Great experience. Mike was easy to schedule with and showed up on time. He even suggested a better, cheaper way to replace our lights and gave us a discount when he finished our project faster than expected. Five stars all around! read more

We have used Michael for years. He always goes above and beyond. He's honest and trustworthy.

I reached out to mike at 7pm on a thursday, and he was able to be at my house by 830am the next morning to help me fix a GFI outlet that shut my kitchen down. Very knowledgeable, over 30 years of experience, affordable, and good price! I would highly recommend him and will be using him for any future electrical work I have. Also very kind man, not someone who is going to rip you off or take advantage of you. Hard to find these days. read more

I reached out to Mike on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend after a storm left me with several GFI outlets and a breaker that wouldn't reset. I expected to just leave a message, but to my surprise, he answered right away and walked me through some troubleshooting steps. His responsiveness immediately impressed me. When I wasn't able to fix the issue, Mike followed up with me on Sunday to see if I'd had any success. After I told him I was still having trouble, he offered to come out on Labor Day Monday. That level of commitment--especially on a holiday--really stood out. He quickly identified the problem, replaced the faulty GFIs and breaker, and had everything working again in no time, all at a fair and reasonable price. Mike is a genuine, honest, and highly skilled electrician. I strongly recommend him and MD Electric for any electrical needs, big or small, and he will be my first call for any future work. read more

Mike from MD electric was HONEST, punctual & did a great job. I thought I had a bad fuse & when I tried to replace the fuse, I blew out the A/C. Wires in wall were disconnected. There's nothing wrong with fuse. He could've charged me anything but he didn't. He charged me a fair price. read more

I called Mike on a Saturday. He answered the phone on the 1st ring with "MD Electric, this is Mike". Thank you. I can't tell you the number of times I've called a vendor and had to play 20-questions when they answer the phone with a disinterested "hello". I had a problem with some outlets and Mike walked my through the potential causes and I was able to fix it myself. I appreciate a master electrician sharing his knowledge with me. It earned him a loyal customer for the future. I will be using Mike for all my electrical needs. Thanks again. -Casey D. read more

I like Mike. Mike is a super-friendly guy with a good heart. Sometimes you can just tell when you are talking to an honest guy. My impression of Mike is that he is honest. Mike is, of course, master electrician. With his visit today, he proved to be knowledgeable and highly competent. Having multiple properties I like having competent contractors that are honest. Mike fits the bill. Mike will not be my go-to guy for everything electrical. Thank you Mike. I can tell you have all these 5 star reviews for a reason. read more

Mike has helped us with two electrical issues and each interaction has been incredible. He is honest, trustworthy, and taught us how to prevent the issue in the future. Amazing service at a great valued price! We just used Mike again after he wired my sauna, and installed LED lighting in front oak trees. He's solid! This morning he came out due to a few different electrical issues and after a couple of hours, we had new LED lighting fixtures, new timers, fixed pool light GFI issue, repaired attic wiring, and at an invoice much less than expected. I almost feel like we need to see what else we can have them do since they're so reasonable and electrical work is no my bag! What's not to like? Great service, nice people, and wonderful work at a fantastic value! read more

Power to the attic (and AC) went out on a 100-degree Monday afternoon. Called Mike and he picked up first ring. He asked me a few questions over the phone and helped me find a mislabeled breaker that had tripped but still appeared to be in the on position. AC restored. Can't thank him enough and he will be my first call going forward for any electrician work. read more

Our electrical outlets had stopped working recently, and we suspected the work a shoddy vendor recently provided was the cause, so we shopped around for an independent electrician. Eventually we called Mike, and he started troubleshooting the problem over the phone for free. It turns out there were multiple problems, and his free solution fixed one of them. The others required digging around in the outlets. His willingness to troubleshoot our problems free of charge and his low service fee sold us. He came out and promptly fixed everything. It turns out the other vendor installed the wrong type of outlet and wired it incorrectly. Mike was punctual, polite, and knowledgeable. If we ever need an electrician again, he's getting a call! read more

We felt lucky to come across M D Electric on Yelp. We had two people from Yelp to call but decided to call Mike at MD Electric first. Mike answered quickly on a Saturday morning and by Tuesday evening, we had all of the electrical upgrade as well as things need to be fixed done. What a blessing! Mike is puncture, kind, and an expert in what he does when trouble shooting. He is honest and really fair in his pricing too. Mike will be the only electrician in town we will go to. I have never felt so disrespected in a phone call where I was trying to obtain services from a business. The gentleman who answered my call cannot be the owner of the company as he claimed because if this was his business, he wouldn't have been so rude about answering my questions. I called them to get a quote and timeline for their services and when the phone was answered he made me feel as if I was wasting his precious time. Just the tone of his answer pretty much screamed "what do you want?" I was shocked but figured we all have bad days but c'mon! I'm a potential customer who's calling to pay you for your services. It's not as if you're giving me free services! Even if you were to give free services, this isn't how you talk to a lady! I will take my business elsewhere where I am not insulted for asking questions. Just unbelievable and still shocked! read more

Called Mike to see if he wants to place a bid on a project. Here's how the conversation went: Mike: MD Electrical. Me: Hi How are you? Mike: Very busy! Me: well, I got a project and wanted to get a quote Mike: "Click" hangs up! Ok so maybe the line got disconnected. I sent a text asking if he hung up or if the line got disconnected (giving him the benefit of the doubt). 2 minutes later he calls back and says is this a residential or commercial project and I tell him it's a commercial project. His response was (and it's word for word) I don't do commercial projects, go F**k yourself! Yes it sounds unbelievable, not sure what kind of stress he's under to treat a potential customer like this. Forget a potential customer, who treats anyone as such? I'm still baffled. I still can't believe this interaction. Okay Mike, business must be great for you and no one has thought you manners or decency. You should be ashamed of yourself. A simple "we don't do commercial projects" would have been sufficient but unfortunately being a miserable human being preventing you from saying so. read more

This is the gold standard of customer service. I've used this company twice - once to repair a dead outlet, and a second time to replace an electrical panel. Michael Hill is extremely knowledgeable, and does what he says he will do, when he says he will do it, and at a very fair price. He returns phone calls. He is very courteous, professional, and very much appreciates the business you give him. Sound too good to be true? It's not. You have to see to believe. read more

We contacted Mike to get an estimate for our kitchen remodel and while he was here we asked him to look at our landscape lighting that did not work. He did and gave us a quote to replace and upgrade our lighting. They look fantastic. He was very helpful during the consultation and his price was great. He was prompt and even finished early which was reflected in the final bill. I will absolutely use them again as they will be doing the electrical work for our kitchen remodel later this month. Mike provided that personal and professional service that is sadly not found as much these days. read more

Michael responded quickly for my request for a quote and communicated effectively on what I needed to do to prep the area he would be working in prior to his arrival. He arrived when promised and was professional, friendly and protective of my house (outer booties, drop cloths, etc.), went right to work and finished quickly. His price quote was honored - no "extras" added and there was no attempt to upsell, as I've experienced before with other home servicers. Great guy, great service and very reasonable price. We called Mike, and he said he could stop by on his way back from another job. We had multiple issues .and he quickly did troubleshooting and repaired all issues.
