these people are terrible and have no sense of ethical business! my bf brought in his jeep bc it…read morewasn't driving normal. it sat there for 2 hours and then they insisted on keeping it another day. little did we know that is how they loop you in to rip you off bc at this point they hold your car hostage unless you pay a $150 diagnostic fee he never ever wouldv'e consented to! swtich and bait. he needed a new alternator and they priced him A $900 for an alternator!?! turns out that they were saying that had to remove and refill the AC etc.. and when he said no way can i pay that @$900 we dont have that kind of money they immediately didn't need to do the AC and dropped the price to @$700! at this point trust is breeched because they originally just said we had to remove the AC to install it and the do not credit the $150 diagnostic (that he never agreed to ) towards the new $700 bill that he was quoted (which he would never pay!!! ) they held his car hostage and refused to release it unless he paid the money that they extorted from him and he never signed. they kept saying that they made a 'verbal agreement' but when we asked for paperwork that he signed saying he consented to the diagnostic they had nothing and kept saying verbal agreement! highway robbery. then we called TNT automotive they came right to him, quickly installed the alternator and gave him an awesome honest fair deal , and the whole job including parts was @$320!!! done in an hour. the kicker being that TNT told us that they would've credited us their diagnostic towards the bill! worst customer service at rogue automotive ever and when he went in to confront him about never signing anything for the $150 diagnostic they refused to take any accountability and threatened to call the cops. gaslighting after exploiting people for money. rogue automotive are crooks.

They immediately went into action to see what happened. Although they couldn't fix my car they did everything possible to make our day better. They called the dealership and found out there were some recalls and gave us info on how and where to tow. They welcomed us into their lobby and offered us free drinks for us and our dogs while we waited which by the way was the fanciest auto shop I've ever been in. Since we are 11 hours away from home we had to get a hotel room around the corner. I had asked if they had a cart or something to help us transport all our belongings so we didn't have to go back and forth carrying our stuff from our car to the hotel. A gentleman by the name of Michael offered to help transport our stuff in his car and told us about the town. The customer service was exceptional and if I lived here they would be my number one go to place for all my car needs. Highly recommended this place and thank you Josh and Michael!

I always check with Ashland Automotive 1st, but for the last few years they are consistently The Most Expensive; even more expensive than the Dealership for the same services. I didn't think that was even possible. It's worth making a call or two for anything other than an oil change, which is also cheaper at the dealership but not as convenient.

When I mentioned this, he dismissed me outright, saying it was foolish and likely a waste of money, and that there was no way I could know what was wrong. The tone was unprofessional and came across as unnecessarily condescending. Clutch World had been recommended to me by a friend, specifically Eric by name, which made the experience even more disappointing. Instead, I took my car to H & R Automotive, where James was respectful and completed the work exactly as requested using the parts I provided. As it turns out, my original diagnosis was correct. Overall, the interaction with Eric left a poor impression and fell well below the level of customer service I expect.

I've been taking both my cars to Ken Scales for the past 12 years, but since Ken retired and his…read moreson Jeff stepped back from the business things have gone downhill, which is usually what happens when there's no owner presence on-site. When I took my Subaru in for an oil change, the tech didn't tighten the oil cap which popped off and blew oil all over my engine. Then, two weeks ago my Corvette wouldn't start, made a loud noise when I pushed the start button. AAA was not able to start it. Had to call a flat bed. Ken Scales did nothing for 2 days. On the third day they called and said the battery was dead. I told them I suspected something else was wrong because a dead battery makes no sound at all when you push the start button. I asked them to check everything having to do with starting the car that might have caused that noise. When they called to say they replaced the battery, I asked if they found what was causing the noise when pushing the start button. They said it was just a dead battery that's all, couldn't find anything else. This week, I drove the Corvette to Brookings, turned the engine off, but when I tried to start it again it made the same noise as before the new battery was installed. Worse yet, AAA said there were no AAA approved automotive service places within 30 miles, and they will only tow for 3 miles. I was terrified - 2 1/2 hours from home and no way to get there. After hitting the gas pedal a couple of times, I managed to get the car started, decided to try to make it home to Jacksonville. Took the car to Bob Thomas Automotive (BBB approved). They took the car right in, called me to say they hadn't found the problem yet, but assured me they would keep looking. Next morning their best technician called to say it took him 2 1/2 hours, but he finally found the problem. The grey wire to the fuel pump was loose. I will NEVER take my cars to Ken Scales again.
