Extremely knowledgable in her field and runs the class efficiently and prepares you. The ACLS class, itself, is hands on and even...dare I say...fun? If it is your first time, you should definitely take the review class on the first day with her and get prepped for day two. Would definitely recommend the class with Mary Ann and I plan on coming back for my recerts.

Usually, I visit the Peterson location, but visited the 38th/Halsted location because it's closer to home. Don't let the stockyard, industrial location scare you off, or confuse you. The entrance is to the left of the Aquired Taste storefront, on the right of the entrance at there is a keypad to call to gain entrance/buzzed in. Earl is the best CPR instructor hands down. Super informative, helpful and makes learning life saving skills fun. Looking forward to returning in 2 years...hope to see you there, Earl!

Also not to mention he threatened to "allow us to pass the class and not get the certification" and when asked for clearer instructions he said to "respect his age" and that I didn't need to be "difficult". For an MD I'm truly appalled by his behavior.

It's a building used for all sorts of businesses, it's not creepy like someone else said. The instructor, A .Tunde Okunuga, MD, was knowledgable and explained things more in depth than any other CPR class I have taken (and I have taken a lot of them), so I appreciated that. He may be a little old-school but he wants to make sure the students know what's going on and are actually comprehending the material. Overall I would take a class here again.

However, the class I took at the Orland Park location on 2/7/24 at 6pm was my best class experience. I don't recall the instructor's name but her enthusiasm about CPR was top notch. She was professional and thorough and encouraged the participants who were having difficulty. I appreciate that she was respectful of our time. I would recommend this company and instructor!!

I came to Illinois Safety CPR to obtain a Basic Life Support CPR AED certification because my job…read morerequired it, and not my current American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED certification. Its location was within an acceptable driving distance from the west-side of Chicago which is why I chose it. And also its location is an area I am familiar with. ISCPR offers Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Basic Life Support, as well as American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR AED classes. Registering for the class was a simple process. After clicking on the class I needed, a drop down menu appeared with a thirty day span of dates to choose from. And finally, after clicking on my preferred date it took me to the registration page for that particular class. Located within a traffic circle, the easiest way to identify ISCPR is to look out for restaurants Eggsperience Breakfast & Lunch, and Circle Tavern which ISCPR sits in-between. Now as for the class. Due to coronavirus, there were things that we did not do during this course, as well as things we did such as wearing gloves while touching the dummies, and utilizing a Ambu bag instead of doing mouth to mouth. The presentation itself which majority of it was on video was easy to follow and the instructor, Michael was very insightful and welcoming throughout it. I am glad I chose to attend Illinois Safety CPR to obtain my BLS certification. I highly recommend if you are pursuing any of the CPR certifications mentioned. ~Blessings~ Thomas G
