3 am is NOT the best time of day to be entertaining the idea of appropriate dental care, but when your face is throbbing and all you really want to do is pull your own teeth out, you find yourself reevaluating those ideas REALLY quickly! With classic root canal symptoms, I knew I needed an endodontist, and Dr. Davich came highly recommended by friends, family, and colleagues. Made the call first thing in the morning and found myself in his chair faster than I could have possibly imagined. Staff members accommodated my needs quickly and efficiently. All registration requirements are conveniently emailed to the patient. An encrypted code to access my chart was texted to me, and I was able to fill out my entire medical history from the comfort of my own home. Fees were quoted up front. No blindside surprises at this office. Everything is completely transparent. I spoke to both Kristen and Lexy at the front desk. Both ladies were kind and informative. They even took my insurance information over the phone and explained to me the process of submitting for reimbursement from my dental plan! No confusing paperwork. No filling out on my own! Super simple. Staff also explained the COVID screening process, confirmed that I was symptom-free, and documented my vaccination status. They also had me call the office from the parking lot to alert them to my arrival allowing them to maintain control over the occupancy of their office as well as allowing me to relax in my car until my appointment time instead of sitting in a waiting room, masked and potentially bored. I was brought inside within five minutes of my arrival. The building is conveniently located directly across from Morristown Medical Center right off Rt. 287, has massive amounts of parking, and is fully accessible for patients of all abilities and medical circumstances. There are multiple entrances- all handicapped accessible, and all have elevator banks and stairwell access, as well. The office is located on floor A of the building. Upon entering, staff is immediately available to bring the patient directly to their room. A full workup was performed by a very friendly assistant, Diana. She took X-rays and went over my medical and dental history, ensured that all of my allergies were documented, and explained the procedure to me. Doctor Davich went over my X-rays with me, performed several diagnostic procedures, and figured out which tooth the pain was coming from... and it wasn't where I thought it was at all! Turns out many patients show up with unlocalized pain that they believe is sourced from one tooth and ends up actually coming from somewhere else! He even explained why that happens and how nerve pathways and referred pain work in the mouth. It was very interesting and informative. After again going over the procedure, Doctor Davich numbed my tooth and gums, and got to work. I even got to watch the procedure on a TV screen! The doctor and his assistant worked quickly and efficiently, continued to explain what he was doing throughout the treatment, and frequently checked in with me to make sure I was comfortable and pain-free (I was!). When the procedure was done, both he and his assistant reviewed post-operative care and assured me that I would be contacted the following day to check on me. Reception went over the post-op care a third time and provided me with a claim form to submit to my insurance company for reimbursement. I didn't have to fill out any confusing forms or even sign anything. The office conveniently accepts cash, check, credit, or care credit for payment, and I was given an itemized statement for my flex spending account, as well. This office could not possibly make this whole process any easier or more convenient. And the best part? When the numbing wore off, I was blessedly pain free! I've already shared my experience with my friends and family. I highly recommend this Doctor and his staff to everyone who needs (or even suspects they need) a root canal! read more
