We cannot recommend ABC, and Nick specifically, highly enough. Nick reached out following an inquiry through Yelp to make some repairs to our detached garage, though we had several additional projects in mind. The house we had just bought previously belonged to a blacksmith, and he turned the backyard into a workshop, meaning there were steel beams reinforcing roofed structures and concrete everywhere. It basically looked like an industrial wasteland, and we dreamed of someday turning it into a yard that our kids could play in. We had corresponded with several other contractors before Nick, and we felt wary about someone taking advantage of us, so we planned to keep our cards close to our chest. The original thought was to see if the contractor who did our garage repairs would be a good fit for the rest of our work. During the consultation visit, Nick seemed knowledgeable about what would go into the garage repairs we were asking for. When we mentioned that we also wanted demolition and landscaping someday, Nick described the scope of work in a way that more closely aligned with our vision than other contractors' ideas. For example, we had several contractors tell us that we should demolish our garage and rebuild from scratch or move the structure to the other side of the yard; Nick respected our wish to build on the existing structure in order to respect our budget. He described demolition to the blacksmith workshop in a similar way, and we liked the proposal he sent to us, so we decided to move forward. What really has me writing this review and raving about this experience was the relationship we developed with Nick after work began. Nick told us in the beginning that he was going to treat us like his family, and he 100% honored that. We were still getting to know this new house we had just moved into, and as we noticed problems in the house that needed attention, Nick offered us options (with pricing) for how to proceed on fixes, if we wanted to fix at all. For example, our plumbing inspection report found that the main sewer line could maybe benefit from being reinforced. Nick had his plumbing guys take a more in-depth look at the pipe, gave us a price to possibly reinforce it, and gave his honest thoughts on the state of the pipe. He told us that if this were his house, given how the pipe currently looks, he probably wouldn't make that repair. There were several other instances over the course of the work in which Nick proved himself to be an honorable man. When everything was said and done, Nick and the ABC team repaired our garage, demolished the blacksmith workshop and replaced it with a travertine patio plus sod, installed irrigation for the landscaping, re-drilled for the pipes under our house to make our kitchen sink work better, fixed our existing side gate on one side of the house and installed a new side gate on the other, did a major repair to our gate at the back of the property, built a deck for the backyard, and did it all within our original budget. The icing on the cake was Nick buying diapers for us when my wife went into labor at the very end of our work together. We'll have Nick over to meet our babies, and we'll definitely go through him again if we want more work in the future. read more

Building your home today is not so easy. Especially when there are so many things to consider. How many bedrooms do I want how many bathrooms do I want do I want a flat roof or do I want a roof with the pitch. And then there's all the legality and the clearances that you have to deal with when it comes to the city of La. And you have to be patient to see what and where they will allow you to build on the property. When we originally spoke to Nick he told us to pick a good engineer and architect. He was so right because it made the biggest difference when we had the right team. After we got our plans approved Nick was our go to contractor to build the house. He was an amazing asset on our team because he made everything happen. Thank you advanced builders and contractors. read more

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Nick? He's everything that everyone has shared and more. We gutted our house and did a full renovation. We are first time home owners and home renovators, and Nick was our big brother guiding us through the renovation process and everything in between. It can be scary, right? Any questions or needs we had, Nick had the answers and solid recommendations. We always felt we were in good hands. We interviewed three general contractors total for our project and Nick came the most prepared and organized, which was a good sign he was going to be as organized and as thoughtful for our renovation. Our home is almost 100 years old, and so we came across some bumps along the road, but nothing that Nick couldn't handle. The project was just a little (weeks) passed the projected timeline, but considering all that was done and some challenges, it could have taken a lot longer. Nick is a true professional, trustworthy and an excellent communicator. He never left us hanging like some of those horror stories you hear about. He's backed by a talented team -- yes Sylvester the tile man is amazing. Nick's plumbing team (father and son) are also top notch. Everyone that comes into our home can't stop saying how stunning it is, and I recommend him to all that ask who was responsible for our home makeover. The before and after photos are unbelievable. Nick and team built us a home that my family will cherish forever. We've already told Nick he's doing all of our future renovations and additions because he's just that good. We give him our highest recommendation! read more

Let me start by saying that it's a challenge to find a good, responsible contractor. We got very lucky with Advanced Building Contractors. They did a fantastic job building our dream home. Nick, the owner, hired highly skilled subcontractors for each trade and we couldn't be happier with their work. Our entire home was remodeled from the ground up. The work progressed in a timely manner and communication was excellent throughout. I get compliments from almost every single person that walks in front of our home. I would highly recommend ABC Contractors for any construction or remodeling work. read more

We are so glad we got recommended to them. We knew we wanted to build a new house or completely remodel our existing property, and add on a room addition in the back with a pool. We just didn't know what to do and who to contact first. When we would pick up the phone and call a local architect he would say: I need to know your budget. I need to know what kind of home you want to build. And I need to know how big of a home you want. We didn't know the answers to all of these questions, and we certainly didn't know how much the budget for it. When we would call a local contractor. They would say that we need a set of plans including your architectural and your structural plans. We need to know your budget. And obviously we didn't have these items either. One of our friends who had recently done some work with advanced builders and contractors. Recommended that we call and speak to Nick and see how he could help us. At first I think he was hesitant to help us because he didn't think that we were serious. But as the conversation got more serious he saw that we had a healthy budget and that we were serious about building a new home. He got more serious with us. The entire process with the city of LA's building and safety took about a year and a half. Whenever we got stuck with our architect or engineer we would always turn to Nick for advice. You could say he gave us his time and expertise for over a year and a half without charging us a penny. It was obvious that we had found a reputable contractor who would be putting in the time to be able to earn our project. Every time we had a appointment with the architect and didn't understand something Nick was there to help us. Every time we get a email from our engineer regarding a specific issue Nick helped us. You could say Nick helped bring this idea into reality because without his help we would have no idea on what we were doing. Our new home is built now and we are enjoying it thanks to all the hard work of advance builders and contractors and Nick. Thank you!!! read more

We asked Nick a lot of questions and he was able to answer everything to our satisfaction. There were some things he wouldn't know the answer to right away however he would tell me " let me research and find out what the best solution for you is and I will get back to you" And he did exactly that, without disappointment. I liked the fact that he was able to think outside the box and was always driven towards our goal. Another great quality about this contractor was that he was patient and listened to all our ideas even if they seemed like a stretch or not in our budget, and managed to work out a better solution or compromise for a more efficient option. Oh and We were able to choose all of our own finishing touches, which gave us the ability to design the look we wanted and still try to save more money. I felt he was always up for the challenge and determined to meet our final goal. A very big thanks for all of your hard work and help, now we have our dream home! read more

I bought a home last year that needed a lot of work. Having been burned by contractors before, I decided to get the kitchen done first as a trial run and then proceed from there. It's pretty small and shouldn't have been too hard of a job, but very few companies wanted to take the job because apparently there was no money in it. Advanced Builders and Contractors was one of the few contractors who agreed to come and take a look at the project. Nick came to my house on time and was very easy to talk to. I walked him through what I wanted and he was able to answer any and all questions I had with no BS. I hired him to do the kitchen and he completed the job so well that I decided to hire ABC for the rest of the renovation. They gave me a detailed proposal with a breakdown of my payment plan which was extremely reasonable and didn't try to jerk me around. I never thought a contractor like this could exist but I was wrong. I would use them again in a heartbeat. read more

My mom had been looking to remodel our house for the past 2 years. We were hesitant because my I heard some awful things about remodels gone wrong. After meeting with several general contractors to receive bids to remodel my house I decided to sign with Advanced Builders and Contractors because since the very first initial meeting I found the project manager to be very honest with me. He answered every question in detail and left nothing unanswered. The project manager pointed me to the right direction as to where to buy my material. He even made the time to come with me. My house was very old fashioned and quite frankly falling apart. I knew I had to modernize it. I wanted a light colored house so I went with a faded gray look. For my shower I added a shower bench and a niche. I added recessed lights with a dimmer. My experience with the men who worked in my house was amazing! I barely even noticed they were here some of the time. They were very clean and professional. For great quality work give Advanced a call! You will be happy you did! They are so accommodating and do not pressure you into pulling the remodel trigger before you are ready! read more

I wanted to do a tech update and remodel to my home in Brentwood. The home was a bit outdated for my style. The ABC team was able to handle everything. I had a designer that I wanted to use, but they didn't pan out and ABC hooked me up with another designer who did an amazing job. They worked together well, so my experience was very easy. Nick kept me up to date as far as their progress, his experience as a General Contractor made me feel at ease, he really knows what he's doing. We opened the space up and did a lot up updates, including the pool which needed to be updated and repaired. The end result is exactly what I wanted and I didn't have to stay out of my home longer than estimated which I was nervous about. Everything turned out great! Worth every penny! read more

We couldn't be happier with the experience that we received from this remodeling contractor. They handled everything for us from beginning to end. This was a massive undertaking for us since we were living in our house during the remodeling process. They helped us pick out all of our bathroom and kitchen products. You can't even compare our old kitchen to the new kitchen that these people designed for us it's like night and day. The whole team was fantastic to work with throughout the duration of our remodeling. They were consistently on time, and respected our families busy day to day busy schedule. What I liked about each of the contractors that came out was that we didn't need to hold their hand or explain what needed to be done. They pretty much understood the concept of what had to be done and kept quiet and did their work without interrupting us. Because we were living in our house and our family had nowhere to go we needed to save one of the bathrooms to be able to shower in until the two other bathrooms got finished. Most of the other contractors we meet with didn't want to have anything to do with this because I just kept pushing us to do all three bathrooms at the same time. We had some hiccups in the middle of the project because we didn't receive our toilets on time but that was our mistake not the contractors. Other than that it was pretty smooth sailing. Because our bathroom remodel was somewhat unusual and had to incorporate closing off an additional wall I like to thank them extra for that because they had to do the work, double so we could live in the house. We would highly recommend this contractor for anyone who's looking to remodel their bathroom or kitchens. We are already thinking about doing an adu project next and will surely reach out to this company once we are ready to proceed forward. read more

The team at ABC exceeded our expectations. Our Hollywood Hills home kept its 60's charm yet looks fresh and modern. Nick managed every contractor and made sure everything was done to our specifications and a high quality standard. Major remodel, updates throughout including smart home and security features. Our architect and designer worked alongside Advanced Builders the entire process, ensuring the details were perfect. Nick was easy to work with, always had a professional and can-do demeanor, and explained everything. I really felt like our home was his priority during the time we worked together. We work in the real estate industry and definitely know a lot of great contractors in the area. But when we decided to do our own home we decided to use advanced builders. Even before starting our building plans we called them to get a jump start on how it would be best to approach our renovation. They were able to tell us who we should contact for an architect. With the help of the architect and our contractor we were able to minimize the corrections that we needed with the city. This sped up the process and minimize the corrections that we had to deal with the city. When our building plans were approved we already had met with everyone that would be working on our house. By the time we wanted to start demo we had already picked out almost all of our finishing touches. We knew that during the renovation would be very hard to reach so it was great that we were able to pick out all of our finishes ahead of time. Just made it easier for everyone. Because the project was in a historic district we had to deal with some setback and design issues. And again our contractor and architect made the process so easy for us. They would always come up with two or three different design solutions so that it would make it easier for us to pick one. Most of the contractors that we had dealt with in the past wouldn't go above and beyond like that for us. Member of the construction team we interacted with was hardworking and precise. They try to minimize the stress that we had to deal with. Because our time was limited it was great to be able to communicate with them via email and WhatsApp. This was definitely a positive renovation experience. Our contractors proactively tended to issues that otherwise would have been overlooked. They were patients and made sure that we were satisfied with each step of the project. read more

I interviewed a few companies before choosing Advanced. They had the most knowledge and experience out of the one I spoke with. We were renovating a historical home and our architect planed to keep some of the historical features within a modern design. Nick and his team were able to custom design/build build casings, rebuild the roof, and the fireplace so that it kept it's original characteristics. My favorite is the vanishing edge pool and the kitchen. They really did an awesome job. ABC handled every issue well and always provided solutions. I will be calling them if I need anything in the future and would absolutely recommend them. read more

I called Advanced Builders & Contractors in Los Angeles and a gentleman by the name of Gary answered the phone. Initially, he was polite; however, when I asked him if our Tile company could send him a catalog of our products he became very hostile/angry and said that he was going to report us to the FCC. In all my 30+ plus years in the tile industry, I've never encountered someone so rude and obnoxious. I HAVE TO GIVE THIS COMPANY 1 STAR; HOWEVER, I FEEL THAT THEY DESERVE -1 STAR!! I trust Advanced Builders & Contractors wholeheartedly. They really care about their clients and making sure that they're happy. I have worked with them multiple times. And each time you can expect the same grade level of construction. They come to work ready and willing to work. They are professional contractors. They may not be so talkative but you can definitely see that they are result driven. This contractor has done everything for me. They have done room additions for me on hillside projects, they have done swimming pools, and they have also built me new homes. Every once in awhile when I call them for smaller projects they are not able to help right away but eventually they get to my project. I have worked with this contractor for over 10 years on multiple addresses and have referred him to multiple friends and clients. After me and my husband bought our first house we thought we could diy our way through all of the changes we wanted to make. Unfortunately it was something that turned into a never ending money pit that had our house looking like a wreck. Eventually we realized that we needed to have professional come in to get the job done. The search for a general contractor was really eye-opening. Almost every general contractor we spoke to had a different way of remodeling our house. Their general idea of remodeling the house was the same. But they all had their own way of remodeling. One of the general contractors we spoke to said that he would not work with us unless we hired his design company to do a full set of design plans for us. Another general contractor that we spoke to said that our project was too complicated and that we were not a big enough project for him. I don't know how that's possible because our house ended up being about 5,000 ft which encompassed five bedrooms and six bathrooms and everything needed remodeling. And I mean everything needed to be remodeled. Everything from the floors to the cabinets to the windows to the doors, front yard backyard doors patio cover everything. Another general contractor we spoke to who had great reviews, would only work with us if we gave him a $10,000 retainer and again we would have to use his architect and designer to do the plans for us. So it was very refreshing to find advanced brothers and contractors. Because Nick was very easy going and we were able to see eye to eye. His approach was comfortable and wasn't overwhelming. We were able to use our own architect and designer. In fact when we told our architect about Nick he already knew him and expressed to us that he would be a great fit for our home remodeling and addition. From very early on Nick was a great communicator. I remember the first time we got in touch with his company he called us back almost immediately. From very early on we felt extremely comfortable with him and we're able to reach out to him anytime even after work hours. Nick was always understanding of the situation and even when we were not sure about a specific decision or design aspect he would always point us in the right direction. It was extremely frustrating to meet with different general contractors and not being able to find the right one. I'm glad at the end we were able to find Nick. With the knowledge and experience that was displayed, I knew we made the right choice. Now our new home is like the paradise it was always meant to be! read more

The entire ABC team is top notch. Starting with the architect and engineer that they recommended all the way down to the finished carpentry contractors who did all our molding work. These guys definitely know what they're doing. From the very first time we met with our architect and engineer it almost felt like they already knew Nick and his company would do a great job for us. What I liked about all the people that we worked with was that they were all professional and they would really take the time to really explain to us each step of the process and how and when things would get done. I also really like the fact that everything was written down in a contract and there was no guessing of what needed to be done for our construction project. It was really a pleasure to work with everyone especially because we didn't have to micromanage them. When they said they would be there they would be there. We haven't had to wait for people to show up. Another great aspect about this company is that they are really good when it comes to communication. Time something would come up it would text us and keep us in the loop. Throughout the 6-month project they were two times that we went on vacation and these guys really take care of our home. If something was urgent and they needed to get in touch with us they would always either FaceTime us or text us to ask our opinion before they made decisions on their own. Their attention to detail is amazing and they completely transformed our house. Our house today is absolutely beautiful and I'm very pleased. read more

After working with ABC I felt it was definitely a good thing for us. All of the contractors that came from them were talented and gifted in their own way. They all had their specific projects to do. There were many different teams that came and went during our home remodeling project. One set of crew would come and do the foundation then another set came in did electrical then another set of contractors came and did framing. Then another set of contractors came and did our drywall. And so on and on it was really great to see the progress on our home remodeling project. It seems like every week there would be a new set of contractors who would start a new project on our home. In the end yes we had to endure some hardships and pain and living away from home for some period of time wasn't easy. But it was definitely worth it to come back to a brand new home. With updated electrical and plumbing and drywall that didn't have mold. And with bathrooms that you could actually use with showers that actually gave you good enough water pressure and with modern kitchen cabinets and countertops. one thing I can tell you about ABC is that they definitely were not the cheapest I think actually the more the most expensive bid we got. But there were also the most complete from beginning to end. Starting with a quote that they give us, everything was included, there was nothing missing and they weren't trying to up-sell us at a later point. Everything that we had asked for was in the original bid. It was written properly and it did included all aspects of what was needed to complete this home remodeling project. A lot of the other builders that we spoke to did give us bids but they were either missing scopes of work, or for one reason or another things didn't seem quite right. I'm sure that they were also honest but ABC was a little bit different because it felt like they would do a great job on the project and would be a full service team for us. It's been about 6 months since we have moved into the house. And it feels great that things work properly, things look good and you can tell that ABC put in good quality products and used quality contractors to put the whole thing together. I would recommend them foe sure!! read more

After getting multiple quotes we finally found this wonderful company. Advanced Builders & Contractors is a very professional construction company. Mr. Nick Yahoodain personally managed and oversaw everything and was very courteous and efficient throughout the entire process. They built a second story master suite and detached ADU for our house and it has worked out beautifully! Their work was detail oriented and looks finished, just like a showroom would look. We received excellent suggestions for design ideas as well as materials to be used etc. from Nick. We chose all the finished materials (flooring, cabinets, mirrors, lighting, etc.) and had Nick's team installed everything. They were great at listening and making sure everything was to our liking. Great experience. I definitely recommend using them for all your major home construction projects. I recommend them to a family member for their home and they are already loving the experience. Nick was recommended by two of our neighbors and working with him on our garage remodel could not have been easier. You hear horror stories of people working with contractors who aren't responsive, don't deliver on time, and go over budget. Nick is the exact opposite. He kept us up to date on every step of the process, was realistic about completion times, and helped us make decisions on how to invest our budget. He's honest, straightforward, and has wonderful relationships with his sub-contractors. They were all polite, responsible, and experts in their crafts. You can tell they enjoy working for Nick and that there is a lot of mutual respect. Our project turned out better than we could have hoped. Hillside construction is very tough to do. We had no idea as we were new homeowners, and we were not ready to do any hillside construction because it was just so complicated. When we reached out to advanced builders and contractors. They were one of the few contractors who actually took the time and explained the process to us. They kept telling us that we were too early for them and we just simply couldn't understand why. That's when Nick jumped on a call with us and said that in order for him to be able to build a hillside home it was necessary for us to do these reports. We thought that he was over exaggerating the details but we soon came to find out that he was absolutely right and that in order for the structural engineer and architect to move forward they would need those reports. Once we had all our ducks in a row I had all the reports we were ready to speak to the architect and engineer. By then the architect and engineer had already came up with several feasible layouts for the new house. Which we had already agreed to so in a way it actually worked out for our benefit because as we were doing these reports the architect and engineer were already working on these different home layouts for us. Let me just tell you that it was a stressful proejct for us because we were bombarded with so many questions. But just like any other story it worked out eventually. One good thing about Nick was that he was always there for us to ask any question. Whenever we got stuck with something that we didn't understand or know what to do we would call him and he would tell us how to proceed. Once we were successful in getting our final plans stamped by the city we started construction right away with Nick and his crew. And even then we still have to make a bunch of other decisions for example what kind of doors we wanted, what kind of tile we wanted for the pool, what kind of cabinets we wanted and so many other choices that I don't want to remember. Nick and his crew did great job on our house. I don't think I'll ever build a hillside home ever again. But if I do I'll definitely go back to advanced builders. read more

I usually never write reviews but since it took so long to find a reliable contractor it's worth it. We had been thinking about remodeling our home for several years now. At one point we reached out to several general contractors but then we got cold feet and we stopped the process. We came back to the idea of remodeling the home again when we saw that there was no way to repair some of the things that we were up against so we had to completely remodel the entire home from scratch. We reached out to several contractors. Most of the contractors that we reached out to would send out a project manager what we never met with the owner. When we reached out to advanced builders and contractors we actually met with Nick the owner. He was experienced genuine and you could tell he knew his stuff. Working with advanced builders and contractors and Nick was a good experience. Nick was always easy to reach. And he was very well connected. There were a couple of instances where we had to reach out to building a safety again to be able to pull a specialty permit which we thought would take months, but Nick was able to do it with his expeditor in a matter of couple of days. As of course with any project there are unexpected surprises. When we were digging to do our room addition we found out that part of the existing home didn't have any foundation or footing. And again we thought that this would be a huge delay with the city inspector and building and safety. Once again Nick was able to communicate with the structural engineer I come up with a solution fairly quickly. And again we avoided having months of delays. Because of the surprises the project went a little above our initial budget. But I'm glad we built the house in a safe manner. Although Nick had to charge us for the extras he was always fair and didn't gouge us. If you're going to undertake a whole house remodeling project I highly recommend you contact advanced builders and contractors. After working so closely with Nick it now feels like he's part of the family. Will definitely be inviting him over for our housewarming party. read more

As a DIY handyman myself I know quality work when I see it. I wasn't able to remodel my own kitchen as it was beyond my own skills, so I decided to hire Advanced Builders, and Contractors to accomplish what I couldn't. I was considering remodeling my kitchen for a few years and just never had the money to. When I was finally able to afford it I was so spooked about hiring a contractor. Every story I heard was so terrifying! Everyone I knew remodeled got ripped off, the contractor did a horrible job and had to redo the project, or simply took their money and never showed up. I went on a couple different website to read reviews and watch client testimonials. After meeting a couple of them I decided to sign a contract with Advanced Builders and Contractors. They had great reviews and when I asked if they can take me to a few of their completed and ongoing projects, they did not hesitate! They immediately agreed. We ended up remodeling our kitchen, back yard, and added a new laundry room. Their crew was so respectful, clean, and always on time. Living in your home through construction can be a little bothersome and disturbing. Not to mention that you have no privacy but ABC's crew gave me as much privacy as possible and also disturbed me as little as possible since I work from home. The quality and craftsmanship Advanced provides is just superb! If you are looking for a good, honest, and trustworthy contractor definitely call Advanced Builder's and Contractors! They made what I thought would be a horrible and dreadful experience into a marvelous, easy going one! I'll certainly be contacting them down the road for all my remodeling projects. All in all, I was thoroughly satisfied with their work ethic, promptness and punctuality, and most importantly their character, which for me is most important. Your home is a sacred placed and i don't believe in allowing people to work in my home unless they have outstanding character and positive/professional attitudes. Thanks for all the help fellas, I will be using your services again in the not so distant future! read more

I began my search for a general contractor on google and yelp. Once I found 4 that were rated well, and were located in Los Angeles. I reached out to them and started the process. I then researched google for different remodeling ideas and finally came across a few that I loved, so I sent them over to Advanced Builders and Contractors. Our project manager was Sam. He was always in touch with us, and from day one we felt comfortable with him. We were upfront with him and told him our budget, in return he was able to get us almost everything we asked for! My new kitchen consists of semi custom cabinets, beautiful countertops, and new wood flooring. Im very pleased with all the work. The only negative aspect of the project was that they were not able to start on time and we had to delay the work for 1 week, but other than that everything else was good. Their crew was a great they were very respectful and hard workers. They made it to work on time everyday and cleaned as much as they could every day. They were very careful not damage anything. Overall I am very satisfied. read more

The best way I can explain my experience with this company is that everything was done marvelously. One thing Nick promised us from day one is that we will get custom work. That's exactly what we received - custom remodeling in all matters of the project. Nick helped us hire a custom cabinet maker. They did custom kitchen cabinets, linen closets and our bathroom vanities. Next we needed custom doors and windows since our house was so old and we had to fit all sizes, so once again Nick helped us hire a custom door and window maker. Since we have a large space and the flooring runs through pretty much both top and bottom level and we didn't want to rip out the old woods, we had to hire someone to make us new custom flooring to match the old one that they had put in close to 90 years ago. We also ended up redoing all of our electric lines, plumbing lines, drain lines and gas lines. Nick helped us hire a plaster specialist who was able to duplicate the plaster texture that they had done many years ago. He also was able to help us find the company to duplicate the old plaster base and ceiling molding. Because this was such an old house and large house we had to get the right contractor to be able to do custom remodeling work. Nick was able to find us all the local specialists who work on older homes and are able to duplicate the quality and craftsmanship of what they had used earlier on. We had a lot of woodwork which needed to be customized not just installation but also custom making the actual moldings from scratch. One of the best things about Nick was that he had the answers to a lot of our questions. But what I like most about him is that he didn't get scared from a challenge and in fact pursuited head-on. If there was something that he didn't know he wouldn't just say well that's not my problem. He would go out of his way to help us find the right person or company to be able to do that. I'm truly grateful that we were able to find Nick and his company to be able to help us renovate this property. The house looks marvelous but the best thing about it is that you can't tell that it was done now it still looks like it was built 100 years ago. What Nick was able to do for us was that he gave us great ideas to be able to keep the old charm of the house but still update the house where we have a smart home and smart thermostat and the ability to be able to control a lot of different aspects from our phones or tablets. I truly believe that we spent a premium on this renovation. But it was definitely worth it because the house looks marvelous and the property values since we have done the renovation have gone through the roof. Nick was definitely the most expensive contractor that we had interviewed but he was also the most understanding and the most caring. Also another great thing about him was that he was always accessible to us. Whether we called him, texted him or emailed him he would always get back to us immediately. I have heard of horror stories from other clients and contractors. I'm glad that this was not our experience. read more

Like the old saying goes there's many ways to skin a cat. I think the same goes for the construction industry. There's many ways to build a home. Some construction companies claim their design and build while others do just pure construction. Other companies claim that they have their own in-house designers and architects. While many others just specialize in doing the actual construction and providing material labor. There are so many moving parts that its sometimes overwhelming. I have to do a lot of research to really find out what I wanted to build and who would be the best person to do it. I spent numerous hours online reviewing different websites talking to defense contractors and architects and eventually it was almost like I was putting my own team together to build this house. The process wasn't always comfortable and didn't always make sense but somehow it all came together. Even the referrals I got from friends and family didn't always pan out. Because you would talk to an architect that a friend of mine used and he would say that he doesn't specialize in luxury homes, or you would speak to contractor that family member use and he would say that he doesn't specialize in new construction and he does simple remodels. So the lesson I learned is just because a contractor or an architect is a good fit for one of my family members, that doesn't necessarily mean that they will be the best contractor for me. So just like anything else in life when it comes to a important decision I think it is just a filtering process that you have to do to be able to find what works best for you. I can tell you from my experience not just with building a home but in life the best connections I have ever made with any professional is been that we have things in common and we clicked almost immediately. And that holds true here. As soon as I met the architect I ended up ultimately using we knew he would be a good fit because he was able to work on our project right away and his estimate was decent. The same is true with advanced builders. I think within the first several meetings we had with Nick I knew that he would ultimately be our contractor or at the very least it would be a extremely competitive bidder. I'm glad I took my time and interviewing different contractors because it was only after then that I was able to truly understandtheir pricing, method, and ultimately what I would be getting for my money. There are so many variations with a different types of contractors and so many things that they offer. Some to your benefits and some to your disadvantage. I encourage all homeowners to be wise and do their homework before you embark on such a journey I highly recommend you review and talk to multiple contractors. read more

I had an addition put on to my house I used Advance. It was a huge project and I am happy with the end result. Advanced was pleasant to work with and always had our interest in mind throughout the project. Since our project required cassions and lots of metal steel beams it wasn't a regular project we could just hand over to any general contractor. I guess I never really understood that a hillside project required so much more time and attention. Add to that all the other professional involved like the inspectors, architect, engineers, soil guys, framers, foundation contractors, and more it kind of freaks you out. But im happy to say at the end, Advanced took care of everything for us, and made the process as pleasant as possible. The house looks seamless now and you can't even tell there was an addition put on. It's like it was always there. Thanks Advanced! read more

Being new to the area we had a wish list of things we wanted done to our home -- an addition in the kitchen, a complete remodel of the master bathroom, main bedroom to create a master suite, and a guest house, update the bathrooms throughout, and create a deck with a pool in the back. Research lead me to choosing ABC as our general contractor, with all the good reviews. I say FIVE STARS -- whenever something came up, their team worked to find a solution as quickly as possible, and to save money where we could. All the workers were friendly and communicative which was very important to me and to the design aspects. It didn't matter if it was 11pm, if we called they came, I can't tell you many contractors who would be as courteous. They modernized my home just the way I wanted within my budget. And all of their contractors were very professional and highly skilled -- exceptional work. The team was very informative and helpful when it came to making choices I wasn't too sure of. Everyone worked time efficiently and they cleaned after themselves throughout the whole process. Would re-hire and I highly recommend to anyone ABC for home renovations and construction! read more

I just remodeled my home and I love it! The remodel took place in 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, my kitchen, living room, and dining room. This was a big job. I wanted to hire a company I could trust and do the job right. I had met with about 7 different contractors, but I decided to go Advanced Builders and Contractors. Before hiring them, I researched companies online to make sure I went with the right company. I read many reviews, watched many of their videos, and had asked to speak to a couple of clients they worked with prior. I liked Nick because he responded quickly and seemed trustworthy. I'm glad I went with them because the work came out beautifully! My home now has a new modernized look with custom shelves; racks in my walk-in closet; dark chocolate colors in the kitchen; easier access into the pantry with pull out shelves; lazy Susan for the rest of my cabinets; hardwood throughout the entire home, and recessed lighting and light dimmers. We were surprised to see how many restrictions we had in Beverly Hills that we don't have in Los Angeles. But nick made the whole process easier than expected! I love the outcome of my project and will be recommending them to all my family and friends! read more

If you've been in the market and looking for a general contractor you know how hard it is to find a professional remodeling company that can take care of your general construction needs. When I first started out I didn't think it would be so hard to find the trustworthy contractor for our room addition. I mean how it can it be you review a set of plans and you set up an appointment with the homeowner and you can either do this scope of construction or you can't. You either have experience building a home or you don't. Why do so many of these contractors play games. After a long extensive search of looking for a construction company. I was able to find advanced builders and contractors. I emailed them and they called me back and set up an appointment. After meeting with Nick we were rest assured that we had found a reputable contractor. Advance builders and contractors are a group of professional contractors who were able to perform the necessary remodeling projects that we gave them. Our project consisted of adding new elements and remodeling the rest. So we had to find the right contractor who would be able to build some of the rooms from scratch. But at the same time he had to be able to remodel our existing kitchen and bathrooms. He had to be able to frame and install new doors and windows and also be able to reinstall some of our existing windows. It was really a good feeling to be able to communicate with a contractor who took you seriously I really cared about the project and wanted everything to work out. They will able to understand our plans and more importantly able to deliver liver a beautiful project. If you or your family are considering a remodeling contractor I will definitely consider using advanced builders and contractors for your home. read more

They completed the given tasks smoothly. they helped walked me through the process when I had question about the renovation. They were attentive and efficient with the project. If your looking for a good construction crew you found them. The only negative thing I can say about them is that they were about 3 weeks late on finishing the project. But considering they got all this work done, and were able to deal with so many issues. I would still recommend them. I will for sure contact them any future projects. Wonderful job to say the least. read more

I don't have a lot of experience when it comes to construction and remodeling. The only thing I remember is we remodeled our kitchen once when I was a teenager still living at home and it was a horrible and difficult experience. The contractor was a complete pain in the butt and show up for work one or two days and then disappear for weeks. So when I told my parents that thinking of remodeling my home that reminded me of that experience. One thing my parents mentioned to me is that to make sure I have a clear written contract with everything spelled out. Including having a clear understanding when it comes to payments and timelines. They also informed me that it was a good idea to keep a percentage of the money until everything was completely done and we passed all our inspections. I was very candid with the contractors I met. I told them what my expectations were and that I wanted to have a clear contract with everything that we had discussed for this substantial home remodel. When I spoke to some of the contractors it seemed like I was talking to a wall. I was very clear in the meetings. But it seemed like when they email the contracts they had forgotten what we spoke about. Advanced builders definitely blew me away. They listen to my concerns and gave me a contract to fit the scope of my remodel. Even after we signed the contract I added some more aspects of the job they didn't flinch, and we're happy to have more to do. Hiring advanced photos was definitely a good decision. But I certainly wouldn't want to remodel out of the home and the near future. There's only decisions you have to make. And so many things you have to pick out like bathtubs and toilets and cabinets and so much more it drives you crazy. Although I appreciate what advanced builders did for me. I wouldn't necessarily want to remodel anything ever again. Like most things get what you pay for. And I was certainly the case here. I got all sorts of different prices from the very cheap to the very expensive contractor for this remodeling project. I went with advanced builders because they were somewhere in the middle and seemed to be good at what they do. I hope this review has been helpful for anyone looking to remodel their home. read more

I want to recommend Advanced Builders and Contractors. They are true professionals. It was a pleasure having ABC and their team in my home. After meeting with 3 highly rated local LA general contractors. We choose Advanced Builders and Contractors. I chose ABC to remodel my kitchen, living and dining room. It was obvious that they take their job seriously. I have worked with many contractors in my line of work and rate them among the top in their field. Some of the important details to me were that they were on time, their crew was respectful and they return calls promptly. They gave me change orders before the work proceeded, the project was always clean at the end of the day and they always answered my questions with interest and respect. Advanced Builders and Contractors is NOT your average contractor. I blindly recommend them! read more
