When you have a great oral surgery center like Warren Oral Surgery, getting a tooth extracted is a 5-star experience! If you know you need to have a tooth removed, and are feeling worried about it, I want to assure you that Dr. Mehrotra and his staff took excellent care of me! Dr. Mehrotra was so gentle and kind, and his soft-spoken manner put me at ease immediately. He administered the shots of anesthesia skillfully, and made sure I was 100% numb before he smoothly and quickly removed my fractured molar. His assistants were also calm and pleasant, and I felt safe in their experienced hands. The office is very well run with a great website that I used ahead of time to submit my new patient information. When I arrived, all my paperwork was in order and the insurance coordinator was clear on how much my insurance would cover and how much was my responsibility. I appreciated their organization and that there were no hidden fees. They are in-network for Delta Dental of NJ so the portion I had to pay was minimal. As a plus, the office building is beautiful, as is the interior design of the Oral Surgery Center. I liked looking out at the scenic hills of Warren as I sat in the dental chair. read more

Went for wisdom tooth extraction but ended up not getting anything done because they didn't offer any type of patient support in terms of payment. They told me to pay $1400 up front out of pocket. They allowed care credit which you have to apply for and get accepted for. If you're not accepted, you either pay the amount or stay in pain and leave. No patient care or compassion. The doctor I spoke to didn't care. He went on a tangent about how they aren't a "charity" and how they have bills and rent and employees to pay, which I respect and understand but so do your patients. There was just no compassion or concern for me as a patient and just as a human in general. I felt looked down on and lesser than because I couldn't pay $1400 out of pocket on the spot and they didn't want to offer even a payment plan because "no one pays us back" according to the doctor. I recommend doing your research and finding another place where they put the patient first and actually care about why they do this job as opposed to just pay me now and worry later. read more

I had a really bad infected tooth, and I knew with no question that I was going back to Dr, Sullivan shall I ever needed services rendered. So, let's start out with Veronica was my initial call on February 24th who set a date for February 26, for me to come in. Veronica was very professional; she answered all of my questions and was able to schedule me in a timely manner. Veronica provided me with nothing but WORLD CLASS SERVICE. I wish that Veronica can use her customer service skills as a training tool to a lot of companies to provide WORLD CLASS SERVICE. I had a back every cracked tooth extracted yesterday by Dr. Gift. I'm not afraid of dentists.. But, I was very nervous. I was pleasantly surprised and comforted by Dr. Gift full explanation of what was to happen. Anticipating pain during the extraction I proceeded to squeeze and his assistants hand . I was wrong. OUTSTANDING. People who need oral surgery usually arrive in pain after a sleepless night. The staff and docs acknowledge this immediately. Not sure of the young man's name (possible Asian or hispanic?) who initially took me in for x-ray and info but he couldn't have been more genuinely compassionate. Then, Rory took over... offered a blanket, would it help to lower the music, would I like some ibuprofen, then recognizing my angst asked the doc about giving me a small dose of xanax, She suggested closing my eyes, asked me would I like a bit of vaseline on my lips, asked me repeatedly if she could do anything else to make me more comfortable. She was anticipatory- didn't wait for me to ask- just offered comforts. Both of them were truly caring- knowing no one "likes" oral surgery, just two extraordinary people/ Kudos to whomever hired them. This is my significant others 2nd procedure at Warren. He has a severe phobia of the dentist due to childhood trauma and both times they were very kind and gentle. They consulted with him and provided him with all of his options. They put him under anesthesia both times and let me stay with him until the last possible second knowing he was terrified. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I am currently in the process of filing a medical malpractice suit against Dr. Margolis at Warren Oral Surgery. He botched a straightforward single wisdom tooth removal causing me to be hospitalized for days. I was unable to open my mouth more than a centimeter for months and lost over 20 lbs. I have been to physical therapy, and still have not fully recovered and it has been 10 months since the extraction. To add insult to injury, after Dr. Margolis acknowledged he was responsible, he was attempting to negotiate with me on covering the cost of my medical bills. After one of our calls, he thought he had hung up and was discussing my case with the Head of the Practice and they were discussing how they planned to "low ball" me. They are unethical narcissists, and I look forward to them having to pay for having done this to me. read more

The office was clean with updated scanning equipment. The intake tech and room prep personnel were amicable and professional. The actual operation and interaction with Dr Sullivan was pleasant and they didn't rush me like most dentist. He did answer my questions and presented my options. He did show me the actual scan and talked me through the options and eventualities of my decisions. At the end of opted for extraction and bone graft. The front office did have paperwork online which made things simple with the insurance paperwork. The worse came next after the surgery. Before surgery I didn't have any pain or discomfort apart from miscellaneous bubble in the mouth. After the surgery, the condition was significantly aggravated. I had a pain every day. The customer service was terrible. Their website promised 24 hours chat support. Indeed, somebody responded to my request on the website, but that was useless: they just redirected me to call the clinic phone number. I called them and the representative "Apple" responded. Apple denied to provide any help because she doesn't know the name of my doctor. I told, I don't know his name because I saw him only once. She asked to look in the prescription. But the doctor never gave me any prescription, I said. I complained to her, then she told "have a great day" and hang up. read more

Daniel Sullivan ruined my life and I believe I would have died if it wasn't for meal replacement drinks. I went to him healthy over a year ago and I left sick. My stomach never recovered. I never regained the ability to eat. He avoided me when I tried to contact him about this. He kicked me out after saying "it will probably resolve." One year later, it has not resolved. I am now traveling to work with a tertiary hospital to undo what this idiot did to me. If you ever think you did a bad job on something remember this guy. One was waiting for his mother, and the other -- I forget what they were there for now -- talked about the wonderful experience they had getting their wisdom teeth out with the doctor here. Was offered an appointment the next day during this pandemic and scheduled for 2 days later. The staff and doctor were very nice and explained everything clearly down to billing. I was referred to this office by my dentist for a wisdom tooth extraction. I could not be more pleased with this experience. The whole Warren team is taking the pandemic seriously. Everyone is masked up and the seating area has been arranged in a way that gives guests the option to be spaced out. The dental assistants and front desk team were so hospitable. Dr. Gift was fantastic. He explained the whole process to me and answered all my questions. I loved that I had the option to download all paperwork ahead of time so my wait time was minimal. From the time we scheduled the appointment, to the moment we step out of this practice the experience was outstanding. The office ambiance was pleasant and the receptionists were polite and professional. Dr. Sullivan was kind. friendly, and talk to us about the pros and cons. Dr. Sullivan removed the wisdom teeth from my teenaged daughter. She was so nervous and concerned as most young girls are with how she would look. Dr. Sullivan made her feel comfortable about the procedure before he began. The surgery went beautifully. She had very little swelling was back in school the next day. I was in such horrible pain when my dentist suggested I go to Dr. Mehrotra to have my infected wisdom tooth removed. He suggested getting all 4 removed at once as it was evident they would all soon become infected. He left this completely to me and took his time explaining everything to me and answering all of my questions. I went from being in such pain and scared to being so comfortable and completely trusted him. My recovery was SO quick and I was so happy I decided to have all teeth pulled at Warren Oral Surgery. I was recommended to this office by two friends. Really, it's an oral surgeon's office- nobody is happy to be there, and the staff handles that with excellence. I felt as if they truly cared about my well-being. Getting an appointment was easy, all paperwork is done on line ahead of time. I waited maybe 5 minutes before seeing Dr. Mehrotra. He has an excellent bedside manner and I felt at ease. I liked the way there is one entrance in and another going out, so you never see anyone leaving with the headband and ice packs while you are in the waiting room already feeling anxious. I loved the care package I received when I was done, and my prescriptions were waiting at my pharmacy. If I could make any suggestions; there is no in-office patient restroom. You have to go out the office door and into the public hallway restroom. Also, I felt super groggy from the IV sedation and probably could've used a few extra minutes in the recovery room, I don't even remember walking out or the ride home (I obviously wasn't alone or driving) but maybe that's normal. But everything else was as good of an experience as possible, I would go here again, and will be taking my children here for wisdom tooth removal at some point. read more

The procedure was quick and the office is clean, which is why I will give this place 2 stars, however, it's been over a year and i'm still numb on my lower lip/chin area. They mentioned that there is a possibility of nerve damage that connects to my nasal cavity (which is why I did not take out that one tooth). I mentioned this issue to them several times and they told me it would heal in time - probably in a few months (I notified them weeks in, months in and nothing). There seems to be nothing they can do. Maybe they were not careful enough. read more

I have been in so much pain, and given the troubling times that we are all undergoing. It has been a bit hard to find an open emergency dentist. I searched and was fortunate to find one and they were able to refer me to come here for my oral surgery, since the tooth I had that needed to be pulled was a bit complicated. Luckily they were able make a same day appointment and they accepted my insurance!! The copay for was not high for me it was $45. Also I have to admit I was super scared and anxious and I couldn't afford to be put to sleep. The dental Surgeon was so kind as well as his assistants, they were all helpful, & gave me something to calm my nerves and made encouraging comments throughout the surgery. After everything was done I was given my prescriptions after and a care packet. If there is anyone who needs a recommendation I would DEFINITELY refer them here the staff is professional and everyone is friendly and kind hearted even the receptionists !! Was referred to this practice from my dentist for wisdom teeth removal. I am a surgical nurse who specializes in anesthesia so I'm always on high alert for how I'm being monitored and treated pre/post op. This place was great, very professional! The front staff was very kind and explained how the day would go. The nurse was great and the doctor was right on time. He reviewed my radiographs and informed me of the plan. I signed my paperwork and went to the procedure room. The space was very clean and their were 4 staff members in there with me which I liked. The dr placed my IV as the trained staff got me hooked up to all monitoring equipment, the dr gave me the injection for my IV anesthesia and as soon as my oxygen mask went on I was out. They brought me to the recovery room and turned the lights out for me when I fell back asleep. They escorted my husband back and went over all discharges with him. The dr came back to check on me and off we went. I highly recommend this place for their consistency between communication from front desk to dr, their level of care, their cleanliness, and their professionalism. read more

I have been Dr. Sullivan's patient since he opened his first office in Warren, and he has done multiple bone grafts, sinus lifts, and implants for me over the years. He has extracted teeth from my daughter and my friends' children. I think that shows the highest level of trust in an oral surgeon from someone who has has a plethora of oral surgeries since childhood. I am very picky with the care of my teeth, and I have changed my dentists, endodontists, prosthodontists, and periodontists over the years whenever I move. My constant, however, is Dr. Sullivan. I have not changed my oral surgeon since my first implant with him! His knowledge of implants is up-to-date, vast, and coupled with vast experience.
