I had a upstairs toilet that had leaked for a long time. I created a lot of mold on a downstairs wall! Advanced Installations was contracted to remove the mold on the drywall and 2x4 studs behind it! It was a mess. They did a great job! I also contracted with them to replace the 2x4s and drywall! Their crew of Mike and Jim were superb! The work was done quickly, and I am very happy with the result! Tony and Pat kept me informed! I would use Advanced Installations again! read more

My experience with this company was as disappointing. I was recommended to this company by a friend who is a contracting company and neighbor. I thought for sure I had found the answer to my home repair needs. I did not. After waiting for a return to my phone call for a couple of days I was finally contacted by the estimator and we set up a time for him to come to my home. He did tell me that he may be "a little late". The day of our appointment arrived, he called about 15 minutes before the agreed time and said he would be to my home in 30 minutes. He did not arrive until an hour and fifteen minutes after our set time. Then while looking at my home he told me that getting the siding materials for my home was no longer possible. I had already checked this information out and knew that it was possible. I shared this with him. I named a lumber company that could provide it. He told me that that company was no longer in business. He made a phone call there and then and either learned that he could get the product or that the company I mentioned was in business? We walked the house and I gave him the information as to scope of work I was looking for. I asked how far out they were in scheduling. He didn't give me a real answer but did say that they might be able to "fit me in". He would get a quote to me in a couple of days. My quote came a few days later via email and I did accept it via email. I sent a second email and asked when we could get this scheduled/started. Later that day I received a phone call saying he had bad news. The quote sent and accepted was no good. I was quoted the wrong amount and I would be sent a new quote the next day. I received that new quote with the exact same scope of work and wording but this one was hundreds of dollars more. I asked how a mistake made in their office was to become something I should pay for? Needless to say I declined the second quote...and the first. When I spoke to the president of the company I shared my experience with their estimator and the quote situation. They "stand behind their employees". I hope this helps anyone considering using this company. For me, my time is valuable and as is a company's word/quote. read more

I am a little late in writing this as our contract with this company was the end of 2016, but as a woman, I just couldn't let it go. We have a beautiful 140 year old Victorian house in Virginia City, of course we have lead paint and vermiculite all throughout the house. As of my last birthday plus growing up with all the hazards of childhood and above mentioned, I do not have a third eye or any twitches, I am still in good health nor have I licked a lead paint wall in a while. Yet to get anyone, first of all, to come this far, we apparently live in BFE is a test of patience. We had to have some vermiculite removed from our attic before anyone other than our children would go in there to lay insulation. AI was the only company that removed hazardous materials in this area. Only a 616 square foot area ended up being removed. It took way too long, the hubster and i had to juggle schedules to be home for almost 2 weeks. The crew was small only 3 or 4 men, not the friendliest of gentlemen, I figured they worked hard since their lunches took a really long time. Finally, when they were done there must have been a miscommunication as to what day they would show up to take their equipment. The hubster and I were at work, when I can home to find their equipment was gone along with some paint and sheet rock from the walls were they had to tape the plastic protection tarp. This was not my best day, my neighbor came over to tell me they knocked on the door, said a few unfriendly words, walked into my house took their stuff and left without calling the husbter or myself, I work 5 minutes away. We called AI to let them know what had happened they were not too concerned. After a little clean up, I am happy to say the insulation is in and we are almost ready for another chilly winter. read more

He is very knowledgeable, reasonably priced, respectful, and always offers thoughtful suggestions without being pushy. For this project, he came by about three times and did several things: moved the sink and toilet plumbing about a foot to the left (this was my request because I plan to install a handicap-accessible shower in the future), installed a new cabinet and toilet, mounted a mirror with hidden electrical, replaced outdated lighting with recessed lighting, and handled drywall work and prep for paint. Check out the before and after pics! 2) Garbage disposal replacement: I called him on a Friday, and we were able to schedule for Monday. He showed up right on time, finished in about 20 minutes, and cleaned everything up afterward. He's efficient, professional, and just genuinely nice to work with. Our experience was far from the peace of mind promised by the company's slogan, and the consequences of the oversights during our inspection have been costly, frustrating, and stressful. 1. Incomplete Attic Inspection Mr. Neumark failed to inspect the attic entirely because the entrance was located above the washer and dryer in the laundry room. Although the current homeowners gave full consent to move the units--an easy task requiring no more than shifting them five inches--Mr. Neumark refused. Our realtor ultimately moved them without issue, but only after we insisted that the attic be inspected. Even then, the inspector was visibly annoyed that we requested he complete the job. 2. Rodent Infestation Overlooked Despite noting droppings in the garage, Mr. Neumark inaccurately concluded they were old and that there was no active infestation. Within 24 hours of moving in, we discovered a live family of mice in the garage. Additionally, there were mouse droppings in the attic--completely omitted from his report--confirming an active and ongoing rodent problem that should not have been missed. 3. Bathtub Leak Ignored The secondary bathroom's bathtub leaked significantly the first time we used it, causing water damage to the floor. The inspector claimed he could not properly assess it for fear of damaging the facade. However, upon closer inspection, we found it was secured by only six easily removable screws. It took us less than a minute to confirm the leak ourselves. This lack of effort was inexcusable. 4. Structural Oversight A large, gaping hole--about the size of a football--was left unnoticed under the eaves near the back patio door. Nesting birds, feathers, and debris made it clear this had been an ongoing issue, yet it was not mentioned in the report. This type of structural vulnerability should have been immediately flagged by any qualified inspector. 5. Incorrect and Costly Radon Advice We were incorrectly advised that installing a vapor barrier in our crawl space would resolve elevated radon levels. Based on this recommendation, we paid $1,200 to a local pest control company--only to find out it did nothing to fix the issue. A professional radon specialist later explained that proper ventilation is required, which cost us nearly $5,000. This misinformation was both costly and dangerous. Conclusion The inspection felt rushed and careless. Critical issues that any competent home inspector should have identified were either ignored or misdiagnosed. The inspector appeared more interested in finishing quickly than in ensuring our home was safe and sound. We strongly caution others against using TEK Inspections. In our opinion, this company is not committed to its slogan or to providing the level of diligence and professionalism that homebuyers deserve.

Elisa got the site visit scheduled on short notice despite shifting time windows imposed by the developer; she promptly submitted the insurance, bonding and certification documentation required by the developer; she resolved last minute snafus that threatened to cancel the inspection. Ty arrived on site at the appointed time and inspected the home systems thoroughly during the builder-limited 3 hour window. The inspection included IR inspection of appliances, drone inspection of the roof (since developer denied physical access), and physical inspection of crawl and attic spaces. Ty's report was available in less than 24 hours. The report included photos of every nook and cranny inspected, indications of proper and deficient findings, as well recommendations for deficient findings. Recommended.

They used quality wood which makes the drawer more durable and the rails on the side fit perfectly back into place when put back in the cabinet opening.
