First time visiting this establishment and saw the rating so I was kinda nervous to get treatment…read morehere. I had a broken tooth that needed to be removed so I went here to have it taken out. I set an appointment ahead of time so when I arrived for the appointment I didn't have to wait too long to be seen which was nice. However, did take a minute after being seated in a private room to see the actual doctor. But I understood how busy it was. At the end of my exanimation, they told me I needed more work done. I needed three extractions and two fillings which I didn't deem unnecessary so I believed their diagnosis to be truthful. Plus they give you a receipt for your charges. And a free charge for your x-ray and exam. They set up my next appointment which was gonna be scheduled for the Oct 28th. My first appointment with them was on October 9th. I was a bit disappointed since the broken tooth I had was causing me a great deal of pain. The general manager there was very nice and helpful in letting me know if anyone else canceled they made sure to let me know so we could do the extractions sooner. Plus, the doctor who did my extractions was very nice and welcoming. She was very patient with me considering I'm a big baby when it comes to the dentist. Luckily, I got a call two or three days after my first appointment saying they could take me in on Oct 11th. So I was very fortunate that someone canceled and how fast they reached out to me to book me on that day. My extractions were painless and not as scary as I thought it was gonna be. Overall, I recommend coming here since the staff were nice and respectful.

I am going here for a couple broken teeth, among other things. I'm very happy with my experience with Aspen Dental!

I am a patient with a documented disability involving severe dental anxiety, which I disclosed when…read moreI became a patient of Dr. Shawn Dial at Partners In Dental Care after moving back to MI. I was initially told that accommodations could be made. However, based on my personal experience, I encountered challenges with my care and customer service. The day before my first crown appointment, my father suffered a stroke. I still attended the appointment but became very emotional due to anxiety and concern for him. During the visit, Dr. Dial commented that I appeared to have had traumatic experiences in the past and later prescribed medication for a future visit. I also shared that I use an emotional support animal to help manage anxiety. Two days before my permanent crown appointment, my temporary crown cracked. I was told over the phone that another dentist at Partners in Dental Care could place the permanent crown because Dr. Dial was unavailable. When I arrived, I was informed by the other dentist that he would not complete another provider's work. This surprised me, as it differed from what I had been told just an hour before. I asked whether an accommodation could be made so I would not have to repeat a stressful process again in just two days, but it was refused. I returned two days later, and Dr. Dial placed the permanent crown. During that visit, I explained that my emotional reaction at the first appointment was partly due to my father's medical emergency. She acknowledged my situation at that time. Shortly afterward, two days before Christmas, I received a letter from Dr. Dial terminating my care. I have no idea of the reason, as the letter was vague. This decision had not been discussed with me in person, despite having seen Dr. Dial the prior week. I personally found receiving this notice by letter, especially over the holidays, to be distressing and felt a direct phone call or in-person conversation would have been more appropriate. The letter also referenced a 30-day guarantee on their dental work, which I found confusing and below my expectations. Additionally, I observed staff interactions that seemed dismissive. For example, I noticed front desk staff chatter and eye-rolling in situations involving other patients, including an elderly individual using a mobility aid. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend Dr. Dial or Partners in Dental Care. I have included a photo of the letter from Dr. Shawn Dial terminating my care, with all personal information redacted for privacy.
