Today is Earth Day and we decided it was time to get rid of old electronics that have been taking up space in our closet shelf. Due to COVID, the city of Phoenix was not offering recycling drop off events so I found this company through an internet search. They take nearly all types of electronics: computers, monitors, radios, DVD players, motors, rechargeable batteries and backup drives, printer cartridges, old power cords, etc. and all for free, but with a small charge for printers, scanners and CRT monitors. I had a scanner/printer that I no longer wanted and that was $5, my monitors, tablets, power cords, were all taken off my hands for free. They also wipe your hard drives. The drop off process was easy, sign a short form in the front office with your contact info and what you are dropping off, pay a fee if needed, then drive around the back and an associate unloads your trunk. They do not have pick up for individuals but do have corporate pickup services. The staff were very friendly and pleasant. read more

Nice and easy. As I cleaned out my house, I did some research and learned that offloading CRTs often comes at a price - so I wasn't surprised to hear the same thing when I arrived here and wasn't bothered to hang onto those for disposal with the city of Phoenix at no cost of my own (up to two at a time). Beyond that, I offloaded a bunch of computer equipment with R3Ewaste, and it was as simple as a Goodwill drop off. We were closing a field office with typical ewaste (Monitors, keyboards, handful of old desktops and servers). The people at R3waste were responsive to emails and phone calls, as I worked on the planning from California. On the clean up day, the R3 team arrived on schedule and removed over 2000 pounds of ewaste for us in just over 30 minutes. They were also able to do all this good work at no cost to us! read more

We've used this company to pick up old technology at work a couple of times and it's always been a good experience. While they typically charge a small fee to pick up TVs or printers, they agreed to waive the fee since we were handing over so much stuff (I estimated 10' cubed). read more

R3EWaste was just what we were looking for. We had many old computers and servers that had confidential data stored on them. I called and they came out the next day. They destroyed the hard drives on site and showed us they were unusable. They took all the computers and other electronics plus the drives with them. Scott and John were extremely nice. Recently did some spring cleaning and found that we had a ton of out of date electronics and broken electronics around our house. Finding out that R3EWaste is a free service was awesome. I dropped off monitors, stereos, old cables, headphones, laptops, printers... it was years of electronic equipment that would have otherwise gone in the garbage - now recycled. The staff was very informative and helpful in the drop off process. I signed some paperwork and I was off. I wish more people knew about their service and I hope they continue to grow. I called and emailed R3EWASTE and received no response. I wanted to bring by my older now working tv for recycling. This in spite of their claim that always return their calls and emails. Now I gave to find another group that can accept my recycling of my older lcd tv. read more

R3Ewaste is amazing! I was doing a little year end cleaning and had a few tube TVs, old monitors, printers, gaming stations, etc. that I wanted to dispose of properly. I called in advance and Molly was able to answer all of my questions. When I arrived (same afternoon I called), Graham gave me a tour of the facility and a breakdown of what happens to the electronics. I had been looking for a donation center that would come to my house and pick up a large LCD TV and I was frustrated that no one wanted it. I finally came across R3EWaste and talked to them about their program and how they donated funds to Phoenix Children's Hospital from the recycling process. While the have to charge a nominal fee for this service, I found them very friendly and worked with us to pick it up in a timely fashion. Great job! read more
