One service provided us with an estimate, but suggested an upgraded system that would more than triple the cost, and stated they could not warranty their work without it. We called Hogge's Septic Tank Service. Jess Hogge responded promptly to our call, providing us a reasonable estimate, and was consistently in contact with us during the repair process. This was a difficult repair on a system that was 40 years old, with multiple previous jerry-built pump replacements. Every few hours during the repair process Jess would hail me to come over to look at what previous teams had done to our system. He ultimately rebuilt the piping entering and exiting the new pump he installed. It was a beautiful job (for a septic system). Fair, honest, and dependable. Highly recommended!

SO! sometimes in February I called CB'S Turlington to pump my septic because it hadn't been done in…read morea while and it started bubbling and backing up into the house. They came out and charged me $400 but only pumped it from one opening. They never opened the rear tank, didn't check the outlet filter, and didn't really inspect anything else. When my grandpa (who used to do this shit for a living btw) asked about it, the guy Chris basically told us we didn't know what we were talking about and said they can just backflush it from the front and don't need to check anything else. He even told me to go back inside that he didn't need somebody standing over him and said if I didn't, they'd reverse the pump and push everything back into my pipes and leave. About two weeks later, I'm having the same exact problem again water level was already almost overflowing. When I called them back, they said it was my drain field and not their problem, and that they weren't coming back to even inspect it unless I paid another service fee. They said the original job was done fine and non-refundable. So I called Miller's Septic Service for a second opinion The guy came out and was super respectful, shook my hand a few times, and let me watch everything while he explained what he was doing. He pumped it and immediately found a ton of sludge still sitting in the rear tank that turlington never touched. He said there was no way it was properly cleaned the first time. He told me to check the distribution box just in case, but I didn't even need to mess with it. Turlington told me not to make this post and told me not to call Miller's that they were the worst company in the business that he would recommend anybody else but since It's been almost 2 months since Miller's came out and I haven't had any problems, I know I'm in the clear to make this post. I don't want to make this post but the guys at Turlington were completely unprofessional and tried to take advantage of me I have cerebral palsy and my 80 year old Vietnam war veteran grandfather was cussed and disrespected I don't want this to happen to anyone else so I just wanted to put it out there I did charge back through the credit card company and get my money back though after gaining proof If you're reading this review, I suggest you hang up the phone and call Miller's instead!

Stephen was kind and friendly, making sure I understood everything they were finding and what they planned do it, all while making sure I didn't feel talked down to. They came by to let us know what the issue was, then, after we had the flooring ripped up after a leak detection company marked off where it was, they came with the jackhammer and tore up our cement. Unfortunately, the leak wasn't where detection had marked it. I'm grateful Stephen was find enough to come in on what was supposed to be his day off the next day to continue after we took up the rest of the wood overnight. They did a great job at locating the leak, fixing it, explaining what might have happened to cause it, filling the hole back up and covering it with cement.
