There are not enough stars to give Catie for what an amazing job she did. We were out of town when a tragedy happened and she was the calm in the middle of our storm. She was at the house within a few hours, helped guide us through what steps we needed to take and was empathetic to the emotional turmoil we were dealing with as well. All the 5-star reviews are well-deserved! My father, a retired physician, passed away last year and I had to travel from California to Arizona to clean his house. That's when I was presented with the daunting task of disposing of his practice's medical waste - everything from syringes, blood collection tubes, acupuncture needles, medical supplies and medical samples. All the usual stuff that comprises a medical practice. I called around to a few services around town in Glendale and Phoenix, AZ but Catie from ABS was the ONLY person who called me back immediately. I heard back from two other medical disposal services whose services didn't match my needs but they also recommended "Call Catie at ABS". And, boy, was I glad I did. Catie was wonderful, patient, understanding and extremely fair in her explanations and pricing. Using only a picture of the cabinet where I had consolidated all of my father's medical waste, she was able to figure out how much her service would cost, and it was fair and competitive. In less than an hour, her associate, Gilbert, came by and packed everything up. Although a man of few words, Gilbert proved to be charming and sweet, a true professional whose main concern was to solve my problem. A day later, even though I no longer needed further help, Catie stopped by to introduce herself to me. She thanked me for calling her and gave me information about her other services, including general cleanup services. She even collected medical appliances that she felt could be donated to organizations and individuals who she had helped in the past. My ex partner committed suicide, a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head in a large shared bedroom. I had no idea what I was supposed to do. I left Catie a message and she got back to me within an hour or so. She was so compassionate about my situation, and very understanding. First and foremost she asked how I was doing and how I was managing everything. Her sympathy and emotion made me trust her that much more. She assured me she would do her best to salvage what we could and she would clean up the scene. I met with her that day to drop off a key to the apartment and she went right to work the very same night. She kept in contact with me the entire time and let me know if she had any questions. As someone who is still grieving, she also answered any insurance related questions that I had for her. She is very knowledgeable and very thorough. She also kept in contact with me regarding what items she might be able to salvage, and what absolutely had to go. She wrote me a detailed list of everything that unfortunately was damaged out. She met my old apartment complex's criteria for repair and did that all on her own. The complex manager said she did a great job as well. I am sad I had to contact her through such sad circumstances, but she did a wonderful job and I will be recommending her and ABS if anyone needs. I am disappointed in this firm. Unlicensed. Had a problem with a carpet install - the firm fixed it but came out at 8:30 PM to do so. This firm did not install a transition piece between the carpet and the kitchen linoleum and never returned to install it. It would have been an inexpensive fix considering the firm was paid about $35000 by an insurance company. Even after being contacted by the insurance company and the attorney that referred us to Advanced this company STILL did not call to even TRY to arrange the installation of the transition piece. This firm threatened to lien the property for non-payment even though they knew the insurance company was in the process of trying pay the firm. I would not even think about using this firm again for anything. read more

I can confirm that Catie deserves the glowing reviews here on Yelp. Someone left a mattress with "bedbugs" written on it, set against the alleyway wall of my parent's house in Phoenix. I know how bad bedbugs can be, but confirmed with others on Reddit (https://www.reddit.com/r/Bedbugs/) that there was a risk the animals in the backyard could lure the bedbugs toward the house. I wanted to deal with the situation quickly and minimize the risk of contaminating myself or my vehicle which is why I searched for hazardous waste removal on Yelp. Out of four options, only two responded that they'd do it (which just confirms to me how bad bedbugs are - even hazardous waste companies will avoid them!). Advanced Bio Solutions was the only company that could do it right away. Catie was incredibly accommodating given that I called her around 11pm and she was able to remove the mattress before 8am the very next day! She took payment over the phone and confirmed the mattress removal for me by texting pictures. Compare that to waiting over the weekend just to hear from the city about my options, and more than likely not even get the mattress removed until much later (it's the weekend before Christmas); I think Advanced Bio Solutions was clearly the right choice and well worth the small expense for my family's piece of mind. read more

My experience with ABS was fantastic under less then ideal circumstances My son passed unexpectedly and was found on Friday night. His apartment required a deep deep cleaning, for many reasons, that an ordinary cleaning service would never have been able to handle. Catie and her helper came out on the weekend and did great job getting the apartment to a point where we could go in and take care of matters. My experience with Advanced Bio Solutions and its owner, Catie, could not have been better. She and her company were, and continue to be, a true blessing. I had to go to Phoenix to clean up an empty, rat-infested condominium that had belonged to my mother. Regular house-cleaning companies wouldn't go near it. The condo was not only totally disgusting, it was dangerous. I needed an expert who knew everything about getting rid of biohazardous filth. That's when I found Catie (on Yelp, no less). From the first time we spoke on the phone, I knew she understood how to handle the situation. She gave me several pointers and agreed to meet me at the condo a short time later. What struck me most about Catie was that she's so proactive, but never in an overbearing or disrespectful way. She tells you what needs to be done, how it should be done, how long it would take, and how much it would cost. And she was willing to get started right away, which was a huge relief. Catie and her very nice associate spent several days (including one 18-hour stretch) disposing of everything in the condo, from the towels and personal items to the toilets and carpeting. They disinfected the place from top to bottom. They checked the appliances and cleaned the vents in the ceilings and the walls. They even carefully packed some of my mother's more valuable possessions that I had overlooked, and purchased and installed new toilets, which I expected I'd have to hire a plumber to do. Once the cleaning was finished, Catie ran an industrial air filter in the unit for 24 hours to improve the air quality, too. She even volunteered to keep monitoring the condo for me until I could return to Phoenix and finish renovating it. Her service has just been amazing. Our Bella (dog) was diabetic and just passed. I later had a very hard time finding a facility to take the used syringes. Apparently, vet offices no longer take them. I had 2 containers that I needed to dispose of. I tried reaching out to friends on Facebook, called numerous places and was given the run around.
