Before I could even fill out intake paperwork or see a therapist, the front desk demanded that I pay for the entire service in full, upfront. This is highly unusual and completely counter to how legitimate, licensed therapeutic massage clinics operate. Professional day spas charge you after the service is rendered so that the transaction reflects the actual care received, and so clients have recourse if the treatment is cut short or handled unprofessionally. Forcing customers to pay in advance feels like a tactic to trap your money before you even know what kind of service you are getting.Between the aggressive upfront payment demand and the overall atmosphere, the whole interaction felt deeply unprofessional and raised serious red flags about how this business is run. In the Flower Mound location, the waiting area is filled with light but as soon as the door to the hallway opens and your name is called, you walk into a dark hallway. When I would have to quickly explain I'm visually impaired -they did not really assist me. One therapist had lowered her bed all the way to the floor and as I walked in there was no bed and I was completely lost. She couldn't figure how to turn the lights up so I could get my bearings. The therapy rooms smelled great and the massage table was clean and comfortable. She expertly spent time on the areas that were problematic and checked in with me frequently to make sure the pressure was good. Happy to say that I'm sleeping on my bed again with no pain. Today I finally bit the bullet and gave Jin's massage a call. Luckily they had an opening to fit me in today. When I got there, Jen had a quick paper for me to fill out regarding massage and overall medical history/issues. She took me right back and the hour flew by before I knew it. I immediately felt a difference in my back and shoulders from the tense knot they came in as to the much improved unknotted forms.
