I'm posting to give a shout out to Ali (shop owner & mechanic) for the wonderful experience I had…read morelast week. I want to get something straight, Ali and I are not related, and this was my first time at his shop under his NEW management. My mechanic at another shop is normally too busy for me to get in when I need him... most times a wait for a day that works for us both. Usually, my vehicle issues can be postponed because we are a two-car family. My mechanic is extremely honest and good at his trade. I noticed Ali was offering a $19.99 conventional oil change up to 5 quarts. I asked how much he would accept if I brought him the oil and filter (full synthetic). Bam, I returned and took him up on that $15.00. During oil change I pointed out that out my four tires outer edges had A LOT more wear compared to the whole tread on each. We discussed the solution(s). He quoted me with labor and parts plus ONLY labor if I brought him the parts. I couldn't believe my eyes the labor cost... at that moment I informed him I couldn't in good conscious pay the amount so at the time to pay up I handed him an extra 15% (not tip but for not charging me a lot for labor). I supplied all the parts. More on Ali. He has an amazing demeanor which is reflected in his smile. He is a great communicator. I believe he is extremely honest. I was a bit nervous at first as are most of us are with an independent shop but they were close to…read morehome and I decided to try my luck. I've seen plenty of customer cars here over the years so I figured that it was worth a try. My 2004 Grand Marquis needed two things repaired, the speed control for the blower and the air suspension compressor. They did the work promptly and at a reasonable price, far better than what the dealership was estimating. Previously I tried the Lincoln dealership in Southgate for the blower not being able to be controlled. It was either on high or off. Their mechanic had the car for 2 days and couldn't find a problem. They said it was working fine and sent me on my way. It failed as I pulled out of their parking lot so I went back. They said I could leave it again for the night and they would look it the next day again. I decided that apparently their mechanic was not too experienced with intermittent blower speed issues even though the problem is highly recognized on Youtube for the Panther platform cars. On my own with Youtube's help I concluded that it was the blower control resistor, as this was a common issue with the Panther platform and decided to take it to Livernois Automotive. Mike and I talked and they replaced the blower resistor and the problem was successfully fixed in addition to the air compressor I needed for the suspension system. Mike and his mechanics are what we look for in mechanics. Honest, dependable, and with reasonable prices. This is now my go-to shop for automotive repairs. Thanks Mike....

He got my vehicles taken care of quickly, and for a fair price. I will definitely be returning for any work needed on my vehicles in the future.
