In early March I suffered a significant sinus infection that migrated to my ears, and, unfortunately, developed a slight tinnitus in my right ear due to the damage of swelling. My primary caregivers and ENT specialists were frankly baffled as nothing intrinsically was wrong, and a later MRI bore that out: whatever did the damage left no tangible trace other than the ringing, and a slight misalignment/wearing of my TMJ. When you fall between the cracks of primary care and specialized medicine's ability to readily heal you, you find yourself bereft of options and of hope. It sucks the life out of you. Nothing that once gave you joy does so any longer. It's a vicious spiral of despair. Especially when no one understands your pain or difficulty. After months and thousands of dollars of 2nd opinions and alternative medicine options, I called UA Family Chiro and they fit me into their schedule. Dr. Schram and his team treated my issue with seriousness and respect, and Dr. Schram's holistic and complete approach to treating not just the issue at hand but the individual experiencing it is a hallmark of how they treat their patients. It was a long process to get to where I am now. I may never fully be back to where I was due to the esoteric nature of how I was injured. When I arrived, Courtney greeted me, went over the policies and procedures and was extremely friendly. My masseuse was Deb, and she was PHENOMENAL! As a migraine sufferer, I can take really deep tissue pressure. Most people don't believe me and start off too soft. Deb dug right in and found knots in places I didn't know knots could exist. Deb was friendly, professional, and most importantly, a damn good masseuse. 90 minutes later, every knot in my body had been worked, I went home and went straight to bed and slept soundly for 10 hours, waking with no headache. At check out, they let me know about their membership plan, but in no way did they pressure me to sign up. However, I did not have to think twice before signing up. I did not catch the name of the woman who checked me out, but she was also very kind, professional, and informative. All around A+ facility and service.
