I was experiencing some electrical issues with my car. I am pretty car savvy, but I did not have any tools on hand. I went to the AutoZone over on 27th Avenue near 8th Street, but it was an absolute zoo. No one seemed able to help, and it felt like they could not have cared less. After 15 minutes of trying to get some assistance, I just got frustrated and left. I sat back in my car, with my dashboard lighting up like a Christmas tree, and remembered there was an Advance Auto Parts on Coral Way and 27th, so I drove over there. I walked in expecting the same experience I just had at AutoZone, but boy, was I wrong. The first thing that happened was a warm welcome from a guy named Michael. Before I even reached the register, he called out with an authentic smile, 'Welcome to Advance Auto Parts, how may I help you?' It immediately put a smile on my face. After I vented to him for about 10 minutes about my car troubles and my experience at the other store, he said, 'You know what? Let me finish with this customer, and I am going to personally help you.' He hooked my car up to his personal, high quality scanning device. It showed no error codes, but he spotted a burnt out fuse and explained that my battery needed replacing. He mentioned that German cars rely heavily on battery power for their high end functions; when the battery begins to fail, those functions start shutting down and causing false readings on the dash. He gave me an amazing price on a new battery and even installed it for me right there. I was so happy; the shaking stopped, and all the warning lights on my dash disappeared. I told Michael, 'You are amazing and great at your job--what is your long term goal?' Michael said, 'Well, I love helping people. In the grand scheme of things, I want to become a manager of my own store, and who knows, maybe even own my own store someday.' What a cool dude, he deserves a manager spot immediately! The whole staff there is awesome; they all deserve a raise. read more

I want to commend Michael for his willingness to help. This location is near my job, when I need something I stop by, it's a win win with traffic and all. There have been two occasions that I've needed something niche for my project, and the gentleman has taken his time to help and give me different options on lubricants and making my own vacuum lines. Thanks very much sir! read more

I visited the Advance Auto Parts location at 2151 SW 27th Ave to purchase a new battery for my car, and I had an outstanding experience. As someone who previously worked in hospitality, I recognize exceptional customer service when I see it. Christopher and Francisco truly exemplified it. They were both incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and took the time to assist me every step of the way. They clearly explained what was going on with my car, walked me through my options, and recommended the best course of action without making me feel rushed or pressured. This morning my life started out like a sad country song. Everything was going wrong and just when my day seemed like it could get no worse, my car broke down. I had to get it jump started and I called around to the nearest garages by my house, hoping to get a new battery installed quickly and go on my way to work. I was told that it was going to take a minimum of three or more hours and I was already late for work. Luckily I found Advanced Auto Parts store near my house and Francisco, their salesman was amazing. He explained my best battery options clearly and loaded up my new battery without charging a penny for the installation in no time. It was the best customer service ever!!! read more

Advance Auto Parts - Advanced Auto parts Miami - Auto Parts & Supplies Near Me - Miami, Florida

This Advance Auto Parts location on 27th near Coral Way looks older, much smaller and run down compared to most of this company's stores. I've come here a few times, but can't ever recall finding what I was looking for or making a purchase from this store. Most recently I looked up an item on their website, it said this location had them in stock, but when I came here I was told they were out. When I explained their website says it's in stock here and that's why I came, the attendant didn't even look for the item I was asking about, nor did he take a minute to look in his computer to see if it was in stock, he simply told me they had returned the one(s) they had to the company as they'd been on the shelf for years, and they were still waiting on a credit for them. He did take a moment to call another Advance store a few miles away to confirm they had what I needed in stock. The parking for this location is poor, as there are only about 1/2 dozen spaces located directly behind the building, they can be difficult to get in and out of due to the small size and layout of the lot, and the fact that people from the adjacent Starbucks seem to park here. I'll usually pass this place by and go to the Auto Zone several blocks ahead on 27th, as I've always had 4 star experiences at that other store. read more

This place should just shut its doors. Staff is rude, shelves are unorganized and labels are not accurate. Store is a mess and the staff could care less about what you need. If you don't speak Spanish they treat you like a second rate citizen. Unbelievable the lack of customer service here. The manager here should be ashamed of themselves l. The guy with the ponytail is extremely rude and flippant. Could care less about any of your requests or needs. He just stood there and had a I could care less about you or what you want attitude. I asked if he could look up my car to ensure I was getting the right fuel cleaner and he said with attitude he had no information about that. Stay far away from this location. read more

Francisco was super helpful! I came in with a dead battery and he helped me replace the battery in the parking. He was great!

I stopped by one day to get some window cleaner, wasn't really in the mood swing by home depot. The staff kept eyeing me like if I was gonna steal something, when I went to pay the guy asked for ID, he looked at it for probably 30 seconds which is forever. Apparently hear people love to steal things and come with stolen credit cards. I would never buy any car parts here for what, to get left on the side of the road? If you can't afford dealer parts or Napa parts I understand but beware, these parts are cheap and not worth the price. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Went to this location after my battery died. I was helped by a young man, he charged me and changed out the battery. Everything was fine until I get a fraud alert on my card. Since I was short on cash that week I had to use a credit card. This card had absolutely no balance on it. And the week after using it at this store I get notified someone tried to buy tools at a hardware store. This place seemed shady but it was the nearest thing I could get to. My advice is TAKE CASH or go elsewhere. read more

Warning: towing scam!!! An employee of the store directed me to park in a space behind the store which had a hidden no parking sign buried in a hedge then caused a delay while I was trying to check out.. A City of Miami parking enforcement officer gave me a $28 ticket and at the end of the ~6 minutes I was in the store, the tow truck pulled up just as I drove off. There are barely ever customers in the store.... towing kickbacks must be keeping the lights on. read more

Worst advance auto part ever, I was giving the account phone number and the guy (Alec) told me that I can't use that. I ask why and he told me I'm gonna have to call to verify. First of all the first thing he had to do was simple, sir you gonna have to give me second to call and verify. So simple, I left everything there and left. read more

This store is great, I mentioned I was having batterie issues and Francisco immediately went outside to test the charge on my car batterie. He concluded, the batterie was the issue and he installed the batterie with a smile on his face! Model employee! I tried to give him a $10 tip and he wouldn't take it, he mentioned he was just doing his job! read more

I went in a couple weeks ago for a couple things, and the guy working there -- I wish I'd got his name -- was really great. He was incredibly nice and just went way above and beyond in helping me get everything I needed all straight and didn't make me feel bad at all that I'm so dumb about cars. This was not the level of service I expect from an auto parts store, more like a really expensive restaurant or something. Anyway, it was awesome. Five stars. Next time I need car stuff, I'm going here, and you should too. read more

Every single time I come here to ask a question, the guy I ask that is ALWAYS there working doesn't have the slightest clue what I'm talking about. I ask general questions related to cabin air filters, headlight bulbs, etc. What is the point of having "knowledgeable professionals" if they can't provide just that. read more

Buy a new battery and they install for free!!! Great service by Damian!

I went in to have my car's battery replaced. Francisco was incredibly helpful and replaced the battery with a smile.

Robert at this location is a true lifesaver. He changed my cars battery with no problem and was incredibly professional and courteous throughout the entire process. The auto zone across the street refused to assist in any way. Definitely recommend this location and this employee. read more
