At 1:00, the tech called and said he would be there in 5 minutes. I live in the Lightfoot area of Williamsburg VA. Tech (JB Stewart) showed up right on time. Super friendly and super knowledgeable. He had all the parts with him and about 30 - 45 minutes later the garage door was fixed. (the spring had broken and he replaced, plus some minor adjustments). I should point out that Apple was the 3rd company I called. The first 2 (ATW and another company whose name escapes me) never returned my calls. I can't comment on Apple pricing, because I wanted my garage fixed ASAP. I paid about $450 to have the springs replaced. I can't say if that's high, low, or average since the other guys never called me back to even give me a price. 5 stars for Apple and JB Stewart.

Patriot Plumbing replaced my water heater that was covered by AHS. The warranty service paid for…read morethe new unit, and I paid Patriot for the "modifications" which totaled $776. This seemed to be a bit high, but I was prepared to write a check or use a credit card to pay the balance. My issue is that Patriot would only accept cash forcing me to drive to the bank during the Coronavirus pandemic to withdraw $776 in cash. I asked if there was another way to pay and they refused stating "company policy". The governor issued allowable travel guidelines for a reason. It seems to me that Patriot Plumbing does not care about the health and well being of me, my family, or the community. I am giving one extra star because the two men that replaced my water heater were kind and courteous and seemed to do a good job.
