The dentist replaced lots of my failing buccal fillings (I have many, due to a lifetime of bruxism.) I had a square chip in my top front tooth, and he filled it unnoticeably. All of my other fillings also now match my natural tooth color, which the previous didn't do. I wouldn't necessarily travel from Jersey City to Raritan to see them again, but I was treated well and think they did a good job.

The practice also has frequent staff and dentist turnover, and some staff members have been unprofessional. I have stayed with this practice for more than 30 years, largely because I liked one particular dentist and had developed a long-standing relationship with the office. During that time, I never failed to pay a bill, yet I was still being pursued for payment over the July 4th holiday weekend. When I finally received the bill and tried to pay it by phone, I discovered that the office had provided a different balance than the one originally communicated. I ended up spending about 40 minutes on the phone with the business owner trying to reconcile the numbers, only to arrive at the same figure we had started with. How could they charge so much you ask, because it feels awesome and everyone knows it (better than weed by far in my opinion), plus it makes a miserable procedure go from virtually unbearable to virtually unnoticeable. As far as the professionalism of the office they get top marks. With regards to the doctor that I saw whose name is escaping me right now, he's all business and really knows root canal. They're not just dentists their endodontist which is kind of like a dentist "on steroids" (I hate that expression, I couldn't think of anything better at the moment). Believe it or not the dentist that sent me there "didn't feel comfortable doing root canal it on the molars", I found that kind of strange because I went to a professional, a dentist(!). Apparently this is pretty normal and this is why Endodontists exist. In fact given the skill level I would say go to an endodontist for any root canal, period. The last time I had root canal it was by a regular dentist and you could tell with certain parts of it he was having some issues. So far the tooth is fine, roughly a year later, but you can definitely tell that the extra three years of schooling (fellowship) that the specialists/Endodontists go through teall
