep tissue massage.

The Salt sessions are $30 per session (approx. 45 minutes), but they often run specials that would be great to take advantage of. The room seats 6 and is dimly lit so it is a very relaxing experience. Tissues & ear buds are provided at each station. The lobby is really quite charming and the staff are incredibly friendly and eager to ensure that you have a pleasant experience while you are there. I really like their aesthetic very much. I had been sick weeks before my visit and had some congestion I couldn't shake. 15 minutes into the session I felt a sense of relief and was once again able to breathe freely through my nose. Again, this was my experience and I can't guarantee the same for anyone else, but I do know that there were other certain benefits such as stress reduction. Beyond the salt room that I so enjoy, there are many other services available ranging from a salt play station for kids to massage.

From the start, *Coco* had an incredible gift for understanding where my pain was without me having to say much. She used every part of her hands and arms--at one point working her fingertips along my neck and spine in a way that I don't know the technical name for, but it felt targeted, highly intelligent, and deeply effective. What stood out was how intuitive Coco was. I didn't have to give long explanations--she just knew where the sore spots were and how to treat them. She also checked in with me several times to make sure the pressure was comfortable, which I really appreciated. Note: She can really put the pressure on, for which I am extremely grateful and desperately needed without knowing I needed it. On top of that, she was funny! I originally booked a 45-minute session, and she was flexible enough to extend it to 60 minutes when I realized I needed more. We laughed about that. She also offered hot stones at the end, which was a perfect finishing touch. I never experienced that before - it certainly felt great. Overall, Coco has what I'd call a genius-level, almost mystical healing gift. It is a small operation, so she did have to leave the room a couple times to answer the phone. If that kind of thing bothers you, keep it in mind--but for me, it didn't take away from the experience. The atmosphere was calming, with soft music and dim lighting in the massage room. The waiting area was clean with some nice Asian-inspired décor. I left feeling lighter, looser, and genuinely better than when I walked in. This was perfect for my first purchased massage. ***MARION LOCATION*** It was truly healing - the inflammation and soreness are nearly nonexistent in my neck, back, and arms only 2 hours later. She offered me some water, and I drank it along with the water I had ready in my car. I'll definitely be back! And you should too!
