Justin came to my home two weeks ago to look at a sliding door that wouldn't lock. I had been told by a contractor that a very expensive -- $300+ -- job would be necessary, but Justin showed me a way to lock the door that was very easy and I only had to pay the $40 house call fee. Yesterday, the "fix" that Justin showed me stopped working, so I called Advanced this morning. Justin came out in the afternoon and did a much more permanent fix -- adjusting the locking mechanism. When we asked what the work would set us back, he said it was free and that he was sorry the first fix didn't last longer. We needed another key for our Hyundai 2015 Santa Fe and we were told at the Hyundai dealership that we had to get the full key fob and that I would be over $300. Had an ok experience. They did the job, and I got what I needed, but I didn't really feel like this was the best customer service I've seen. Pros; They offer 24hr service. Which is nice because when things go wrong they go wrong late at night or on Sunday. They state that if you find a cheaper price in Boise, they will match it. (I couldn't find a cheaper price) They make car keys to manufacture standards. So they will fit as they are supposed to. Cons; Even though they are the "cheapest in town", they are still expensive. Will charge extra for Sunday, and evenings. Quasi unprofessional. They are informed on their product. They know what they are doing. But, they lack a sense of professionalism. Dirty office space, with empty coffee cups all over. very casual attire (very VERY causal). When working with these people, their cell phones seem to hold more of their attention then the customers right in front of them. The guy working the front desk had his cell go off every 30 seconds or so. If it was a text, he would stop what he was doing and respond to it. If it was a call, he would take the call and ignore the people in the lobby. If he got a text while already on a call, he would put them on speaker and reply to the text. Guy was ultra fixated with his phone. I give 3 stars because I got what I needed. But I recommend that they clean up their operation a little bit. They have a good service, but they need to provide a more professional service. If they did that I am sure I would rate them higher. read more

Kirk saved my life!!! Was visiting from CA over the 4th of July weekend and was floating down the river on inner tubes with my family when my son fell into the water and lost the remote to my car. I called the nearest Lexus dealership who told me that they wouldn't be able to help me for three more days because they said The only way to get a new keyless entry remote was to order it from Lexus. Advanced Scam and Key! Yep, hoodwinked with an old bait and switch technique. Was told the charge for checking a key code was $65.00. This is for 5 min worth of work. If the fob could not be reprogrammed, I would still be out $65.00. However, if I bought a new fob and had it programmed, the "credit" would be applied to my bill ($160.00). The service was provided on the new fob but the credit was not applied! Still had to pay $160.00. The store manager who fully who quoted the initial price reversed himself and stated "he did not quote the price". The service personnel quickly agreed with their manager. It was a bait and switch by committee at this point. I tired to explain, to the manager, that in a ten minute timeline the cost had significantly increased from the original quoted price. He verbally attacked be about my inquiry. Again I attempted explain, in a rational way, the practice he and his team were employing was illegal. This is when he nasty and refused to give my old key back to me. 3 v. 1, I begrudgingly paid the bill and left. read more
