Started with real hope -- I came to ATA College excited for a better future. The admissions team and advisors, especially Andrea and Emma were genuinely warm and helpful from start to finish. That early support made me believe this could be the right path. Unfortunately, I had to deal with James Kyle, Professor Mike, and Zack who weren't only dishonest, but fostered an unprofessional environment and retaliated with hostility. Their actions created so much tension in the classroom, that the negative environment made the program impossible for anyone to effectively participate or feel secure. This is not the "family that wants you to win" I thought it was. Just another greedy college that will lie, cheat and steal from your education. If you're considering ATA, talk to current and recent students first and ask specifically about the classroom dynamic. I went to this school for hvac and I could not recommend this school enough, the teachers are all hard working, genuine people, that are fun to be around. My main teacher Michael was an amazing teacher, during his classes he would always be straight up with everyone and would talk about his experiences from his hvac business, and gave rly good advice. And as well as being a great teacher he even helped me install my outside unit at home over the phone while he was busy with work. I definitely could not have gotten my ac working without him. As well as the other teachers who would rly set an example and made me want to be better, like Zach, I would see his car in the parking lot at 8 in the morning and he would be their until 9pm everyday so that his students had all the help and materials they could possibly need. Also Justin, doing an amazing job preparing me to take my epa test, he really helped me have everything locked in and without him I def would not have passed my exam, and rly giving me solid genuine advice before I graduate to take into my first jobs. All the teachers are very nice and genuine people that excel at their jobs and I could not recommend ATA College enough. read more

I graduated from this school in 2023.. the teachers were great love Mr Kyle and Ms Kay! However the school will withhold your certificate from you if you have not paid off your debt to them. So I am now a year out of school and working as a MA having to use my transcripts because the school refuses to give me my certificate. I have contacted the board of education about this and hoping they can give me some insight on how to go about getting my certificate seeming I took out over 10k in loans for the program. Spare yourself the trouble of this school, and go to another MA program who will not withhold your certificate from you. read more

I feel like i wasted my time attending this school because once you finish the porgram the school just gives up on you and heads out to lie to more people. For real, not great. My teacher called other staff members derogatory slurs in front of the whole class and then literally looked at all of us and said, "I F'n hate it here." I enjoyed going here! The teachers and all of the staff are extremely nice and helpful! Mr. Kyle and Doc really prepare you for the real world. I can't tell you how on point they were with everything they've told me. From coworkers, bosses, & patients, to everyday life! All the advice you receive from here, YOU WILL USE IT! During my time at ATA I had a lot going on personally and they did everything they could to help me to make sure I could finish my course on time. I can't express how thankful I am. Heather is also AMAZING. She has helped me through a lot of rough patches with school and work. She talks me through the situations and helps me understand from a different perspective. she's great at keeping in contact even after I graduated. I came to this facility to have an FCC GROL exam proctored. These guys are able to do this on a days notice. They were helpful and professional and encouraging. This school in a member of Electronics Technician Association (ETA) and also proctor for the Certified Electronic Technician (CET) exams. I am returning soon to have more testing done. I only gave them 4 stars, as I was only there for 3 hours, but it seems like a 5 star place to me. read more

Your attempt to discredit my review is childish. Let me clarify, I liked nick as a teacher but during my time here I had six teachers because of your high turnover. I was gone for a long time because I had a baby. I never refused clinicals or extra credit and never received below a 98% on an exam. My externship was in the most unprofessional clinic I've ever been in with a psychotic practitioner who verbally abused the staff. I went to every single job interview in fact to no less than two a week for over a year before I decided "not to help myself." All of this you knew nothing about because all your job placement coordinator dos was email me Craigslist adds which I could have and dos find for myself. Then you begged me to come In and sign a piece of paper saying I wasn't looking for work so it would not throw off you success rating which I did. You're welcome, and nice try. read more

Mr. Kyle is very nice and treats students fairly and straightforwardness. Today I was thirsty, and I asked him if there any water in school because the battle was empty, he took my cup and told me stay here I will get it for you. I was studying, and he brought me a cup of water. He is very kind-hearted and when ever we need help, he always there. Wanted to upgrade my IT skills, I have a BBA-CIS (1996) N a MS-IS(1998) stopped because a former co-worker. This was the 1st software development class (sept 2017 - march 2018) I wanted to learn to code Java/C/C++, etc. I am very happy I did; after almost 20 years after graduated from college it was daunting for me to start anew; & I finished the nine month program w/ a 3.42 gpa. Steve was great, he answered all my questions & they helped me with my GIBill. As always you get what you put in if you put effort in learning you will; if not then you will not. This is by far the worst form of "education" ever. They offer an Associate's degree in IT and the curriculum consists of MS-DOS and how to change the background in Windows. What a joke. The instructors always step out of the room during a test, obviously to encourage cheating. The school wants student to do well because if the student doesn't graduate, the school doesn't receive funds from financial aid (therefore the school doesn't get paid). And about financial aid, the operations director will make sure you receive some sort of financial aid, she really wants to make sure to enroll you (and it's not because she has any genuine interest in your education). If you are military, this is a wonderful place go to school to make sure you still receive benefits. The classes consist of military students and people taking advantage of government funding. You wouldn't believe some of the classmates I've had. Two students had an altercation and one pulled out a knife. Immediately after the students' fight, both student were sent home and the operations director passed out the rules and regulations form (the same one we signed when we enrolled) and had us all sign it again to ensure we understood the schools policy (which obviously prohibited any form of weapon). That same student was right back in class a few days later. This place is not a school at all and they do not provide an education. They are a business with the interest of making money and absolutely no interest in education. This business exposes the flaws in our education system and government funding for education. I could go on for much longer but I'll spare you. The bottom line, if you want a degree on paper but are not looking for an education, this is the place. If the government requires you to go to college or else they will pull away benefits, this is the place for you. If you want a true, genuine education, this is not the place for you. read more

I been attending class here for a week and love it! One thing that is awesome about this school is classes are small. I'm in the Medical Assistant program an love it! I was very nervous at first about going back to school. I have a great job with superior pay, but I wanted to go learn a new trade. When I first arrived at the school I was greeted immediately and had my appointment on time. The enrollment process was very smooth! It was easier to enroll here than the local community college. I love that parking is plenty and the grounds are well kept. The instructor is very informative and knows what he is teaching, which is hit or miss in many trade schools. Regarding the 8/07/12 Review. I was contacted by tAdvanced Training Director Valarie in November 2012 ,she asked me to change my rating. I'm not able to do this because everything I said was true. She said there was a new Medical Instructer now that he is very good. I stand by my rating. I would not recommend this school to anyone. If you're going to pay for the education, go to another school. UEI is a great school. There is not a market for MA's anymore. They are hiring nurses not MA's. If you're lucky to get a job in a DR office good for you. You need to know much more than they teach you at this school. Technology is the key. Computers. Everything is on a computer. However, the school does not and will not hold your hand or carry you to and from each and every job lead or job interview. You need to apply yourself and apply yourself again. When you made a call to inquire more information about the school and what it may offer, that required only you. Lastly, when you visited the campus and introduced yourself to most of the staff that day of your appointed visit, that required only you. If you can apply that type of energy to get there and make it there, one will be successful at Advanced Training Associates. Therefore, we are all 18 years of age or older. Some individuals have other jobs to provide for a family or their new born baby. No matter what, Advanced Training Associates can only show you "the door" and where to find "that door" towards your future. Towards the Military Students, if you are a Marine, you only get one tuition assistant towards a school that only gives certification. So use it wisely! Make sure you understand by getting an apprentice in electronics that is good for short time. The ETA expect the student to move up to a Journeyman certificate within one or two years. So if you're not active in your electronics and obtaining more education then the ETA apprentice in electronics becomes quite useless. Getting a certificate in Fiber Optics probably will not help you get a job. Most fiber optics has already been in place and the industry does not use this old fashion method of cleave, and polish. So do your research. Most everything taught here can be found on the internet and even on YouTube. When using tuition assistance it cost the taxpayer's (everyone) money to get these certifications. So expect the world when considering paying thousands of dollars for a one to five week 4 hour classes. I would advise to go to a junior college that are taught by engineers.
