I've renewed my BLS/CPR certification here for the last few years and will continue to re-certify here for as long as Karen continues to work. She is honestly the absolute BEST teacher! She offers convenient times and it's super easy to schedule. She is so knowledgeable, passionate about what she does, and she makes the class fun and engaging. I love that the class is hands-on with airbags, AED, and top of the line mannequins that provide feedback so you know how to give CPR correctly. Karen goes above and beyond and I would HIGHLY recommend her class to anyone. Really a phenomenal experience! Sign up you wont regret it! It's not a skill or knowledge base you think you need UNTIL YOU NEED IT in life threatening & pivotal moments, so IMO it's well worth what you pay for. We took the friends and family course being about 7 months pregnant along with my husband and family/grandparents and cannot recommend it enough for new families. Went in for BLS/CPR recertification. Convenient location and dates/times. They offer classes every day! Great for us nurses who need recertification ASAP, but procrastinate and thus can't make it to the hospital's monthly session. The instructor, Karen, was incredible. She is knowledgable, supportive, energetic and also passionate about saving lives and educating the public. The course itself was super! Scheduled for 4 hours, ended early. Karen's method of teaching is clear, concise, engaging, with an emphasis on hands-on skills. She mixes in the theory and concepts flawlessly. Thank you! I had very bad experience. Karen provided cards to everyone but me so I had to email her twice and call her but she wasn't responsive so finally I had to stop by her office few days later. When I finally saw my ecard my last name was misspelled. Now I have to wait for her to get back to me on this one. This is horrible experience. I do NOT recommend her at all!! read more

Windy City CPR is a great place for AED/CPR training. Karen is an excellent instructor. Experienced, thorough, very well organized, and keeps the class focused and moving with demonstrations and essential individual class member participation. Class members hands on working with and understanding of essential CPR and AED techniques is priority. 12/23/16: I was looking to renew my card for a BLS for Health Providers cuz it was due in January. I work in a hospital and the dates for the classes seem to conflict with my schedule. Since i work night shift, it is very hard. I was looking online to see if anyone did classes nearby. Came across Windy City CPR and the lady named Karen Kluss was soo nice and told me that they did classes everyday. I was very happy and wanted to get it done right away. Their prices are very reasonable and she is excellent. She works with you very closely and explains everything. Very educated, personable, enthusiastic, and approachable. I honestly don't do reviews with 5 stars but she deserves it. I humbly would recommend anyone who wants to get their BLS for HP. I can honestly say, it was best two hours well spent. For my licensed daycare, my assistant and I needed to be recertified in CPR/First Aid to be compliant with DCFS standards. After looking at the Red Cross, a lot of the classes were during the daytime during my daycare hours, so I wasn't able to attend them. Then I found Karen through some amazing reviews. She CAME TO MY HOME and recertified both myself and my assistant. She was WONDERFUL. She had state of the art equipment, was extremely knowledgeable, and she worked around my schedule. Also, it was difficult to coordinate our schedules (and by "our" I mean my schedule and my assistant's schedule) and Karen was SO patient and willing to work around our craziness!! Her equipment was SO much better than anything I have ever used in the past. It was state of the art and even had a green light to let you know if your compressions were deep enough for the CPR. We each had our own baby and our own adult to practice on. They were lifelike and extremely helpful. She said she can teach individual classes (great for new parents), entire daycares, businesses, etc. You can never be too prepared! I will be seeing her again in two years for my next recertification! read more

I registered and paid for a BLS for healthcare providers course. I had a family emergency the day prior and reached out to Karen to reschedule as instructed in the company's policy. Despite calling Karen's number & the 800 number multiple times over the past month, as well as reaching out through email and the website contact form, I have yet to receive a response. Ironically, when I had emailed regarding training for the large group practice I'm employed at, I received a response directly from Karen within less than 24hrs.
