I thought the class was fine, I got what I needed out of it. The building is a little run-down but…read morethat's not the company or the instructor's fault. It's a building used for all sorts of businesses, it's not creepy like someone else said. The instructor, A .Tunde Okunuga, MD, was knowledgable and explained things more in depth than any other CPR class I have taken (and I have taken a lot of them), so I appreciated that. He may be a little old-school but he wants to make sure the students know what's going on and are actually comprehending the material. Overall I would take a class here again.

It was a super quick 2-hour course and the video and demonstrations were solid; however, the actual hands-on practice was very limited. We did not get our own CPR body to work with, just shared one, and we couldn't blow into the masks. Did not practice at all on infants, but did observe the instructor do the CPR and choking techniques on an infant doll. If you want to learn CPR for the first time, this is not going to meet your needs. But I just took the 3-4 hour Red Cross CPR training a few months ago so I feel like this is all I needed to get the AHA card, required for my new agency that prefers AHA. I bought the book when I registered because I thought it was required to buy a copy. I don't think you need to buy it. Definitely don't buy any of the odd "Take the Test Multiple Times" upgrade, so fishy. The teacher was good, friendly, efficient. He worked around a participant bringing a very active preschooler to class. Patient man, for sure. Bring a hoodie to class as the air conditioner is cold. Nice building, clean and secure. I got free street parking so that was a bonus.

If you need to be CPR certified, I highly recommend Paul's service! I had found out that I had…read moregotten into my program of study at Gateway Technical College much later than my peers had due to Gateway's petitioning process. So when it came time to getting my to do list for clinical requirements, I was very behind! Thankfully, Paul was a life saver (literally! Lol). He was very prompt and insightful via email, and was able to get me in a class within a week and a half of me initially requesting a CPR class. The class itself was the most fun and informational CPR class I have ever taken. Prior to this class I had taken the course 3 other times with various instructors. Paul has a lot of experience in this field and it shows through his teaching! He takes a very real approach to CPR, which was refreshing. Highly recommend!!! Thanks again, Paul! -Katie :)

He's saved lives for a career and knows what he's talking about! I found him to be friendly, thorough, and approachable. He offered a lot of information related to scene safety assessment that you won't find in the book, and he went more into depth on the Heimlich procedure for infants than I'd heard anywhere else before. He spent as much time as needed and made sure we felt confident in the skills. It wasn't about just knowing all the right answers on paper. It was great to learn something new and refresh the skills I'd previously acquired. The class consisted of only 3 students, including myself, all involved in professional childcare. This small-group feel made it seem more personal and gave us more one-on-one from the instructor. I found this having fewer students refreshingly different from a BLS class I'd taken for health professionals through the Red Cross four years earlier. His price was extremely reasonable. Since he didn't have a First Aid Class that night (it was only CPR/AED), and I needed both, he recommended I take the blended learning approach, doing the education/training portion online through AHA and then staying after the CPR/AED class so he could administer the skills assessment. He was accommodating to help me this way and he even loaned students the required books to study. I was able to get the knowledge and certifications I needed through this class and had an enjoyable time doing it!
