I'm going to end up spending way more money fixing their "repairs" than I paid them to fix my car. I contacted HCS asking if I could drop a 1991 van off to be looked over to see what it would need to be "roadtrip ready" as I planned on taking it on a cross country trip. After my van was dropped off the next communication I had was that there were some parts on the steering Column that needed to be replaced. I assumed that since the only issue brought up was the steering column and what I paid to fix that the van would be okay to drive. Upon picking it up nothing was said to me other than "the van is ready to go" and I drove it to the gas station to find that a large hole had been drilled in the gas tank. I don't know how HCS charged me to fill up my tank and never mentioned that it does not hold gas. Nothing was listed on the "complimentary inspection" which I know now is because there is no way it was performed. The complimentary inspection was on the receipt so I assumed that it had been done but it was not. Before dropping the van off it had functioning turn signals and a functioning gas gauge and now it does not. All of the old parts that HCS replaced are sittingspread around my van and not disposed off. Also, the steering column wasn't even fully reassembled upon picking the van back up. There are 2 large plastic pieces that were not put back on leaving wiring exposed. The leftover bags, boxes, and sticky notes from new parts were also left strewn about my van for me to pick up. I didn't figure that it is normal protocol to leave trash in customers vehicles but maybe I am wrong. For the service side of things I am also quite displeased. Every deadline I was promised was missed and this was not communicated with me. I had to call HCS to see where things were each time days after we passed the date it was promised to be done by. My biggest gripe is that since the ignition cylinder was replaced the new keys do not fit the locks on the doors. I cannot lock or unlock the van now. When I called to ask about the keys no one could tell me if the old keys are still around or not and I was told that I would receive a call back. To no surprise I did not hear back. All said I am clearly disappointed with this as I feel like the quality care that I have seen taken on other vehicles was not spent on mine. I know its an old van but to have it not fully re-assembled, parts not working that were working before it was dropped off, and having trash left in my vehicle, is really just a huge letdown.

When I would accelerate the engine light would flash. They found multiple issues under the hood.. my coolant was leaking, I needed new spark plugs, coils and a new valve cover gasket. My oil was also coming out where the spark plugs are, to show me this they even texted me photos of the spark plugs and the engine. They broke down how much each thing would cost, even how much the labor would cost. Overall the cost is what I would have expected for labor plus parts and diagnostics. As you can see from the photos they provided me, there is oil on the spark plugs (not good!!!) Thank you for doing such a thorough check and when I need work done, I will be bringing back to them.

They tried to claim it was like this when I brought it in. I produced a picture of my vehicle two weeks before they received it, nothing wrong with the paint job. Their employee Levi told me that my vehicle was dirty and the dirt remaining on my vehicle for six months caused erosion to the finish. So I asked him if they had knowledge that dirt remaining on a vehicle for six months would destroy the finish, why not give it a quick rinse upon receiving it? He told me that wasn't their job. Yesterday I took it to a paint expert and his diagnosis was not that the paint was eroded by dirt remaining on the vehicle for six months. He said it was chemical overspray that got onto my vehicle. I spoke to Kenneth the manager, sent the photo of my vehicle with no issues two weeks prior to them receiving it and they still refused to take responsibility and fix this mess they created. The first picture is my vehicle two weeks prior to them receiving it. A little bit dirty, but no damage to the paint. The next 3 pictures show the damage they caused to my finish. Whatever they got on it cause the clearcoat to erode and ruined my paint job. It's going to cost me thousands to repair this damage. I am heartbroken over this and would not recommend anyone bringing their vehicle to them for repairs!

We took it back to Firestone and they said the mechanic forgot to balance the tires. It was done, but the car kept shaking. Firestone said that was the best they could do and felt it wasn't related to the work they did. We took it to Brad's who said the tires were out of balance. They charged us $40 and the car handled perfectly after they fixed it. This is the second time we went to Brad's, thinking we needed new brakes. They inspected and cleaned the brakes, saying they didn't need replacement but just a cleaning. We didn't realize our tires lost a lot of tread and needed replacement (we drive a lot). We had them replaced and were extremely pleased with the friendly service, competent repairmen, and quality of the new tires purchased. Plus, it didn't take as long as we expected. I bought the vehicle with two existing windshield chips, and my salesman explicitly told me to wait 30 days before filing a claim so it would be covered. It took three separate visits to finally get a straight answer regarding why it wouldn't be fixed, eventually being told that since the glass required replacement, they "don't cover that"--a direct contradiction to what was promised at signing. ​Tire Service: I experienced the same inconsistency regarding a nail in my tire--an item supposedly covered by my warranty. It took multiple visits to get any clarity, only to be told they "don't plug tires anymore" and that I would have to take it elsewhere to pay out of pocket. ​Missing Equipment: After a recent service appointment, my lug nut key is now missing.
