I know these certification courses can drag on forever - watching videos, role playing, etc., but he makes it so fun by integrating stories and little acronyms/rhymes to make concepts stick. If you want to be certified in CPR, ACLS, etc., definitely do it at CET with Jim & I promise it will be worthwhile!!

He's saved lives for a career and knows what he's talking about! I found him to be friendly, thorough, and approachable. He offered a lot of information related to scene safety assessment that you won't find in the book, and he went more into depth on the Heimlich procedure for infants than I'd heard anywhere else before. He spent as much time as needed and made sure we felt confident in the skills. It wasn't about just knowing all the right answers on paper. It was great to learn something new and refresh the skills I'd previously acquired. The class consisted of only 3 students, including myself, all involved in professional childcare. This small-group feel made it seem more personal and gave us more one-on-one from the instructor. I found this having fewer students refreshingly different from a BLS class I'd taken for health professionals through the Red Cross four years earlier. His price was extremely reasonable. Since he didn't have a First Aid Class that night (it was only CPR/AED), and I needed both, he recommended I take the blended learning approach, doing the education/training portion online through AHA and then staying after the CPR/AED class so he could administer the skills assessment. He was accommodating to help me this way and he even loaned students the required books to study. I was able to get the knowledge and certifications I needed through this class and had an enjoyable time doing it!

I took the online lecture portion already so I have to take skills in person to receive my BLS provider card. However, once I was rescheduled, they changed my date without asking me if I was available. The customer service rep over email does not even try to understand what I'm trying to tell them. It's beyond frustrating and unprofessional because I can't speak to anyone on the phone. My card expires by the end of the month and they're not allowing me to refund the first online class I took even though their scheduling is so messed up. They were basically having me pay $150 for an online plus in person skills. Another lady I was with while waiting for nothing at the location said she was rescheduled 5 times. 5 times is ridiculous! STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. HORRIBLE SERVICE and will cancel without notice!!!
