In 2022 I had a large amount of work done at Advanced Dentistry, during the process a discount was applied to my account due to a staff member miss quote on my treatment plan , They are now in 2025 billing me for the discounted amount saying it's due to Insurance non payment , funny thing is three years later the amount matches the discount we agreed on. Don't be surprised if years later you get a bill because they don't like what they charged you and what you agreed to. The staff changes all the time , don't trust them . 2nd review as they have a new finance Office person. The other review is on Google. I got an all on four and they broke within a couple days. They fixed them. They broke within a couple days. They fixed them in less than 20 minutes or normally it takes 6 hours. Gave me $2,000 credit. I wonder why. Well I just had chicken and they just broke again. She told me that I should take part of the blame because I chose our acrylic over zirconia. She wants me to take the blame because I picked our acrylic well. I'm not a dentist now. I have Stabili teeth on top. Which have not even moved in two years. She said those must be zirconia and to strong for the acrylic I chose. No my bank account chose acrylic. The New Dentist said to her those are not zirconia. And almost 40k without extractions. After financing it would cost over 67,000k . She stated she will not sell acrylic and if somebody does want the all on 4 acrylic she will tell them they will break. Yes I don't believe that. The Head Surgeon would fire her in a NY minute. This place already had a Actual dentist loose his license. Look it up. Now I owe care credit 13k for teeth that will continue to break and at the end I will have 4 metal post instead of teeth. This place should be sued closed down, bring your phone and record everything. They say. Now I have no credit left to get a new pair. Karma will get them in the end. I will continue to blast them on every review on Google , Facebook, etc.... Please if you go in there record it all. That way no issues when you turn them in to the Dental board. Specifically asked them before made the appointment if they could get me in before I left for an assignment for 3 months and they said yes. So they scheduled the surgery then had to reschedule and then called me yet again to reschedule for a date passed my leave date. Then kept calling me knowing my schedule and telling me they had it scheduled for another day and I told them I could not do that date like I had told them from the beginning. I absolutely hate this place! They're never ready for your appointment. I'm sitting here now. My appointment was at 10:30 and I had to call the front desk to find out where everyone was at and why have I been sitting here in for 30 minutes. Then Kimberly, the manager came in here with an attitude asking if I called the front desk which I told them I did. I had an appointment on the may 31st to get my permanent crown and had to reschedule. Today is the 8th and my temporary came out and all of a sudden they do not have my perm. This place is a joke. After extensive research about all on 4 dental implants I found that Dr. Kaar provided the most reasonable cost for such procedure by a prosthodontist. I felt more comfortable having this procedure done by a specialist rather than a general dentist. I have been suffering with loss of teeth for a while and life has been extremely difficult. I had to hide my smile for many years and were not able to chew on food like a normal person. Dr. Kaar walked me through the process and even gavea tour of their in-house dental laboratory. I am not much of a technology person but they had all sorts of computers and milling machines that looked very complicated. They were able to design and fit my new teeth in-house and we did not have to wait days on days unlike the other dentists I went to prior to getting my work done here. When YOU agree to have dental treatment of any kind, YOU are at the mercy of the dentist who provides the service. Hopefully the dentist is truly a professional with the patient in mind. This is not always the case. With this said, about nine months ago I walked into Advanced Dentistry for a free consultation. I had already spent $12,000 with another dentist and the work was not quality and had to be removed. Dr. Karr suggested I consider all-on-6 for my upper arch and some additional implant/crown/bridge work on my lower arch. I accepted the plan, paid $$$$$$ in cash and Dr. Karr began treating me. COVID-19 caused a delay in my treatment plan, but I put my faith and dental future into their hands and my DENTAL TREATMENT PROCESS on my upper arch is finally coming to an end. So, I cannot provide information on the level of my satisfaction with the work at this time. However, I am not at this stage of the game dissatisfied with the work...and 1of my 7 implants failed and needs to be redone - another delay in the treatment plan. Yes, I've had my ups and downs and some pain and disappointments. Yet, I give Dr. Karr and his staff 4-stars at this time. It is important to understand that if the costly dental work YOU have approved, signed your life away for, and signed all the legal documents required to protect the DENTIST isn't done correctly the time and expense YOU have incurred is worth nothing. In fact, unprofessional work will be very costly to "undo". PLEASE take my advice, put your money and trust into the capable hands of a true professional. Doctor Karr is unprofessional. He was rude to me and his staff on more than one occasions. He was supposed to lead and coach everyone in harmony to accomplish the common goal. Yet he was always quiet and suddenly busted out frustration upon patient or staff. He yelled at me at one time when I grind my new crown because he was bad at giving Instructions. No communication skill at all. I have children with PhD and PA myself but I taught them to be humble and respectful. It took 13 months to get my implant done. I paid full in cash on day one. They refused to file insurance claim or help me with any paperwork. Some of the front desk girls are rude too. You don't know any names including doctors. They are afraid too give out their names for a reason. I am glad it was over after 13 months waiting with anxiety. But no, that's not what happened. When I sent their office the most recent quote from the last dentist I saw, they accused me of writing in my own prices. I got my wisdom teeth removed by them back in may, and when talking about the procedure, I told them that ibuprofen did not work for me and that it never has. They told me they understood, even asked me about other medications that would work. After everything was done I got sent home with ibuprofen. I was in extreme pain from my gums and jaw for weeks and when I went to another dentist about the pain, coke to find out a part of my jaw was gone as well so extra pain on top of wisdom teeth removal. which could have been avoided if they had just stuck to their word and listened to me when I said that ibuprofen doesn't work for me. read more

I made an appt for a teeth cleaning and got there on time in the morning before work to sit for hours while they stumbled around trying to figure out if someone could do it. Then they said the office manager was ready to talk to me about pricing after I gave them 3000.00 for an implant that my body rejected and they had to remove 2 weeks after putting it in. She quoted me another 4500.00 and when I asked about the 3000.00 I already paid she said there was nothing I could do because my doctor retired last year and I would of needed to talk to him. But having something on a trial and pulling it out in my mind doesn't warrant 3000.00.. good business would be to apply half the amount to the cost of the next procedure and have my insurance pay the 50% which she claimed my insurance wouldn't pay because she didn't see it listed.. I spoke to them directly and they told me they pay 50% of the cost. So clearly they don't know what there doing.. Apparently my lat review had been deleted I am still trying to a settlement via the TX State Dentistry board ------------- I paid Advanced Dentistry, IN FULL, for Zirconia "4 on 1" dental implants which they eventually delivered after 15 months. (a stupid move -- Do Not Pay up front) ------------------- 36 visits to date (04/02/21)(several more have been since 7/14/21) Made 36 visits from 10/02/19 to 04/02/21 about 25 more than told originally shceduled ( 9 visits of 2 surgeries + follow ups) Approx 16 visits to keep repairing the Same temporary Prosthesis The temporary prosthesis made to wear while the jaw healed kept breaking and needed emergency repair - Each Time. NIGHTMARE !!! Spend the extra to go elsewhere -- you will wind up spending it again anyway to fix his work. I am not alone on this-- research!! Also - In that time period the ENTIRE office turned over including several Dr's. This speaks volumes as well. Eventually I will get refund plus damages. I have been needing dental implants, all on 4 procedure in particular for a while now for my upper and lower teeth. Yes, my teeth were a mess and having a phobia of sitting on a dentist chair only made me procrastinate which made matters worse. After months of research I narrowed down my choice to Advanced dentistry. Dr. Kaar who performed the surgery was very clear on the procedures I needed in order to restore my teeth. I was assured with sedation I have nothing to fear and won't feel a thing. My operation was performed successfully and I am extremely happy I made my appointment. The front office was great and Amber was fantastic in handling the insurance and paperwork. My wife, much like myself is also scared of stepping in a dentist office but she had a root canal that needed to be addressed. Dr. Olga is probably the most compassionate dentist I have ever had the pleasure of meeting and she made sure to make my wife feel comfortable and explained to my wife why she needed to take care of her decaying tooth sooner than later to prevent even further damage. I was surprised how genuinely my wife felt good after her root canal (of course there was some pain afterwards) and she made a follow up appointment to get her teeth whitened. I'm one of those idiots who drank Dr. Pepper and ate candy all the time since I was an adolescent. I put off my dental care for way too long and got to the point where I needed some dental implants and restoration. I hunted around and found Dr. Kaar online advertising dental implants for less than anyone else around. At this point, I'm about halfway through my treatment plan. I had a sinus lift and 4 of my 6 implants put in a couple of days ago. So far, I have been very pleased with Dr. Kaar and all of his staff. Everyone has been very nice, professional, and considerate of my concerns and fear of needles. Dr. Kaar was very gentle with the IV to the point where was pleasantly surprised at how painless it was going in. My temporary bridge looks amazing and I can't wait to get the rest of my treatment plan finished off. I'll be sure to update my review if anything changes, but so far, I highly recommend this team. A few facts: Planned visits: 9-11 visits over 6-8 months Actual: 36 visits!!! over 18 months This was not because I had a problem procedure. They had people turnover problems the entire time (99% turn over from start to finish only 2 originals , Dr Kaar and the Office Mgr). ---------- They gave me the run around for months , dragging out the time and visits. Until I found out the real issues of money & turnover. They had people issues and money issues & could not afford the right machine to finish my needs. So they kept me in the dark as to real issues and had me stringing out the number and time between visits to get time to fix Their issues. Since this extended my time wearing a "Temporary prosthesis" it kept breaking. At one point I had 4 visits in 5 days. 3 hours each! Each visit could last between 1- 3 hours of waiting. Add in travel time (45mins to 1.5 hours each way) means I spent an incredible amount of wasted time in traffic and the office... waiting. I work for myself so this was also Very expensive. And very unnecessary. I paid in cash upfront so simply going elsewhere was not an option. At one point they had gone "dark" on my calls for 6 weeks. I went to a lawyer and had the paperwork drawn up for a suit. Next day I called them one last time and they "miraculously" had everything ready the next day. Which too, actually turned into another month to finish. I went to them to save a few dollars by paying cash and instead spent way more then the competition in time spent. Not to mention aggravation. And then there is an issue of quality: 5/22/21 Saturday The end product came loose today .. 7 weeks after "finishing". So cannot bite/chew or eat for rest of weekend. I am thinking I will ever be finished Advance Dentistry or Dr Kaar because this will never be right. Sigh! Caveat Emptor - even with so called professionals. read more

At my initial consultation Dr. Kaar went over the procedure step by step but being the nervous wreck that I am, I had many more questions and some were probably silly and annoying, however, all my questions and concerns were answered which made me feel confident with my decision to get my implants done with Dr. Kaar. Now on to financing, implants are not cheap and staying within my budget was important and a must and Advanced Dentistry was the only practice that encouraged me to shop around and find the same quality of care for the same price. Many practices I consulted were giving me the price for the implant but did not mention that I will also require the abutment and crown as well. I had my implants placed 2 months ago and I wanted to wait and make sure everything went right before I proceeded to review this practice. But in order to start service we will need to pay upfront and then will be reimbursed when the insurance pays out. After multiple attempts we were told by the office staff that insurance takes time. Only to find out that the office never submitted the paperwork for insurance. We have made several attempts to get the refund but the office is ignoring to reply to the emails or give us our refund.
