The staff availability was very limited. There was only one person working the front. Another person eventually came but it did nothing to speed up service for the, at least, seven people waiting in line. After about fifteen minutes of waiting, the original worker acknowledged the last person in line and told him that there was a self checkout register available. The self checkout register is located right near the front door but not well posted. We all stood waiting in line and did not notice the register. THIS IS A SALVAGE YARD, NOT WALMART. There are also PRIORITIES and to send a trained mechanic to look for an ashtray is NOT very good business. Sending a a person with an attitude to find their own part IS. There are trade-offs when buying used auto-parts and if you DO want to save hundreds if not thousands of dollars versus buying from the Manufacturer, you should learn be nice.

Warning: In my opinion, my experience involved deceptive business practices…read more I called Dynasty Automotive before my appointment and specifically asked two questions: how much the A/C diagnostic would cost and how they would determine what was wrong with my vehicle. I was told the diagnostic would cost about $120 and that they would use a diagnostic tool to identify the problem. After waiting about an hour, I was told they could not diagnose the issue unless I first authorized a $471 A/C recharge, and that I should just let the Freon leak out to see if there was a leak. I was effectively left with two choices: pay about $120 for a "diagnostic" that would provide no diagnosis, or pay $471 for a Freon recharge without knowing whether it would fix the problem, just to continue the diagnosis. Feeling backed into a corner, I approved the recharge. Only after the recharge was completed was I told the evaporator was leaking and given a repair estimate of over $4,100. Later, I was told the dryer listed on the estimate was only a recommendation. What concerned me most were the inconsistent explanations. During my visit, I was told the leak had been identified using water from a water bottle. Later, I was told the recharge was necessary to identify the leak. Those two explanations cannot both be true. I requested a partial refund because I believe the need for a $471 recharge should have been disclosed when I specifically asked how the diagnostic would be performed. My request was denied.

We bought a Dodge minivan there and are very satisfied with it, so I set up an appointment for an oil change, which includes tire rotation. Also we had had a trailer hitch installed elsewhere before that, and afterwards the left rear turn signal didn't work. It has an LED light assembly so I knew it wasn't just a bulb. I took it back to the place that installed the hitch. They replaced the hitch wiring harness under a parts warranty, but afterwards we found it still didn't work. I mention this because I figured I would have VannGannaway look at the turn signal problem during the oil service. When I spoke to them they said it being a Dodge, they might have to take it to the Dodge dealer (whose service ratings aren't nearly as good as Vann Gannaway's). I thought about it and later decided to take it to an auto electric garage for that work, and the problem was fixed. That left just the oil change/tire rotation. When I dropped the van off, I mentioned that the Oil Change alert message ran every time we started the car and could they reset it this time? He said he would tell the technician, but it was a Dodge, so he couldn't guarantee it. Well, they did reset it, so that was good. In conclusion, so far I would recommend them for service for your Chevy, but since we don't have a used car warranty with our vehicle, and since repairs of our Dodge seem to include the possibility of having a Dodge dealer work on it, I will continue to use our long-time service garage.
