2nd time we have used John's service and we appreciate him very much. Goes right to work on whatever the issues are and gets us back in the spa! Today it was a fuse on the jet motor and a small leak in a gasket. Spa on clean mode right now and we are very pleased! Im a Broker in the area and I've recommended John before and will again! read more

I had a cracked filter and was given a referral from our realtor. I called him on a Sunday at 5pm and he answered my call. I was quoted a fair price and John showed up with in 5 days with a new one and installed it. While he was there he set the timer on the pump to turn on automatically and answered some questions about the pool equipment that I had. He was informative, personable and efficient. Thanks John! I will call again if I need more help with the pool. read more

FRAUD AND SCAMMER ALERT!! He (John) tried to add extra days on the maintenance log to get more money, acting as if he came by to maintenance my spa, but I have cameras all around my home. He signed the maintenance log 3 different dates EXTRA on the log in one setting which he never came on those dates to service. Then he tried to charge me $85 for a whole month he never serviced. You're a LIAR! Bad business! Pictures below are screen shots of video where he maintenance the spa once in Dec (17th) and wrote extra days twice in Nov and Dec 3rd which he has not been to my house since Oct. Guess you didn't think I had camera systems that records every time someone steps foot on my property! and Alerts me! Smile your being recorded read more

very professional. knows what he is doing. Did excellent job getting my spa up and running.

John was a huge help ordering me a custom new cover for my swim spa at a great price! He came out & measured my spa and brought color samples to choose from. My new spa cover arrived sooner than expected. He also helped me move a built in bar table over so the cover had more room to close correctly. This was not an easy task, but he got it done & even leveled it. I also appreciated his help in getting my water chemistry corrected and his suggestions to keep my spa running without issues. Highly recommend! read more

I would highly recommend John with advanced pool and spas. He really knows his stuff and is very knowledgeable about pools and spas. I am going to have him come twice a month and service my spa. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. He may be good at what he does, or maybe not, but he SURE isn't a stand up guy! Our jacuzzi wasn't working. We paid him $678 to diagnose and repair the problem. He said our circuit board burned up - and said it could be wear and tear or from overflowing the jacuzzi. In passing, he said we may want to get the electric panel looked at, but he certainly never said that was the cause of our issue, nor did our existing electrical setup stop him from proceeding. Less than 48 hours after it was fixed, it burned up again. After weeks of stringing us along and saying he's "working on it", he now refuses to participate in a solution. He now blames us for not fixing the electrical (which was on calendar to be looked at days later) and lies by saying we told him we did fix it. I can't stand a liar. Do the right thing John! read more

I was in the process of selling my home with the above ground jacuzzi staying. The jacuzzi all of the sudden drained right as we were going on market. I needed a repair quickly and efficiently. John responded and did a troubleshoot to discover the pump needed repair. He took it out of the jacuzzi and back to his shob and completed all repairs necessary to get it back to running efficiently. I appreciated his quick response and thoroughness. read more

I would highly recommend this company. Very easy to work with. They did a great job. My hot tub is fixed and running great.

I have been using Advanced Pool & Spa service for my swim spa for about 2 years now & have always received fast & courteous service. During COVID it was so difficult to get parts & supplies but John managed to take care of my issue as soon as possible. I would certainly recommend this company for pool or spa service read more

John made a first time visit to our home today to assess our pool which had no pressure at the pump and no water movement. About 15 minutes in, he discovered the problem; a clogged and broken Whisper Flo Pool Pump Basket. I didn't even know there was such a thing. John cleaned out all the debris, fired up the pool and it works like new. For those of us who are not pool scientists, this was a valuable service and relieved a fair amount of anxiety. We discussed several upcoming pool project ideas and we will definitely be having John back here. I should point out, too, in these COVID-19 troublesome times, John showed up wearing a mask and gloves. Thanks, John. read more

My pump on my 2004 spa went out during the middle of Covid. John was great and very knowledgeable about spas. It took a while for the part to come in, but he came out when he said he would the first time and was great about following up for me on the back order of the part. He also blew out the spa lines which was nice. The spa works great again, now. Thanks John. read more

During Covid outbreak we found that we were unable to read our display plate any longer(lights on panel were going out) and unable to control temp. Called John and he asked for pictures and was able to suggest what we needed to order. I went on line ordered the product and John came out and replaced the "topside". We were able to get in the spa that night. Hallelujah . John has years of experience is very knowledgeable about spas and we would highly recommend him for your spa needs. He is very busy during the stay at home restrictions so be patient. Good job John, Thank you read more

I wish I would have checked yelp reviews prior to letting John get involved with my Spa. John came to my house 5 weeks ago, took my spa pump to repair at his shop (house) and i have not heard from him since. He told me my pump would be fixed and installed in 1 week from the day he took it. I have called, left voice mails, text and never have I got any response back. I'm very disappointed. Just like one the other reviews, my wife and I have made sacrifices to be available at the house (taking time off work) for the days he said he would show up and he never did and never notified us. John, if you read this, please bring me my spa parts back. I will take business elsewhere. Again, he seems like a great guy, but just lacks communication with his customers. Now I'm missing parts from my spa and who knows if I'll ever get them back. read more

Johns a nice guy, very knowledgeable knows what he's talking about. We just moved into our home and it had an above ground hot tub, I called up john and he was there within the week while everyone else was scheduled out two weeks, which was very nice and convenient. I initially asked that he clean it and make sure it ran, but he cleaned it, looks amazing by the way, did a killer job on that, I didn't think it could look that good, then filled it with chemicals and walked us through making sure it ran save us a little bit of money which was nice. John keep up the good work. read more

John was extremely helpful with my above ground spa pump repair. I pulled it out & he picked it up. Got it back to me a few weeks later. He went on vacation & I didn't need it fast in this heat anyway. I broke the collar putting it back in so I called him up again to help with that & he came out the next day to fix it. Great guy and will use him again if needed. read more

He is the "go to" guy for all pool and spa issues. Extremely knowledgeable!! We will always use him. Great guy too!

John is probably a nice guy and his voice mail greets with a "God Bless!" but his business practice is inconsistent. I purchased a 4 person spa on 4/17/17 from a private party and 1 of the spa motors was not working so John promptly arrived to remove the motor to fix at his shop. 3 weeks went bye with no communication so I contacted John on a Monday and he told me he would install the motor on Friday so I took the day off to be at my house. NO SHOW AND NO CALL. I texted him my frustration and he said he would keep me updated...4 weeks later and several attempts to call him I have not heard from him. My sister visited from Colorado for 2 weeks and we drank our coffee every morning and looked at the non-operational spa. THANKS JOHN BROOKS FOR KEEPING MY SMALL SPA MOTOR FOR 8 WEEKS AND COUNTING. FYI John Brooks we all have busy schedules in business so what is unique about this job? UPDATE 6/24/2017 John did return the motor after we spoke on 6/21/2017 and he stated the motor was frozen, so I requested for him to not repair and return to me. I upgraded him from 1 to 2 stars for the fact he did return my pump. read more

We called on Tuesday afternoon and John came out that same evening. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He had our swim spa back up and functional in 10 minutes. We had been working with another provider for two weeks who had cancelled appointments on us 3 times! And that was someone who had a very high rating on all the sites. It was such a relief when a) John actually showed up, b) he got straight to work & had us up and running quickly, and c) he did not charge us an arm and a leg. Seriously, his prices are very reasonable for someone with so much time in the business. And as a final gesture of kindness and goodwill, he left us with several pointers to get the most out of swim spa. Thank you, John! You have customers for life in us! read more

John was used by us recently twice. Once to maintain and service our spa, changing the fuses. A the next time to help us with an issue with the pool not filtering and the whole topside panel not working. I was dreading replacing all the pumps... but he pinpointed it immediately, told me what to look for online. John is an honest and fair service man. I would recommend read more

Advanced Pool & Spa provides outstanding service. I can't even tell you how thrilled I am. One of my pool heater pipes developed a leak and sprayed water all over the side of my house. It turned out that there was a problem with a valve in the heater which over pressured the system with very hot water. Unfortunately the heater had been discontinued by the manufacturer. Advanced Pool & Spa helped me buy a new heater at a discount. They also rebuilt my pump motor that had worn bearings. They installed the new heater and pump and connected everything up. There was a problem with my Aqua Logic control system that Advanced Pool & Spa was unfamiliar with so they proactively got the manufacturer's rep to come out and work with them to solve the problem. Advanced Pool @ Spa came out four times to make sure the system was working properly. Now the whole thing works great and I am extremely happy with the job they did and I felt the cost was very fair. Thank you Advanced Pool & Spa! read more

John was polite and knowledgeable. He was good about diagnosing the problem with my spa after my husband had exhausted all of his research. Within an hour, John had the circulation pump replaced. read more

I recently had an issue with the valves on my pool that is approx. 20 years old. I got a referral from a friend for John's services, and he came out on time and replaced the three valve for a very reasonable price. Working with John has been extremely difficult. He's promised to have pump replaced for my spa on three different occasions over a span of 6 weeks. Each time he missed time line, I had to reach out to him and ask what status was. I've been patient with him but he clearly doesn't care about time lines, proactive communication or customer service. I have every text from him with dates and time lines outlining when he was going to get things done and none of that happened. I would not use or recommend this company. read more
