You know what I'm not a big fan of? Bad customer service and I have a feeling I'm not the only one…read morethat feels that way. I am in need of having a piece replaced on my vehicle. I have admitted in the past that I am not the most car literate person out there. But I do do my research when something goes wrong. I look up everything I need to know myself and then find the part(s) I need and make sure that everything is taken care of beforehand. That's what I did today, before I left the house and before wasting a stop I made sure that this location had what I needed and I could just stop in and be on my way. Well, let me tell you what a waste of a good twenty minutes that was. I showed up and told them what I needed. I am completely unsure of what the name of the piece I needed but I tell them what it is for and then attempt to find it. After a few minutes the lady that initially helped me had not luck (to note: she was wonderful and apologetic, I would have dealt with her the whole time if I could have). Then another associate comes over and attempts his luck. After searching for a few minutes and giving me the rundown that they don't carry this part I kind of put him on mute in my mind and did a quick search on my phone for the part needed. Surprise, they did have it in store. It's not easy to lie in the information age. So he pulls it up and tells me they have one in stock. After asking how many I needed (bolts that is) I tell him six. He then tries to convince me that there is only one bolt per package and I would have to make multiple stops at other locations to get a total of six. He they goes on to tell me that they are expensive as they are $15 per bolt. I started to catch onto him trying to up sale me, and I'll tell you why. I believe that either he worked at the dealership next door or they have some type of scam going when they see what type of vehicle they have. He tells me that I can go next door to the dealership and they would be able to order my part for me. *Takes a breath* "Well, if I wanted to pay more I would have went directly to them. Instead I came here because I knew that the prices would be better and I could get them easier than waiting for them to be delivered." Not much is said after that, in my mind the conversation was over and I went outside. So I was attempting to one up him at this point and I was going to be petty and order them on my phone and then walk into the store and pick them up right away. After rereading the description I noticed that one package actually contained three bolts, unlike what he was telling me before. So I collected myself, calmed the anger that was starting to rise in me, and walked back into the store. I didn't even look at that guy from before, I just went to a different employee. Gave him the item number that I found and this nice gentleman went and got it for me. Yes, they may have had only one package of the bolts in store, but I at least had three bolts of the six I needed. I then asked if he could call the store up the road and see if they had another package and if they could set it aside and I would be there to pick it up in less than a hour. He did this for me and all was fine. As this gentleman was on the phone with the other store the initial lady I was dealing with came over and apologized for everything that had happened. I reassured her that it was not her fault and not to worry about it. But get it together guy, know your stuff, don't push me off. You wasted my time and left a bad taste in my mouth when it comes to your store.

I just wanted to say thanks in a way that others can view. On 6/27/24, I was traveling with my son…read moreto a college baseball camp. I noticed a noise in my engine and shortly after the A/C went out in my 2004 H2 Hummer. I looked at the engine to find my A/C belt was off and bound up. At ~2 pm on a Thursday, I found Gerard's Automotive Shop and hoped for the best as I was 2 hours from home with work at 8 am the next day and unsure how safe it was to continue driving. They were busy servicing many customers. I asked for help, and I was politely told they were backed up but would take a look in ~45 minutes. ~30 minutes later they took that look and quickly found that the tensioner had gone bad on my A/C unit which caused my belt to slip and bind. Within 2 hours I was taken care of for less than $200. Furthermore, they identified an oil leak, took pics, and sent them to me. The owner chatted with me and my son, gave us cold water and a cookie while we waited. How long has it been in your life since you had such great service as a non-existing client/customer? It's been quite some time for me. I can't thank these guys enough as they not only saved me a ton of time, worries and money, I now know when I travel from Atlanta suburbia for a Harrah's Cherokee Valley River Casino run, I have a trusty mechanic close by when/if I need it. I may just strategize a service visit or repair when I visit the casino just because I know I'll get great service and a fair shake. There are still some good folks out there, and I can vouch that these guys are of that group. Sincerely, Dr. Michael J. Grasso

I recently took my Jeep grand Cherokee to get the trunk button fixed. I've been told it's a little…read morebit of a complicated system because it has to do with the sensors to close the trunk and possibly the trunk motor. From the moment I called until I picked up my car, I had a great experience with Gerard's. I initially spoke with Frank and then Brian took care of me throughout the process. You can tell that they value their work even down to the waiting area inside the shop. There were freshly baked cookies and everything was very neat and clean. I feel like you don't often see that in automotive shops. They accommodated me quickly and were able to solve the problem with my trunk and I am so happy that's it's fixed. I was initially quoted an exorbitant amount down in Florida to fix it and so I am very happy that I was able to find a shop with honest and reliable mechanics!! I will recommend them and will definitley be back in the future. Thank you for helping me, Brian & Frank!!
