I don't usually post reviews but there was a review on here that said the gas didn't work (and the paragraph was WAY too long) and honestly, it almost deterred me from coming. I'm so glad I listened to my dentist, who HIGHLY recommended Dr. Barsemian. I have severe dental phobia and Dr. Barsemian eased my nerves from the moment he walked in. He made me feel comfortable, made me laugh, and on top of that, his expertise is unmatched. The entire staff was extremely kind today and made the whole experience so much easier for me. My tooth already feels better. Thank you for getting me in as an emergency and taking such good care of me. Oh, and the gas WORKS just fine. read more

I was completely horrified by this dentist. I went for a root canal recommended by my dentist so I thought he knew what he was talking about the minute I sat in the chair. I knew I was in trouble. I am an extremely anxiety strict in person I have dealt with sadly young years of terrible dentistry, so I have tremendous anxiety. I asked the nurse and told her I needed the gas. She told me the dentist would administer it. She seemed uncomfortable. The dentist came in and they told me the gas was on. I've received gas many times I know the effect it starts out with a very sweet smell within seconds. You are feeling like you're floating, which makes your dental experience, no matter how hard The task easier to do. I told her immediately there was just air coming out of this Tube. There is no gas coming out of it. She reluctantly said it's on the highest it can go. I knew I was being lied to then the dentist came in. I told him gas is not coming on. He rather abruptly said give it a chance and immediately started to put the numbing gel on my gums before he injected the Novacaine with no empathy whatsoever too. He was in such a hurry ! I might add All the while the gas never showed up. I was beside myself with fear, but I was already in a compromised position there was nothing I could do. My mouth was filled with tools, and I was already injected with Novacaine all the while, knowing there was no gas except air coming out of that tube. When it was over, I said to him, there's no gas that came out of that he then began to gaslight me. Oh I actually thought you fell asleep. That's what he said. I can assure you I never was asleep. I'm 71 years old. I know what it feels like to get gas And I never received it. The biggest insult to me was that they had the nerve to charge me $125 additional to the already high fee for gas ( I NEVER RECEIVED ) I knew I was being lied to by both his self and his assistant I would never ever go back to this dentist and I certainly would never ever ever recommend him !!!!! This practice is horrible - DO NOT USE!! First, I went there because I needed a root canal in an (almost) emergency situation - I was told upon entering the office that I had to pay them $1,925.00 up-front. It turns out that they are out-of-network for my dental plan (Delta Dental Premier). When I found out that I was being reimbursed for only $318 by Delta Dental because they were out-of-network (the in-network negotiated charge was $636), I immediately called the office upon finding out that I "overpaid" for this service by $1,300. I was told that they were not in-network with any insurance plans. Upon asking why I was not informed of this before the procedure started, the office manager, Jason, just said they were not obligated to inform patients of this fact. Apparently, I just made a generous contribution to Dr. Barsemian, who, by the way, has the worst bedside manner you can ever experience. read more

The Apex Endodontics I visited in Morristown (Across from Whole Foods) was a lot to be desired. Not only did I bring my x-ray but felt I was being coerced into having a root canal for $2000.00 on a tooth that NEEDED to be extracted in the first place!!! When I refused to have the root canal the doctor seemed a bit put off and asked if I wanted to save the tooth or not??? Of course, but only IF it's salvageable which in this case it was NOT. I was not there to have unnecessary dental work!!! The entire visit took less than 15 minutes and guess how much they charged me...did I mention I brought my own x-ray??? $350.00 for him to look in my mouth and say we can do a root canal BUT you might need to have it extracted!!!!! The tooth was cracked below the gumline. Wouldn't recommend the place. read more

Arrogant. I had to have a root canal repeated. The tooth continued to be painful for 2 or 3 years but every time I asked for help I was told that there was nothing wrong, that his work was perfect. I recently had that tooth pulled and it was cracked and the endodontist was wrong. read more

Office staff is less than professional...When your most in need, you'll be left feeling like you are worthless!

After being referred here by my dentist, in acute pain, I was given a 1:45 appointment in Westfield (from Morristown). On my way, I was called to say an "associate " would be seeing me..when I got there, the office was dark and there was no answer at ANY of the 3 offices.i waited for 20 minutes & finally left in frustration. When I finally reached them at 2:10, I was told, "Oh we're coming from Morristown, we couldn't possibly be there @ 1:45" Needless to say, after wasting ALL that time in traffic I would NEVER use this practice.. read more

Make sure they're in network! They won't tell you. $1850 out of pocket up front for root canal. Reimbursed less than $500. However, Dr. Barsemian has very good bedside manner. read more

Had a root canal at Apex. Dr Negron is an expert dentist. Very kind and professional. The office staff is kind and courteous. The office uses the best technology available. The office is extremely clean. read more

First you must pay in full before seeing the doctor, that should have been a tip off. Dr. Barsemian started a root canal on my tooth in February. Currently, it is August and the work has not been completed. He refused to finish the tooth until I paid him for a second root canal. I went to a dentist and another endodontist who both agreed a second root canal wasn't necessary. Run away! read more
