I recently had my 2013 Ford Escape in for a transmission rebuild. The owner, Art, did all the work and guaranteed the repair. The car ran great for about three weeks then developed a Klunk once in a while. I went back to Art and told him what was going on, he took the car in the next day and did a complete tear down and examination and replaced everything a second time!! No change! ! Excellent service and the owner is very honest. I asked to add a shift kit upgrade while they repaired my transmission but when he opened the transmission he saw that I already had the upgraded kit installed and didn't need one. Most other places would have charged me for the kit even if I didn't needed it and I would have never known. Not this place, they told me I already had one and I wouldn't need one. I also purchased an upgraded pan online during the repair and didn't have it by the time the repairs were done. The owner told me not to worry about it, that once the new upgraded pan arrived to just bring the truck back that he would install the new pan for free. He kept his promise. Art is phenomenal. I brought my 2012 Hyundai Accent to him because it'd been whining for awhile and was super annoying. I thought it was the tensioner or the transmission. Art brought out his stethoscope and thought it was a bad bearing in my alternator. He jacked the car up, removed the heat shield and discovered that the noise was actually the A/C compressor. He recommended his nextdoor neighbors, MD Automotive, who took care of the problem for me. But, any transmission problems in the future and I will be back to Advance Tranz for sure! I would like to start by thanking ART, this gentleman is a true mechanic that is not trying to take advantage of his customers just to make some extra money. He is very honest and saved me a lot of money. I had went to other mechanics prior and was told that my vehicle was going to need a new transmission which was going to cost me about $1600. I then found Advance Tranz on Yelp and took my vehicle to get diagnosed which he didn't charge for, Art drove my vehicle for about 2/3 min and then told me that before I just assume that it's the transmission for me to change the TPS and see if that helps. I did just that and now my car is running amazing to what it was before. So in all I just would like to thank Art for being a honest and true guy. Art and his fellow mechanics went above and beyond to fix my problem! I have a 2001 Chevy s-10 Blazer that had transmission problems... They rebuilt it and after a few months problems popped up again. I took it back and he did more work and gave it back. Started having problems again and he fixed it one more time. Then it happened again, so I took it back and he said enough is enough! We are replacing this transmission! Keep in mind this is all under warranty and he is losing out of pocket now! I brought my 2013 Challenger R/T in on Saturday to do an exhaust modification. I was prepared to spend $400 to have Magnaflow's installed. The guys who were working offered a solution that would not require me to purchase new mufflers by removing the two resonators in the rear. It sounded amazing and I only paid $105. After driving to work this week, I quickly realized that the interior "Drone" noise at 2000 rpm was too much to handle since I'm on the road 100 miles a day. I called on Tuesday and spoke with Art and found that they still had the resonators that were removed and made an appt. to bring my Challenger back in to have them put back on today. Art was extremely friendly and quickly put them back on and refused to allow me to pay for his time and labor. I really didn't feel right about this, but he would not accept payment. This was my decision to have it done and I wasn't happy with MY decision. This in no way shape or form was their issue. This shop and the people are awesome!
