I will definitely be going back to this business for any future muffler/exhaust work in the future.

Multiple bad experiences here, so this is definitely not a one-off. I gave them the benefit of the…read moredoubt the first time, but they keep dropping the ball. First off, the customer service is terrible. The guys at the front desk are unprofessional and have terrible communication skills, which is not what you want when you're trusting a shop with thousands of dollars worth of work. And definitely not the kinds of guys I would seek their opinion on parts/builds. (Besides the guy who drives the old gen tundra, he's cool). Second, they don't stick to their schedule at all. You can drop your truck off for a 10 AM appointment and it won't even get on a lift until mid afternoon. Then hours later you get a call saying something came up, they need to order parts, they can't finish the job, or now it's going to cost more. This has happened to me multiple times, including a long travel kit install, mounting new wheels, and even just a basic rotation and rebalance. Third, the quality of work has been just as bad. I had them mount and balance brand new 37s on brand new wheels, and I kept finding wheel weights in my driveway. The first time, I brought it back and they said they'd fix it. Instead, they just slapped more weights on and sent me out. Same problem kept happening and I ended up with another handful of weights falling off over time. (and that's just the ones I found, who knows how much actually fell off elsewhere.) When I called again, they wanted me to pay for another rebalance. At that point I just agreed since I also needed a rotation and had a tire with a nail in it. I dropped it off at 10 expecting to get it back in a few hours. At 1 they call and say they can't patch the tire and asked if I want to continue. I told them no because I was going to need to buy another tire and have it installed. At that point all they had done was take that wheel off the truck. Then when I said I'd come pick it up, they told me it wouldn't be ready until 3 because the tech was at lunch. That pretty much sums it up. Poor communication, wasted time, and sloppy work. They're (relatively) cheap for a reason. If you're thinking about bringing your truck here, I'd honestly go somewhere else and save yourself the headache.

One of the best decisions I made was taking my 1966 Mustang Coupe to Autoworks Restomod/Autoworks…read moreParts in Santee, CA. I've had my Mustang since 1997 so needless to say, I've been to a fair share of auto shops over the years. I was referred to Autoworks Restomod by another classic Mustang owner, and reached out to them through Instagram asking if they'd be able to help with the issues I was experiencing with my '66. My Mustang has quite a bit of aftermarket work done to it such as a 1989 5.0 EFI motor with an AOD transmission, power disc breaks, coil over suspension, custom wheels/axles, and a custom rear end, so it has been difficult to find a shop that could work on it. Even before ever stepping through the door, or meeting them in person, the level of service that I received from them was impressive. They were quick to respond, seemed genuinely engaged with my situation and the questions I was asking, and they were able to squeeze me into the shop despite the fact that they had a full garage of other classic Mustangs that they were working on. When I brought my '66 to Autoworks Restomod, it was barely drivable. I actually had to trailer it over to the shop because the rear ended had blown, and my car could barely drive above 30 miles per hour. From the start, the owner Matt, was personally involved with not only the initial meet and greet and diagnosing of the problem, but he actually was in contact with me throughout the entire time my mustang was in the shop. Thanks to Matt and his teams' thorough inspection and testing of my car, they were able to not only fix and replace the rear end, they also discovered a faulty break issue that could have been catastrophic if left unrepaired, and ended up troubleshooting and fixing an electrical/computer issue that I had been dealing with for over 10 years!! Words cannot express how happy I was the day Matt called me and told me that all of the issues that I brought the Mustang in for were fixed and it was ready to be picked up. I am so happy with not only the level of service I received but also for the quality of the work they did. All of the work was completed a few months back in 2021, and I have driven the car weekly and sometimes daily without any issues at all! This Mustang is my first car that I got when I was 16 years old, and I'm grateful to have it back on the road and running like it's brand new. Thank you so much Autoworks Team for all the work that you did!!!

My…read moreparticular situation was an interesting one, my starter had been changed many years ago and I researched all the auto parts stores around just to find out- that I had not purchased said starter at any of them. I could not recall how, why, or where this happened.. but I really didn't want to spend $125 on a new part. My 1994 Toyota truck is kinda sorta on it's last leg and just trying to minimize overall costs ya know? I called and Louie(the owner)mentioned he had the same part in stock. Made a beeline there and arrived within the hour! He rebuilds all types of automotive starters, alternators, and sells newer, used batteries all at discounted prices. Yes he even has Interstate batteries! I don't know about you, but anytime I can deal with the actual business owner it's a win-win for me. Which is less and less common these days. Others have said in their reviews that it's a great place for your auto electric troubles too, which may come in handy one day for me as well. When I arrived, the starter he mentioned was actually a heavy duty one for a 4Runner. I could tell that it was slightly longer, which would make it more difficult for me to install. He immediately offered to rebuild mine while I waited and told me it would be ready in 15-20 minutes! I jumped on this idea and was out of there in no time at all with a rebuilt starter at the super cheap price of $40!! I felt like I got the bro deal! The hardest part without a doubt was removing and installing it, and hopefully it'll be one of the last times in my driveway, on my back..
