Wow. This business was fantastic! Was visiting family out of town and I had to go to the store to buy my kiddo some diapers... well, since we were out of town the little one wanted to come with me. Buckled him in. Was taking hubby's truck and when I got in realized I left my wallet in the house so I ran back into the house, came back out and the doors were LOCKED... No extra key and was freaking out. My two year old didn't understand how to push the buttons to unlock it. Ran in and told the hubby. He called three places and no answer. Advanced Lock and Key answered right away. My hubby told him our situation and the guy was ON IT. We were also about 45 minutes out of Boise (nearest locksmith). The guy on the phone said he actually had a guy doing a job on-site in the town we were in. He called him, called us back IMMEDIATELY and told us the guy was on his way and was 8 miles out. Sure enough, not ten minutes later the van showed up with its flashers on! Unlocked the door in seconds and saved us from a TERRIBLE holiday morning. We got locked out of our new house the second day we owned it--it was a Sunday morning just after church and there were 7 of us (including visiting family) hanging around in the heat trying to figure out how to break in, whether to break a window and pay for that, or whether to call a (presumably expensive, perhaps slow) locksmith. We chose to call a locksmith and I'm glad we did. Advanced picked up the phone immediately, said to text the address, and was there within 8 minutes. While this is likely not a typical response time, and was likely slightly quicker due to the fact I caught him on his way to another job for which we were on the route, it was a nice surprise! The locksmith used a bump key on the front door and had us inside within two minutes of his arrival, so basically we were only locked out for 10 minutes. And it was not expensive--in Miami, it would have easily topped three figures but Advanced charged fairly. I would use Advanced again even in a non-emergency situation to, e.g., change locks. read more

I bought a new fob for my truck, not because the others didnt work, but because they are filthy and beat up so I wanted a clean one. After an attempt to program it myself with a degree from youtube University, I was left with 3 newly unprogrammed fobs and a truck dead in the water! Enter Jack! Jack made me feel like a dumb dumb in the best possible way. In about 10 seconds, he stopped the program sequence of the truck which turned my 2 original fobs back on. After explaining my silly fobbing situation, without hesitation, suggested simply pulling the fully functioning brain out of an old fob and popping it into my new fob, hence saving me a programming fee!! Like I mentioned....I felt like a dumb dumb. He was in, out, and saved me money when he could have just as easily took the full payout. Thank you good sir. Highly recommend! read more

If you read the rest of your comments you will see we did what we said we would ... we were there in 10 to 15 minutes, my tech got up out of bed at 1am in the morning and may not have been very talkative due to being tired so I apologize for him not saying hi when he got there. My son locked my only key to the Mercedes in the trunk so I called my insurance company who sent out Busy Bee to my house. That company not only couldn't figure out how to open the trunk, they told me I would have to have a new key made, and then they proceeded to Bill Me anyway even though they accomplished NOTHING!! I called Kirk from ADVANCED LOCK & KEY who had re-keyed our home last year to see if he thought the job was impossible as well. He assured me he could do it and even though it was after 5pm, , he was there in less than 20 minutes and had the trunk open in less than 5 minutes. Gotta give a shout out to Advanced Lock & Key! Accidentally locked my dog in the car after I put her back in the car from the vet. My phone and purse were all in the car too! After calling 3 locksmith businesses from my Vets office, and telling them I had a dog locked in my car, they were too busy to help. The 4th call went to Advanced which said they could send someone right out, but it would be 20 minutes. Waiting patiently, within 5 minutes someone got there! Wow! Advanced was actually talking to another locksmith who was close by, and asked them if they wanted to help me! Ok I don't normally write reviews, I only do if I feel like a business is no less than outstanding. And I can say advanced lock and key is by far outstanding. I locked my keys in my car at a grocery store so I called a lock company and they told me it would be about 20 minutes and $55. So I decided to try 1 more company and called Advanced who told me they would be there in less than 15 minutes and the charge was $44. They were so quick to get there and so fast getting my car open. Best locksmith in Idaho! Recently lost my key while snowboarding up at Tamarack and unfortunately it was a "smart key fob". Called the dealership and they said I would have to get it towed into town to get a new key made. Luckily the dealership referred me to Kirk at advanced lock and key and he had all of the top of the line technology to be able to make me a new key with his mobile van (only company in the valley that was mobile). He made the 2 hour ride to Tamarack and even picked my up on the way. Definitely using these guys in the future... hopefully not in another emergency situation. read more

My right front car door lock broke so I called a lock smith from the internet. One came out and could not fix my lock, he didn't know what he was doing but fortunatly for me he call Advanced Lock & Key and hooked me up with Kirk. Kirk not only got my lock fixed but he took the time to fix what the other so called lock smith did to damage my door. He also honored the bid that the other guy quoted me. Life savers! I was in a hell of a pinch very late on a week day and couldnt get any locksmiths to help me in the time window I had. I called Advanced L&K on the phone. I locked myself out of my car for the first time ever today. I tried to open it myself for a while and decided to go the last resort, which was a locksmith. Justin got to my house very quickly despite the heavy snow and was very friendly! He got my car open in no time and without any damage. Very upfront and honest. I appreciated that when I called they didn't shine me on. They told me straight out that the key fob I bought on the internet was a waste of money and that they had never had one that programmed correctly so they wouldn't even mess with it. Been using advanced for 4 years now. They are pretty dang fast and prompt getting to you on time. They make the keys fast, they switched out my ignition switch fast and although ny chipped key is pricey...its not too bad getting 1 @130 each additional for 30. 160 for 2 isnt bad!
