Last week our system stopped working, I emailed and text Secure One, Ariel responded to me and arranged to come out on 7/25, when Ariel and his helpers arrived, they informed me that the DVR was 'blown' their words, and I needed a new one, they had one on their truck and it would cost $650 which included installation, hooking up 8 wires and the internet relay box. The system is not hardwired into our router but picks up the internet wirelessly through the relay port and an IP address. Ariel argued this point and wanted to mess with our router which I refused as the system, which as I explained to him several times is not hardwired. The app that he said I now had to use IDMSS was awful, and then on top of all of this he left without the system working. Our IT guy came out and input the IP address and it worked.... While our IT guy was at our home I had him install a new internet relay booster, basically because we could ! I then researched the DVR that Secure Tech installed and found it was nowhere near the price I had been charged and as I said the app is horrible, I emailed Secure Tech and told them that I was dissatisfied and I thought they had gouged us on the price and they needed to come and remove their DVR and refund my money. They did this on Monday 7/29. I ordered a new Night Owl DVR from Amazon and today my IT guy came out yet again,to install the newDVR, he decided to see if the old unit was actually 'blown', what a surprise, it worked perfectly, the original internet relay box had a port that had malfunctioned, but Secure Tech did not test the box, they just decided that the DVR was not working and we needed to pay exorbitantly for a new one. I would not recommend this company ever, in my opinion I think Ariel and his crew need training on how to research what the problem is on a system before making statements, causing needless hassle and over pricing their components and their capabilities.

Vivint is using a fraudulent method to charge its customers without their approval. The company made three separate charges to my account in one day without my permission. I reached back out to the company to resolve this issue by asking for a refund, and I was told the transaction is legal on their system and they wouldn't refund me, even though I was not aware of the charge, and I do not have auto pay setup. I asked to cancel my service when they wouldn't resolve my complain, they ran me around a loop of five different customer service agents and refused to cancel my service. What law permits a business operation like this? My next move will be a law suit against Vivint, as no business should be allowed to deep their hands in a customer's account, without the customers permission.

I reached out to them and spoke directly to the Owner Andrew; we made an appointment at my convenience a few weeks in advance when I was scheduled to be in town. Andrew stopped by a few days before I arrived to assess the property and already had a plan in place for the best camera locations. I was amazed with what he was going to do and all the latest cameras and all other needed equipment. We agreed on a price. He scheduled me in when I was in town and got all the work done. Andrew gave me an and my wife a tutorial on how everything works. Got us up and running in no time at all. His company will also be monitoring our home.
